My biggest problem with this movie is the reason Anakin turns. I thought for sure that Padme would birth the twins and then die in battle or as a result of something she did for Obi Wan, causing Anakin to lose his shit. Instead, we get this bizarre, “She’s going to die but I’ll show you how to save her” which has always struck me as just dumb. It does have some poignant moments but it is heavily flawed.
Absolutely, I think the Jedi should have gotten padme killed some how through negligence. We need a better reason for him to turn, especially with the expanded universe showing him as this good and noble guy lol
@@ntmaproductions exactly. And to have her die of a ‘broken heart’ and randomly name the kids the second they pop out is so awkwardly done. She should’ve died fighting for Obi Wan and the kids removed, and they should’ve told Anakin the kids died as well. Then again, in Empire he already knows he has kids. But something like that. Seems like an easy write.
Lucas and co. really dropped the ball on Anakin's character arc and it makes me laugh that some fans still consider it a brilliantly realised and a well written journey to the dark side when he clearly just flipped a switch in the 3rd film without any weight behind it. Making it that Padme died in childbirth when we know she didn't because Leia remembers her mother as a child in ROTJ was clearly a means to justify his acceleration to the dark side. Such lazy writing and poorly realised. That's before you even mention the fact that he straight up murdered children like a madman. But anyway what do I know... "Greatest Star Warssssssss film ever!!!!! "Hello there.." "You underestimate my powerrrrrrrr" "From my point of view the Jedi are evil!" 🤮
That’s why it frustrates me when people talk about how “meaningful” the prequels are. Nothing the characters say makes sense and the only time the prequels shine is when they’re throwing over the top action sequences at you. The action is pretty good but you have to balance it out with well acted/directed, slower paced dialogue scenes so that the pacing isn’t messed up, which is a place Episode 3 digs itself pretty deep into.
The Prequels contradict the Original Trilogy in many ways. For example, Vader told Luke that Obi-Wan once tried to redeem him but gave up after it was futile. We saw none of that in Revenge of the Sith since Obi-Wan went to Mustafar to straight up kill Anakin and made no attempts to reason with him. It would have been more impactful if Obi-Wan was in Coruscant and witnessed Anakin's fall in person which would have been far more emotional. Also, having Anakin being mostly a machine throughout the war is far better than just being roasted like a chicken with Obi-Wan as a witness who made no attempts to end Anakin's suffering. Luke would have disliked Obi-Wan further for letting his father burn rather than finding ways to change him from his evil ways (which makes Luke's bitterness in The Last Jedi even more plausible to my disappointment).
No. Obi Wan finding out the way he did was the best. The thing that sucked was Lucas' amateur cinematography and his bad direction. Both Ewan and Natalie could've had a great scene but it seemed so autistic it's hard to watch.
And that's the fundamental flaw of doing prequels in the first place. The backstory is vague but it ultimately hinges on a story that's already been written and it's not like the events are real so you have to take vague throwaway pieces of dialogue that are just meant to add flavour to that original story and then turn it into it's own thing. Thereby you end up ruining the mystery and imagination of that backstory and it has a knock on effect of potentially diminishing the originals. So in other words the only way the prequels would work is if they were very well written and the acting and dialogue was excellent.

Anakin at the beginning of Episode 3: "we've got to save these 2 random clones." Palpatine: "If you turn evil, we will learn how to save your wife, who is due in like 10 hours, from dying in childbirth." Anakin: "I'm gonna murder a dozen children. That's a good trick!" Palpatine implies he already knows how, and then when he tells Anakin he doesn't know, Anakin doesn't question it at all, or the fact that they're expected to somehow learn this dark side super secret in like a few hours when Padme is due to give birth and die, and so I guess he figured murdering a bunch of other children was a speedrun strat to darkside powers. Like the entire movie is across the span of 4 days. Vader wasn't seduced by the dark side, he was tricked, on account of being the biggest idiot in the galaxy.

