The competition in the PL is unbelievable nowadays. Teams who were never in the top half of the table are now heading the top.
Chelsea/Newcastle/Villa will all massively improve.
Look at Liverpool. 1 league in 30 years but at least they have a steady ownership etc. United could dominate if they had got the Qatar ownership but they got ineos who so far have made mistake after mistake.
United have no real world class players. Horrific captain, no leaders. So by the time united improve so will loads of other clubs.
Look how many points prem league winners get nowadays. United weren’t getting them amount of points under SAF which shows competition nowadays is far higher.

A United manager needs to juggle all the plates and deal with more scrutiny from the press than any other manager in world football, as well as relaying instructions to a squad who all speak English and communicate with the board who all speak English. 🤷🏻
