      I totally agree with this beautiful comment. This wS one of the best tutorials I ever listened to. Your voice is lovely and you ate so easy to understand. The only thing I did not hear is which Cricket Machine you use. I want to but one and I thinking the Cricket Joy. Which model did you choose??

    Thank you, thank you! I was thrilled to finally get my Cricut three years ago - I mean over-the-top excited. Well...that machine never left the box 😥 because I was so overwhelmed ... You have inspired me to get that thing set up and create!!

    It's very helpful video. Some of the tips I was able to figure on my own after 3 weeks using cricut, some you mentioned I already saw and heard from others. But most of your tips are absolutely needed for beginners. Thank you so much.

    Thank you so much Corrine! I am new to Cricut and I am actually a glass fuser and I like to make stencils and "silk" (mesh) screens to use on glass and have been struggling with the type of vinyl to use (thickness), font thickness, type of transfer tape, etc. It feels there is definitely a bit of a steep learning curve, but worth it when you finally complete ONE thing just right! This has been super helpful. Thank you!

    Great video, I love the way you talk about all the options out there and not just cricut like some vlogger's. Speaking of hideous cricuts pay wall comes to mind, I have never seen a company that tries to nickel and dime you to death after you purchase their product like they do. I sure wish there was a mid range Silhouette machine.

    It is amazing how many people don't research "before" they buy a Cricut cutting machine. I couldn't afford to spend that much money without knowing what the machine did and how to navigate the Design Space software. I learned the basics of Design Space "Before" I bought the machine in fall of 2014. I already knew what I wanted to do with the machine (use the Print then Cut feature) So I learned the basic features of DS, and then how to do Print then Cut images (no I couldn't actually cut anything without an actual machine, but I could upload images and create & save projects). Once I was confident in understanding Design Space, I bought the machine . I had it opened and out of box and set up, the day it arrived and have been happily creating since that day 7+ yrs ago. When ever I read posts saying - I just got a Cricut Machine bundle and I am clueless on what to do with it all 🙁 , I just wonder if those same folks buy cars without knowing how to drive one.
    Thank you for offering great video tutorials that are easy to understand and help others make good use of their new machines .

      Keep in mind a lot of people receive them as gifts so they didn’t maybe know the machine was coming. And it can be really overwhelming to get something like this as well. That’s why I’m here! To make everything much less scary! :)

    Enjoyed your video very much. New subscriber! It’s funny what you said about just getting the machine out of the box… three years ago I bought myself a cricket explore at Christmas time… And I ended up returning it unopened because I was so intimidated. This past Christmas I bought myself a cricket maker, and, again returned it but not out of fear….I watched some videos and realized that my old but unused cricket cartridges (I had a “legacy” machine..the cricut mini which used cartridges) would not work with the maker without an adapter which is currently out of stock. I returned it and was able to get a great deal on an explorer machine. Unfortunately, I had to go out of town just after I purchased it and will not be back for several days to come. But as soon as I get home I am opening that darn box! Thanks for the inspiration!💕

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You machine does not contain tools. I have hundreds of videos showing all sorts of things you can do with your cricut step by step. The machine will come with typically one mat some do get lucky and get twoZ if you have an explore series you get a pen a blade and a few materials that’s it if you got the maker you get the maker you get the blade a rotary blade and a mat. Anything else you need like weeding tools, squeegees and more you need to buy on your own. I have a comprehensive list in my website at corinneblackstone.com of all the accessories you will need to have to use your machine

      Honestly in my opinion the maker 3 is not an upgrade. The only difference is it cuts off mat but it only works with cricut smart vinyl to do so and it’s not a good vinyl. The maker 3 is actually quite a bit slower than the maker when it comes to cutting items on the mat as well. I would save the extra money get a maker and use the extra you saved to grab some of the tools like the quick swap housing, the engraving head, the scoring wheel and the knife blade.

      I have forever used contact paper. Some of the transfer tape is so stinking sticky. Try it out. Plus way cheaper

    I loved your video! I'm sure that took a lot of time & energy to film! I just got my machine yesterday and want to hit the road running but didn't know where to start! This video gave me a ton of tips to think about and answered questions I didn't know I had! I subscribed to you here on TH-cam and will be looking forward to your Facebook group and watching more videos! Thanks again!

      Charlie, If ever you have questions you can private message me for help. I've been using the Cricut maker for 2 years now and have tried a lot of different crafts with it.I feel I know a lot about it and I love helping people craft.

      @@bariwalsh5961 so I don't understand how it uses a pen? It can draw handwriting, or draw like a flower? But I have a black/white line art I'm trying to make it draw but it only does the outlines? How do I get it to draw the middle parts? I'm very good at Photoshop/illustrator if I need to make layers or something.