Revenge of the Sith is an amazing movie, the best Star Wars movie of all time, extremely rich, the most beautiful, moving, a lot of action, the darkest, the saddest, the most dramatic, the most epic, the characters and the actors are so awesome, a lot of cult and memorable scenes, so much cult dialogues, suspense, tension, real fights, a greater development of the lore and the background leading to the original trilogy, the rise to power of the emperor, and completing and strengthening the original trilogy especially on the development and the story of Darth Vader, a deeply wounded man, amazing direction, amazing special effects and that gives more weight and a whole new point of view on the events and the stakes of the original trilogy. The twist about the clones ordered by Palpatine to kill all the Jedi and one of the greatest twists in movie history.
@@guiwom7692you’re allowed to like what you like. But to say ROTS is the greatest SW movie ever and order 66 is one of the greatest twists is MOVIE history is confusing to me for this reason: how much of that emotion is caused by watching the Clone Wars series? How much because of the REAL master piece being John Williams’ score he put together? If you watched the original 2005 ROTS and subjectively think it’s great then that’s fine, I understand and respect your opinion. But I ask that you at least consider that, because from my perspective, up to order 66, the clones in the movies alone have been the same thing as stormtroopers. They’re just mindless robots that look the same their much cooler and fleshed out template father and the only scene that’s dedicated to the clones prior to the order is in EP 2 with the IMPERIAL MARCH playing as they board battleships clearly intended to evoke the Imperial Star destroyers. As for Anakin being denied the rank of master, that scene is very devoid of energy in every character. I love the concept of the prequels but the execution of the movies themselves are far from what I would call masterpieces. You’re free to disagree with me but I personally enjoy the Force Awakens much more than any of the Prequels if I don’t watch the Clone Wars before I watch Revenge. TFA has equally intriguing concepts, charismatic characters that are fun to watch, and the scenes aren’t carried by the soundtrack to evoke emotion. That’s the way I see it, if you disagree that’s fine, I’m happy to hear you share what you enjoy! ❤
Anakin: "I'm scared of my wife eventually dying." Palpatine: "I see. Let me give you a shitty sales pitch with no proof I can save her, and I need you to completely abandon your Jedi principles and your prior established independent nature. This includes killing younglings (cause I can maybe help Padme). Okay, here's your new name. Now go out and kill."
It's way more complex than that, Anakin had been shown to view Palpatine as a friend in the second movie, Anakin was also desperate, The Jedi and his master Obi-Wan had refuted his dreams in the last movie only for them to come true and for his mother(the one who was there for him and raised him) to die. Now, someone other than the Jedi is offering to save his wife, even then he does the right thing and reports him, he has also been told all his life that criminals deserve trial and Jedi are the peacekeepers but what does Windu do, he attempts to kill an unarmed and what seems to be a "weakened person", that person being the only one who can save his wife. When Anakin kills Windu, all his options are closed, if he remains with the Jedi, Palpatine will report him and he will lose everything, if he tries to attack, Palpatine will kill him, he has no escape from this situation. I honestly I would've very preferred, him turning closer to the movie's end but it's fine the way it is.
@@marzipanmonkey They use specific interpretations of the films and use the works of other authors, (who easily write better than lucas), to justify their own takes even when it´s not backed up by the official canon stablished Like, some people think Maul, Dooku and Grievous are parallels to Vader even though Lucas specifically sabotaged the version of Grievous that more resembles Vader, and is the version the majority of the fandom adores.
@@josuebarba9361 The version of Grievous we got was purely there to sell toys and only remembered in memes. He was simply a nothing character beyond that. Agreed that it's hilarious how many prequel fanboys will do somersaults to try and connect everything together to make it look like it was well thought out and structured.
@@marzipanmonkey it wasn't rushed tho. Anakin has made known that he thought a dictatorship could be better than a democracy and he was constantly pushing for more power. Him joining Palpatine was also an act of desperation and he figured he could overthrow Palpatine eventually if things didn't pan out. The Jedi had little value to him when Padmé was under threat and they offered no recourse for him so he just naturally joined Palpatine.

I wouldn't say this film is the best in the trilogy, mainly because they are all so bad, that it's like trying to determine which pile of feces stinks the least. I hated how they inserted nasty stuff in it, supposedly to try and make it 'serious' and 'dark'. We never needed to see Anakin k-ll children. But they had to make him do it to make it look like he had become evil. The truth is, he didn't have to do that in order to become evil. What happened was that his character was portrayed as very nasty from the start. He was never likeable. So to make a bastard look like a super bastard, you have to make him k-ll children. It would have been much better had he been a very likeable guy to begin with, who ran into serious emotional problems and frustrating situations, and simply snapped at some point. That would have been a lot better, and he wouldn't need to k-ll children to make that point. Then again, this whole 'dark side', which I guess means 'evil', is never explained, just as the jedi are never explained. I do not understand this moral universe or the religion of these people. It is never explained. I never saw these jedi do anything good. Ever. They didn't even free the slaves on that desert planet. They were engaged in political machinations, and that was all they did. Just as these 'sith' never did anything evil. They seemed to run the galaxy in pretty much the same manner, only more efficiently. Didn't the 'good' republic fight thousands of planets who did not want to be a part of it? How is the empire worse, when it did the same thing? Forget it. These films can be fun if they have good characters in them. They haven't had any since Return of the jedi.

