The shopkeeper said to your guide that I normally sell it for 600 rupees but as he is our guest, he can have it for free as a gift. Trust me 600 PKR is what a local would pay for it so it's a really good price. Please don't haggle in KPK province as shopkeepers would either sell you stuff on the local price or even discounted price since you're a guest. If you haggle, that mean the shopkeeper will have to sell it to you on loss(they won't refuse selling you on loss since they respect guests). Enjoy your time in Pakistan.

The paratha is a more crispy layered roti, the one you had with the omelet for breakfast. Hi, for the cash issue, usually what I do when I travel to Pakistan is like I have different online remittance accounts: Remitly or RIA etc. Where you can send money by cash pickup to your name as recipient/self, and then you can get/collect this money by showing your passport/Id at any bank. And money usually available in minutes once it sent/transferred. I hope this will help for the next time. Love from Berlin. :)
For example: in case for Remitly remittance just download the app and once it's signed up, just connect to your credit card and simply send to your name: in some cases it verify by sending code to your mobile number on which you signed up, so this won't be any issue b/c usually by roaming you will get message on your number. :)

Dude ,that hat is called Pakol... it is traditionally crafted out of a fabric called "Chitrali Pati" (Chitral is a neighbouring region saddled between Swat and Afghanistan) Pati is a fabric with narrow breadth ! u got a decent bargain,though ! Pakol is worn by Frontier Corps and Northern Light Infantry soldiers deployed along Pakistan's north and north west !
