glad your dog cooperates. My one pekingese is impossible w/ eye drops. I'm trying to condition him now. It will take weeks I'm sure.... if ever. I can apply ointment (from a droplet on my thumb... not the bottle) as I hold a piece of food on a pillow near his face he will allow me to transfer the blob of annointment to his eye. As for eyedrops.... I've tried a towel. tried having someone else hold him. tried the cone. tried coming from behind. If he thinks a bottle is getting near his face he goes bonkers... he snaps and bucks like a bronco and screams like he's dying. My one vets said if he does that just give up b/c you dont want to make him more fearful.
I agree with your vet. I would just make the motions with no meds in your hand. Also, try coming from behind and over so you are not coming right at him. Good luck!
That is so cute that Bishop squeezes his eyes shut so you can't get in there. Lol. awwwe. Bullies are so darn cute, I just can't stand it! I have a 6 yr old Frenchie named Murray. Today we are going to do a hands on with your ear cleaning exercise from your other video.
My dog just had surgery for Entropion. She has stitches around the upper and lower lid, I have to give her eye drops three times a day and I can not get her to open her eye for them. I don't want to tug her lids open around that area because I am scared to put her in pain or worse rip open one of the stitches. What do you think I should do??