Original ideas isn't what makes a show or movie good.
Revenge of the sith is amazing. Just look at the world building and its ending is 10x better than the sequels ending. The saber fights are the best, and the acting and cgi was so much better than the first two. It’s my favorite SW movie tying with Empire. This is my opinion. What I’m saying is the way they set up Anakin’s turn to the dark side was actually really good. The prequels’ main purpose was to expand on what the OT created, and they did a really great job on that.
Thank goodness for old Palps that Yoda is also dumb because both Yoda and Palpatine simultaneously agree to split up from their biggest respective asset, Obi-Wan and Anakin, instead of Yoda being like, "let's go deal with Palpatine together, and then Anakin". Instead Obi-Wan begs Yoda not to be the one to have to kill Anakin and Yoda's like, "nah, you have to kill" which is just so in character for prequel Yoda who is basically a weapon-loving war monger at this point. What the hell was Palpatine going to do if Anakin died in the fight with Obi-Wan which nearly happened like 8 times in that overblown, narratively impotent fight, particularly when he was nearly cut in half and nearly fell directly into a pool of lava.
1:37 here’s another thing, Palpatine: “Get help, you’re no match for him, he’s a Sith Lord.” Here’s what obi wan should’ve said. Obi Wan: “Get help from where? From who? Who on this ship could help us? And how do you even know what a Sith Lord is?” Here’s what he actually says, Obi Wan: “Chancellor Palpatine, Sith Lords, are our speciality.” …Oh, sure they are. That’s why this same guy kicked your ass in the last movie. Mhmm.
Everyone's known what a Sith lord is since the first movie, dude. >>> Darth Maul is a Sith lord. And even before the first one, since Sith Lords have existed for almost 1,000 years.
@@natalieportmanfan1817 in defense of a chancellor, why or how does he have any knowledge or understanding of what a sith was? Weren’t the sith supposed to be a myth to the Jedi given that they haven’t seen or heard one in a thousand years? (According to those snoozefest films?) In the OT, they just referred to them as dark Jedi. The term sith wasn’t even mentioned until the prequels. Plus isn’t it kind of dumb that every dark Jedi has to have the name “darth” and have a red lightsaber?
And you have toxic fans acting like Obi-Wan vs Anakin in RotS is the best saber duel ever made. They all forgot how rightfully clowned on the fight was for the spins and drawn-out scenes.
Constantly Obi Wan is doing shit that really Anakin should be doing, like jumping out of windows onto assassin droids that he has no idea isn't also a bomb, or jumping down to show off in front of Grievous when he could have been instantly murdered at literally any second in the fight if Grievous gave the order, until the clones arrived, or how Obi Wan was the one basically saying "let those Clones die, we have more important things to do" and Anakin was the one trying to save them. There is absolutely zero consistent characterization between them. And then Obi Wan has the gall to sit there like an idiot and say, "I hate it when he does that" when Anakin jumps out of the speeder. Like no Obi Wan, you quite literally already showed him and us that doing dumb shit like that is a perfectly viable option.
I completely disagree. The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Solo, The Rise Of Skywalker, and Rogue One are all better than Revenge Of The Sith and especially better than Attack Of The Clones and The Phantom Menace, in my opinion.
@@darthtrip7188 From certain perspectives sure but they lack the imagination of the prequels. The only one's I prefer over the prequels in terms of emotion and writing is The Force Awakens and Solo lol. Sadly the last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker where so busy "fixing" the previous entries it kind of ruins the whole series. Force awakens is pretty good as a stand alone, and while solo has some eye rolly moments I actually like that film quite a bit. I plan on making a video defending solo next week.
@@ntmaproductions I'm sorry but every Sequel Trilogy film is better than Attack Of The Clones and The Phantom Menace and I also think The Force Awakens, no matter how unoriginal it comes off at times, is still a better film than Revenge Of The Sith. Just my opinions. The Phantom Menace is an emotionally dead film to me. The actors seem to not have chemistry with each other in that film. The actors gave their characters absolutely no charisma in that film. I think you could take The Phantom Menace completely out of the Prequel Trilogy and it wouldn't change hardly anything. Attack Of The Clones isn't much better in terms of emotion. The love story between Anakin and Padme is so forced that it's unintentionally awkward, weird, and hilarious. The CGI is all over the place. CGI Yoda flipping and jumping all over the place even though he has to use a cane to walk and dies just a mere 20 or so years later. This stuff is just the tip of the iceberg with all of the problems I have with the Prequels. The Sequels aren't perfect but I still easily prefer the Sequels over the Prequels. That's just me though.
Don't get me wrong I totally agree attack of the clones and phantom menace are terrible and Revenge of the sith has issues, but I think in terms of adding to the greater star wars mythos the prequels do a lot. I still like the Force Awakens quite a bit I just think the studio kinda ruined the trilogy by being directionless in the approach. I mean in a lot of ways episode 8 could have been removed not harming the story a ton because it was so ignored in Episode 9
The duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin on Mustafar is the best lightsaber battle in the entire Star Wars saga, not only in terms of spectacle but also in terms of the dramatic intensity of seeing the two best friends fight to the death, with a dramatic finale featuring one of the most emblematic quotes in cinema history. «You were the Chosen One ! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them ! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness !». Dude.
No, the character animation of the Clone Wars is god awful. Everyone looks like nutcrackers. Also from what I hear, the characters aren’t faithful to the live action counterparts. The scenes in Episode III contradict the events of Clone Wars. Also you shouldn’t have to watch eight seasons of a tv show to make a two hour movie good. You can say that about any terrible movie. Give any terrible movie an eight season TV show and it will probably make it good too. Episode III should have been good on its own.
@@SterlingHernandez-bx2jl The characters look like nutcrackers. And so what if it’s animated, X-Men 97 is animated and 1000 times truer to the content that came before.
Great video! Especially love how you pick out how bloated and ridiculous the Obi-Wan v Anakin fight is in RotS. The dialogue, the ridiculous set pieces (I remember bursting out laughing when they swung back and forth like Tarzan for the first time..), the awkward choreography. Contrast that to RotJ which actually has an emotional punch to each and every swing and dialogue that builds the intensity and drama.
Great video! It sums up the issues with this movie super well. I can't believe people who say how good the prequels are. The movie's third act feels like a rushed Cliff Notes version of what it was supposed to accomplish, like "Anakin becomes Vader? Check. Purge the Jedi? Check. Obi-Wan vs Vader? Check. Kill all the prequel characters? Check. Luke and Leia being born? Check."
If Anakin's close relationship with Palpatine was introduced at the end of Attack of the Clones, this film would have had the entire runtime to focus on Anakin's transition to Vader in a much more focused way.
You're not special for seeing Anakin has always been genocidal and entitled. Still isn't written well and no one has any actual reason to empathize with Vader now.
Anakin matured during the Clone Wars and in Revenge of the Sith. Even Obi-Wan acknowledged this. He is angry with the Jedi sure, but that does not explain how he became genocidal and straight-up evil within a few hours.
14:25 I felt like the Yoda and Palpatine fight felt unnecessary. The battle came to a draw, both of them came out the fight unscathed, and Yoda just gave up for no reason. I think what probably would’ve worked was if at the end of the fight Yoda loses and suffered a injury that would need him to use the cane that walks around with and after enduring the injury he has no moral to fight the Palpatine again and THEN he goes into exile. Side note: George Lucas really should’ve put more thought and common sense into Prequels cause I can’t stand the dumb decisions characters made.
no, haters like you can go to hell, the prequels are so much better than the originals, and you're not ready to accept it for pure nostalgia of the original trilogy. The prequels didn't remake anything from the original trilogy, they expanded the universe, there's a real political context, more planets, a darker and definitely less manichean story, Palpatine and Vader are better developed and have more depth, and that's great because otherwise it would have been boring if they had redone the same thing, and the originals are far from perfect, they have a lot of flaws, the special effects in particular have aged and the lightsaber fights are almost all soft and the story has a lot of scripted facilities, C3PO is annoying as well as the ewoks and Yoda is so boring while in the prequels he is cooler with a lightsaber, Darth Vader has no personality and the emperor is ridiculous while in the prequels, we give a love story to Anakin and it's sad because Padme is dead because of the emperor and when Vader takes the emperor and throws him in the void in Return of the Jedi it gives a real relief to this scene because it's all his fault, and the fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin gives more weight to their reunion in the Death Star. And the sequel trilogy sucks because it didn't bring anything to the universe, no new planets (Jakku is just Tattooine), a story that repeats the one of the original trilogy with the return of the emperor for an incoherent fan service, Star Killer as death star, Han Solo as Obi-Wan with the same death at the same time, Kylo Ren as Darth Vader and Rey is a stupid Disney princess with the worst kiss in the history of cinema! In the prequels, there is the best love story ever, great dialogues, perfect actors and a more interesting story than a "boom bam bing" story like the originals but if you prefer laser shots and spaceships to a more complex story of politics, murders, corruptions, good for you but go see elsewhere because I'm just tired of justifying myself to the haters. I watched episodes 1,2,3 before 4,5,6 and 1,2,3 are definitely the best. If you haven't seen the prequels before the originals, you can't understand how the prequels are great movies because your judgement is biased by your imagination of what those movies could have been. The prequels are not failures at all, it's just that the fanboys imagined another story, but the prequels don't give you what you want but what you need, unlike the sequels.
@@SDfan2002 The real joke is all the haters who get excited about the original trilogy even though it's older than the prequels and the story is more full of inconsistencies than the prequels, like Darth Vader can read Luke's thoughts in VI but not Leia's in IV and he can spot the Millennium Falcon in V but not Obi-Wan in IV and the passage at Jabba's place is useless besides being incoherent because where do C3PO and R2 know where Jabba lives? The training with Yoda in V lasts too long, the battle of Hoth too. And the ewoks are unbearable pain in the ass! You criticize the fact that Revenge of the Sith is tied to A New Hope when it takes place 20 years before, but we talk about sequels where the same ships from the original trilogy are put back in when it takes place 30 years after. Where do you want me to believe that Han Solo is still a smuggler and still with the Millennium Falcon?
@@SDfan2002 The prequels at least took the trouble to modify the ships to really show us the evolution of the ships between those of the Republic and those of the Empire.
Maul and Dooku should have been one character (Maul's schemes and Dooku's ideology) since it is better to have Sidious' apprentice (before Vader) stick around for all three films until Palpatine orders Anakin to kill him. It's how Vader became popular in the first place. Just have the Sith Apprentice wear a mask with a hidden identity in Phantom Menace and have his identity be revealed in Attack of the Clones as a fallen Jedi and the leader of the Separatist movement. Also, Grievous is only there just to sell toys and is a plot device to get Obi-Wan off of Coruscant during Order 66. If Grievous was never a thing, we could have had more scenes with Anakin and Sidious (Dialogue triumphs over action). Naboo should have been Alderaan in the first place. Exploring Alderaan in the prequels would have given weight to its destruction in New Hope and introduced Bail Organa properly in the Phantom Menace, explaining why he is an avid supporter of the Jedi Order.

@@reignzgamez1475 No, the prequels are not "trash", they are great movies more than you might think. "Trash" doesn't reinvent its universe by enlarging it and developing the emperor and Darth Vader Anakin better than the original movies did, and "trash" doesn't create new planets like Coruscant, Utapau, Naboo for heaven, Mustafar for hell, and "trash" doesn't take risks in giving emotion such as sadness and sorrow towards a villain as iconic as Darth Vader, and "trash" doesn't develop the political context better than in the original movies, and "trash" doesn't have a dream cast like Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor, Ray Park, Samuel L. Jackson, Ian McDiarmid and Christopher Lee and "trash" doesn't have beautiful special effects that spank modern movies.
As someone who loves this film. I had a mental breakdown. In all seriousness I disagree. Revenge of the Sith is great. I feel like you misunderstood Anakin's turn to the dark side. We see throughout the film the Jedi order doesn't trust Anakin. For instance when they didnt give him the rank of master. This pissed him off. We see it again when they send Kenobi to kill Grievous and not him. And with Palpatine's influence. He believed he was owed the Jedis respect. And then when Windu confronts Palpatine, Anakin sees Windu is going to kill him. Anikan belives this is not the jedi way and he must dtand trial. Remember in the opera when Palpatine said the jedi just wabt power? Well this is exactly what Anakin sees here. In his head he's like "Oh my god! Palpatine was right!" And with Palpatine saying he can save Padme using the dark side, he chose the dark side. Basically his turn wasnt necessarily because he thought it was right, it was mostly his pride, ego, his love and grooming by Palpatine.
@@ntmaproductionsAgain wasn't exactly that. Was a determining a factor but it was more Palpatines manipulation. I feel like Anakin knew what he was doing was wrong but Palpatine and his distrust in the jedi order made him do it anyway.
Um... Okay? Trying to save padme through old sith folklore instead of calling a f*cking doctor to get her checked out and maybe give her a C section is like summoning Zeus to fix your lights instead of calling an electrician. A basic level of common sense could've foiled ALL of Palpatine's plans. Wait oh... I guess he was using the force to make people stupider or some shit so that anakin could become Darth vader.... wow the force really is a great device for excusing sloppy, shitty writing 🤦🏾♂️
@@SamuelDlbDid you not watch the movie or are you just stupid? Padme died in childbirth because Anakin force chocked her on Mustafar. Remember? I don't think that would have stopped anything. Plus how could that guarantee her safety? She could still die.
0:12 | Revenge of the Sith *IS THE BEST STAR WARS MOVIE EVER MADE!* Better than The Empire Strikes Back! Yup, I said it! 2:21 | It's not plot convenience; Palpatine wanted Obi-Wan and Yoda out of the way, so that he could further corrupt Anakin to the Dark Side. 3:03 | Mace Windu went with only three Jedi because he thought this was going to be like in the history books; A Jedi kills a Sith. Happy Ending, right? Nope! 3:21 | Again, you did that on purpose. Anakin wanted Palpatine to live, so he was trying to convince Windu to not kill him. Mace had every right to kill him, since this is a Sith Lord who manipulated the War from both sides and as a peacekeeper, it's his goal to vanquish evil. Oh, by the way, Palpatine threw the fight on purpose, because how else wouldn't he say that line *UNLIMITED POWER!!!!* 3:54 | You could argue that another reason Anakin was joining him was because he's afraid. Afraid of the person who was a mentor to him, to suddenly revealing himself as a power-hungry, mass-murdering monster. 4:21 | Grievous is a strong, yet cowardly villain. Different from Maul and Dooku. All three are meant to represent many aspects for Anakin becoming Vader. 4:46 | The fight is prolonged because they're cut together to be that long. Obi-Wan vs Vader, over 6 minutes. Yoda vs Sidious, over 4 minutes. 5:07 | Another reason why Bail Organa and his wife adopted Leia is because they possibly don't have the ability to produce children. It's a very common thing with many couples. Also, knowing that Jimmy Smith is half-Puerto Rican means Leia is an adopted Puerto Rican! *WEPA!* 5:40 | Chewbacca is like an apprentice to Tarfful, the General of the Wookiee army. So, watching the Battle of Kashyyyk gave Chewie a whole new perspective. 5:55 | To Peter Mayhew: Miss you, we will. #OGMayhew 6:02 | Chewie looks like that because he's *YOUNG!* You know what 'Young' means, right? 6:33 | Episodes I & II gave you plenty of reasons why Ani became evil in Ep. III! 9:38 | Yoda's role in Ep. III was that he was meant to be sent away to keep the Jedi Temple vulnerable because had he been there, granted some Jedi would have been killed, but the Purge would still be unsuccessful. He was also meant to see the Jedi Order being destroyed by the Sith Empire. 10:41 | Many of the Jedi were killed before and during the War and many others were in different planets defending it from the Separatists. 10:58 | Palpatine wants unlimited power to restore the Sith Empire to its former glory. 11:41 | The effects of the movie really holds up! th-cam.com/video/VgS3pt0yMvs/w-d-xo.html 15:17 | No, even if they teamed up, Obi-Wan and Yoda would still lose, because of the two Siths: the first one who was painfully trained to perfection by Darth Plagueis and the other one who is the Chosen One, who has the highest Midichlorian count. 15:56 | Yeah, it's called 'continuity', something that the Disney SW films refused to have. 16:41 | Those line are God-tier! They are amazing! #OGLucas 19:01 | Also, another thing: any and every person on this Earth has yelled the word NOOOOOOOOO!!! when a love one is dead and they don't give a f•ck on how they say it. 19:13 | Pretty f-king bad? *Heresy!* 19:39 | #OGLucas is a great director! Certainly better than J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson, since they butchered his Saga! 20:00 | The Prequels did inspired cinematography, as well as the Godfather technology that the MCU is ejaculating in our movie and tv screens, *SO GET ON YOUR F-KING KNEES!*

George Lucas was helped in particular by Carrie Fisher, Jonathan Hales and Tom Stoppard in writing the scripts and dialogues for the Star Wars prequels, with designs by Doug Chiang, John Knoll for visual effects, casting directors, and Frank Darabont and Steven Spielberg for direction. He had just as much help as on the originals. Stop lying to discredit the author of the Star Wars world, because you're making a fool of yourself.
@@ntmaproductions Wrong. Notably Rick McCallum and John Knoll expressed doubts about certain George Lucas ideas, Jonathan Hales even suggesting ways to deepen characters like Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones, Hales also completely rewrote the romance storyline from a storyboard by George Lucas, the actors also made suggestions, Steven Spielberg himself suggesting starting episode 3 with an intense action scene to immediately immerse in the atmosphere of war, McCallum himself suggested reducing Jar Jar's character. George Lucas listened to all the suggestions from his team.
@@obi-wankenobi2188 I don’t expect a prequel fan to know the word masterpiece. They’re just all butthurt and traumatized by the hate these movies received when they came out that they became in such denial of how bad they actually are, especially compared to the Original Trilogy.
The prequels are much better than the original movies. The opening on the world is much bigger, with more planets like Naboo, Coruscant, Mustafar, more dynamic and cooler lightsaber fights, Yoda is doing lightsaber and he is so badass, Obi Wan, Anakin and Padme are the best characters, Darth Maul, the pod race, we learn more about the Siths, the prequels are cool because there are no repeats with the original movies, the actors are great, I can't imagine anyone except Ewan McGregor for Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen for Anakin, and Natalie Portman is much so beautiful, an angel😍 we see the clone wars and the Jedi council, the Senate and the Republic which are the best period of Star Wars and Revenge of the Siths is dark, sad and it made me cry so much it's definitely the best Star Wars movie, Anakin getting burned and Obi-Wan telling him he was his brother and Padme's death it's so sad and every time I see Vader being all alone in the original trilogy, I imagine him thinking about Padme and it gives more relief when he throws the emperor away in Return of the Jedi because it's all his fault, and the Obi-Wan and Anakin fight gives more weight to their reunion in the death star.
@@obi-wankenobi2188 So I’m going to guess that you are an impressionable little child who loved the prequels because of how many toys they were able to sell and because you simp for Natalie Portman. News flash, I do too but that’s not a contributing factor. When will you learn that LESS is MORE? The Original movies (and Sequels especially) had characters who acted like real people and an awesome puppet Yoda who was ACTUALLY FUNNY and wise, not some psychopath with a lightsaber. George Lucas’s Star Wars prequels are a pure masterpiece, a magnificent, exciting, and incredibly rich work that has greatly contributed to the story, universe, characters, lore, and mythology of Star Wars. They are the greatest movies-a thrilling, cult classic trilogy from beginning to end. These are the Star Wars movies George Lucas always intended to make, and they are the best, most complete, and richest of all the Star Wars trilogies. Everything is superb: the deepening of the Star Wars universe and its narrative elements is stunning and engaging. The detailed exploration of the Clone Wars, a pivotal moment in Star Wars history, is fascinating. The period of the Clone Wars is the best era in the Star Wars saga. The gripping storyline develops throughout the films, with the rise of Palpatine (Darth Sidious) portrayed masterfully. His behind-the-scenes machinations to undermine the Galactic Republic and bring the galaxy under his control are meticulously shown. His manipulation to create a massive clone army and wipe out the Jedi with Order 66 is central to the story, explaining how the Galactic Empire came to be after the fall of the Republic and how Anakin turned to the dark side, becoming Darth Vader. Anakin’s fall, driven by his desire to save those he loved, is tragic and profound. His transformation into Darth Vader is a breathtaking, iconic scene. The connection to the original trilogy is seamlessly handled. Anakin’s internal conflict-torn between his loyalty to the Jedi Order and his desire to protect those he loves-makes his story deep and tragic. Key moments such as his confrontation with Count Dooku and his heartbreaking final duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar heighten the drama. The prequels also brought invaluable depth to the Star Wars universe, offering detailed insight into the Jedi Order, the training of Padawans, the Sith, and Jedi teachings. The focus on the Sith and their philosophy strengthened the dark side of the Force, adding layers of depth and complexity to the saga. The political aspect of the prequel trilogy introduces a new dimension to Star Wars, with Palpatine’s machinations in the Galactic Senate and the growing tensions between planetary systems, creating a richer context for the events of the Original Trilogy-the rise of the Empire, the fall of the Republic, the extinction of the Jedi, and the tragic story of Anakin Skywalker. The expansion of the Star Wars universe is also amazing, with new planets, races, creatures, and cultures. The introduction of Dug, Gungans, Toydarians, Kaminoans, the underwater city, the Queen’s palace, the Galactic Senate, the cloning facility, and planets like Naboo and Coruscant-all of which are among the best-help create a larger, more diverse world. Iconic locations such as Kamino, Geonosis, Utapau, Felucia, and Mustafar provide visually captivating settings for action scenes, plot development, and key moments in the story. The trilogy also gave us legendary characters like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padmé Amidala, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, General Grievous, Jango Fett, and more. The action scenes and lightsaber battles are some of the most memorable in the saga. Epic battles such as the Battle of Geonosis, the podrace on Tatooine, the Battle of Naboo, and the Battle over Coruscant are iconic, visually stunning, and filled with emotional stakes, involving characters we’ve grown to love. Lightsaber duels between legendary figures like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, and Yoda are executed with exceptional choreography, adding visceral energy to the story. The duel on Naboo, the clash with Count Dooku, Yoda’s fight with Darth Sidious in the Senate, Darth Maul’s encounter, and the tragic brotherly battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin are unforgettable. These episodes also enriched Star Wars lore with charismatic new characters, unforgettable music like 'Duel of the Fates,' 'Across the Stars,' and 'Battle of the Heroes,' a fascinating and expansive mythology, and a cast of talented actors, including Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Liam Neeson. Natalie Portman is stunning, graceful, and charismatic as Padmé Amidala, queen and senator of Naboo. She brings strength, determination, and courage to her role, evolving from a queen to a senator and eventually into a strong, elegant, and determined woman-a central feature of the trilogy. Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson deliver a classy and memorable presence onscreen, and their dynamic as Jedi Masters is palpable, conveying wisdom and resolve that ground the story in Jedi heritage. Christopher Lee’s presence as Count Dooku adds a touch of class, elegance, and charisma, enhanced by his Shakespearean delivery. The Star Wars prequels were the revival of the Star Wars saga, bringing real dramatic weight, political context, meaningful stakes, new and iconic characters, and thrilling action scenes. They vastly expanded the Star Wars universe, making it more diverse and richly developed, with a lore that perfectly complements the Original Trilogy and is inseparable from it. These Star Wars episodes are masterpieces that form an incredible whole, a single, exceptional galactic epic. It is the story of Anakin Skywalker-from his training as a Jedi to his fall to the dark side, and ultimately his redemption in saving his son, destroying the Sith, and bringing balance to the Force. It’s also the story of the Galactic Empire, once a democratic Republic, and Palpatine’s rise from senator to emperor of the galaxy-his manipulation to secure his authority in the Senate, create his own Empire, destroy the Jedi Order, and keep Anakin as his apprentice. Furthermore, this trilogy marked a major advancement in digital filmmaking, modern technologies, editing, and special effects, allowing the creation of new worlds, incredible world-building, and the extraordinary narrative of the Star Wars prequels. Like Avatar, it is a vast, rich, and unlimited universe that explores new planets, civilizations, technologies, and worlds. This trilogy is the greatest, more far-reaching, more fantastc, in Star Wars, as George Lucas was able to build his universe exactly as he envisioned it. Without the prequels, the Star Wars universe would not be as interesting, vast, developed, or as exciting and rich as it is today. @@legogarythesnail

@@ntmaproductionsAnything more entertaining or emotional than what we got. Even Padme's choke scene was underwhelming betrayal from Anakin.
Also having him slaughtering children is irredeemable. Like he's supposed to be a tragic hero, not a lunatic.

@@ntmaproductionsi love the original trilogy did you review empire strikes back
if you don't think about it everything flies over your head
@@Whoyouwishyouwere Agreed.

Epic battles such as the Battle of Geonosis, the Pod Race on Tatooine, the Battle of Naboo and the Battle Over Coruscant are highly memorable and emblematic of the saga, they are not only visually impressive, superbly well-realized, but they are also emotionally charged, with characters we've grown to love in danger ❤️🔥
Lightsaber duels between iconic characters such as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul and Yoda are executed with exceptional choreography, adding a visceral dimension to the story, the fight on Naboo, the confrontation with Count Dooku, the Senate summit duel between Yoda and Darth Sidious, the fight against Darth Maul and the fratricidal duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin.... 🔥🔥
The prequel also enriches the Star Wars lore with new charismatic and endearing characters, unforgettable music, "Duel of the Fates", "Across the Stars" ", Battle of the Heroes", a super-rich, exciting and very complete lore and a talented cast of actors, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson and Liam Neeson 💖💥😍🔥
Natalie Portman is superb, gorgeous, gentle, sensual and charismatic, lending her character of Padmé Amidala queen and senator of Naboo exemplary strength, determination and courage. She's perfect, she's iconic 🤗🔥💥🥳🥰 Her evolution from a queen to a senator, into a badass, elegant and determined woman, is a central feature of the trilogy 🔥💖💥
Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson bring memorable class and presence to the screen. Their dynamic as Jedi masters is palpable, and they convey a wisdom and determination that anchors the story in Jedi heritage. What's more, Christopher Lee's presence as Count Dooku adds a touch of class, elegance and charisma, amplified by his Shakespearean delivery.
The prequel was the revival of the Star Wars saga, bringing real dramatic scope, real political context, real stakes, new superb and emblematic characters, emblematic action scenes, a much richer universe, a more developed, more diversified universe, and a much more extended universe, it fleshed out the saga's lore, and perfectly complements the original trilogy by being inseparable from it.
The Star Wars prequel is a pure masterpiece and the Star Wars trilogy is a masterpiece, and they form an incredible whole, a single great story of exceptional galactic epic 🔥💥 the story of Anakin Skywalker, from his training as a Jedi to his turning to the dark side of the Force to his redemption as a Jedi by saving his son, destroying the Sith and bringing balance back to the Force, the story of the Galactic Empire, once a democratic Republic, and the story of Palpatine, his evolution from Senator to Chancellor to Emperor of the Galaxy, his manipulations to establish his authority in the Senate, to create his own Galactic Empire, topple the Jedi order and keep Anakin with him as an apprentice 🔥🤗💥 and the technological advance towards digital in order to create new worlds, new stratospheric and extraordinary world building, new peoples and build the extraordinary story of the Star Wars prequel 🤗❤🔥💥🥳
Anakin at the beginning of Episode 3: "we've got to save these 2 random clones."
Palpatine: "If you turn evil, we will learn how to save your wife, who is due in like 10 hours, from dying in childbirth."
Anakin: "I'm gonna murder a dozen children. That's a good trick!"
Palpatine implies he already knows how, and then when he tells Anakin he doesn't know, Anakin doesn't question it at all, or the fact that they're expected to somehow learn this dark side super secret in like a few hours when Padme is due to give birth and die, and so I guess he figured murdering a bunch of other children was a speedrun strat to darkside powers. Like the entire movie is across the span of 4 days.

The prequels are the only movies I know that fundamentally are wrong in every single category, but are defended like their actual masterpieces.
Finally, someone that doesn't deny anything bad about this movie. ROTS isn't bad, but it's not great either. It has all the issues of the prequels.

Anakin: "I'm scared of my wife eventually dying."
Palpatine: "I see.
And prequel fanboys still argue that his transition to Vadar wasn't rushed or handled poorly.

George Lucas's Star Wars prequel trilogy is a pure masterpiece, a wonderful, magnificent, exciting, significant, and extremely rich work that has greatly contributed to the story, universe, characters, lore, and mythology of Star Wars. They are the best, the greatest films of all time, a great cult and exciting trilogy from start to finish. It's the Star Wars as George Lucas always wanted it to be. It's the best Star Wars trilogy, the greatest Star Wars trilogy, the richest, most accomplished, most complete, the best period; everything is superb: the deepening of the Star Wars universe and its narrative elements are superb and exciting, and it explores in detail the period of the Clone Wars, a crucial moment in Star Wars history. A fundamental and exciting turning point. The Clone Wars period is the best period of Star Wars. The fascinating plot that unfolds throughout the films. The rise of Palpatine, Darth Sidious, is masterfully depicted. His behind-the-scenes machinations to undermine the Galactic Republic and bring the galaxy under his control are meticulously presented. His manipulation to form a massive clone army and eradicate the Jedi with Order 66 is a central element of the story, explaining how the Galactic Empire took shape following the fall of the Republic and how Anakin fell to the dark side to become Darth Vader, a fallen hero who just wanted to save those he loved. Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader is a superb, memorable, breathtaking scene. The connection with the original trilogy is very well done. Anakin's internal conflict between his loyalty to the Jedi Order and his desire to save those he loves makes his story deep and tragic. His journey to the dark side, with key moments such as his confrontation with Count Dooku and his heartbreaking final duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar. The prequel trilogy also brought invaluable richness to the Star Wars universe, with a detailed look at the Jedi Order, Padawan training, Sith, combat mastery, and Jedi teachings. The spotlight on the Sith and their philosophy strengthened the dark side of the Force, adding depth and complexity to the saga. The political aspect of the prequel adds a new dimension to the Star Wars universe, with Palpatine's machinations in the Galactic Senate and growing tensions between planetary systems, creating a richer context for the later events of the Original Trilogy, the rise of the Empire, the fall of the Republic, the extinction of the Jedi, and Anakin Skywalker's tragic story. The expansion of the universe is also great. New planets, races, creatures, peoples, and cultures are introduced, contributing to creating a larger and more diverse world. Iconic locations such as Kamino, Geonosis, Utapau, Felucia, and Mustafar provide visually captivating backdrops for action scenes, development, and key plot moments.

Episode III is like Dark Souls 1
First half is very good, the 2nd half is bad and most of the Boss fights are not very well designed.
And you have toxic fans acting like Obi-Wan vs Anakin in RotS is the best saber duel ever made. They all forgot how rightfully clowned on the fight was for the spins and drawn-out scenes.
Anakin vs Ventress on Yavin 4 is in my opinion the best one.
Still better than anything Disney has put out

I completely disagree. The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Solo, The Rise Of Skywalker, and Rogue One are all better than Revenge Of The Sith and especially better than Attack Of The Clones and The Phantom Menace, in my opinion.
@@darthtrip7188 From certain perspectives sure but they lack the imagination of the prequels. The only one's I prefer over the prequels in terms of emotion and writing is The Force Awakens and Solo lol.

@@obi-wankenobi2188 ROTS is a joke

"he didn't get the promotion he wanted so it makes sense he massacred children" gonna be hittin those employer blacklists real soon
@@ntmaproductionsAgain wasn't exactly that. Was a determining a factor but it was more Palpatines manipulation.

Um... Okay? Trying to save padme through old sith folklore instead of calling a f*cking doctor to get her checked out and maybe give her a C section is like summoning Zeus to fix your lights instead of calling an electrician.
Oh, by the way, Palpatine threw the fight on purpose, because how else wouldn't he say that line *UNLIMITED POWER!!!!*
3:54 | You could argue that another reason Anakin was joining him was because he's afraid.
*WEPA!*
5:40 | Chewbacca is like an apprentice to Tarfful, the General of the Wookiee army. So, watching the Battle of Kashyyyk gave Chewie a whole new perspective.
5:55 | To Peter Mayhew: Miss you, we will. #OGMayhew
6:02 | Chewie looks like that because he's *YOUNG!* You know what 'Young' means, right?
11:41 | The effects of the movie really holds up!
th-cam.com/video/VgS3pt0yMvs/w-d-xo.html
15:17 | No, even if they teamed up, Obi-Wan and Yoda would still lose, because of the two Siths: the first one who was painfully trained to perfection by Darth Plagueis and the other one who is the Chosen One, who has the highest Midichlorian count.
15:56 | Yeah, it's called 'continuity', something that the Disney SW films refused to have.
16:41 | Those line are God-tier! They are amazing! #OGLucas
19:01 | Also, another thing: any and every person on this Earth has yelled the word NOOOOOOOOO!!! when a love one is dead and they don't give a f•ck on how they say it.
19:13 | Pretty f-king bad? *Heresy!*
19:39 | #OGLucas is a great director!

The ability to speak does not make you intelligent
star wars fans have been proving that for years
George Lucas was helped in particular by Carrie Fisher, Jonathan Hales and Tom Stoppard in writing the scripts and dialogues for the Star Wars prequels, with designs by Doug Chiang, John Knoll for visual effects, casting directors, and Frank Darabont and Steven Spielberg for direction. He had just as much help as on the originals. Stop lying to discredit the author of the Star Wars world, because you're making a fool of yourself.
They came together to make something subpar. They followed his vision and no one wanted to call his ideas bad
@@ntmaproductions
Wrong.

Nah, The Prequels are Masterpieces
Also James Arnold Taylor and Matt Lanter are BY FAR the best Anakin and Obi-Wan.
@@SDfan2002 no, haters like you can go to hell, the prequels are so much better than the originals, and you're not ready to accept it for pure nostalgia of the original trilogy.
Which franchise sucks more? The legend of zelda? Star wars prequels? Please let me know.

@padmeamidalatruesenator9756 Yeah, no
George Lucas’s Star Wars prequels are a pure masterpiece, a magnificent, exciting, and incredibly rich work that has greatly contributed to the story, universe, characters, lore, and mythology of Star Wars.
