Good review Andy, i bought am Effecto PX-5 Sport recently, i took it to my local range & like you set it up for 40m the very first shot hit the target @ 2 o'clock, so i knew i was actually hitting the target, carried on with the rest of the mag & not one other shot hit the target,or so thought, anyway i retrieved the target & actually all 18 rounds had gone through the same hole, ri actually thought i had missed the target completely, i re-calibrated the scope & again 2nd full mag more or less straight thru the same hole,this is a rifle straight out of the box, didn't clean the barrel just shot it as is, now i also have a FX Dreamline & a Daystate MK4 & even they cant do that, i am super impressed with the Effecto, All the best 👍

I like it a lot but few dealers could mean zero spares in a year or two. Not normally a fan of weird looking guns but this one is clean and functional looking.

Same price bracket as the Walther Reign, and the shrouded barrel looks similar to the Reign Mk1 which I have. If I didn't have the Reign I'd be tempted. Nice looker, but would prefer sidelever on RH side.
Hello Andy, I like the look of the Effecto rifles but the Sentry in the background raises some questions. I have one in .25 and I simply can't find magazines for it. I'm in the U.S. , might you have any idea where spare mags can be for it ?
Great review and a nice gun, Andy! However, , after much research, I recently purchased a Stoeger Bullshark in .22 caliber. Light, at just over 6 lbs., It has "Olympic grade accuracy", is regulated for consistency, and exceeds the manufacturers claims for velocity. I'm getting over 30 fpe with 14.3 grain pellets, and a shot count of around 150. At $479.00 US from Amazon, it is an amazing value ! Did I mention the 2 lb. crisp trigger pull ? I couldn't be happier, but the Iguanas here in the Florid Keys are getting much harder to find. I'd love to see you review this fine PCP bullpup.
Please do a review of the Beeman 1357. A none regulated bullpup PCP with wooden stock and underlever cocking arm. There was a gun shop in Yorkshire selling them for £205 which was crazy cheap, cheaper than even the USA version in the states. I wonder just how much worse than more expensive PCPs they are?. Shot count is poor on them I expect due to no reg, but for hunting that doesn't really matter.
The new rexime. Xia MK2 compact has peaked my interest , if they are accurate and reliable I'll be getting one , I'm watching the opinions on that rifle very closely .

Good review as always Andy. I particularly like the look of the PX-5 sport which has a GRS like stock, has a 58cm barrel and is 110cm overall. Needless to say this model is going out at a little under £1K but if you consider an FX Dreamline in a GRS stock will be about £1400? it seems good value. Not comparing apples to apples perhaps but worth considering.

Hey Andy, Love the Top Gear vibes your giving off in these reviews! I have a concern about this gun! So I was really interested in this model, it has everything I'd be looking for in a new gun. However after some searching on various sites for pricing I discover there aren't many retailers stocking Effecto......but 1 of them states this. We are no longer stocking this item due to quality issues! Ummm......OK now I don't know the full facts here but this is ringing alarm bells.Nobody wants to pull the trigger at £795 to find out this has flaws and the parts are hard to source? Gun looks amazing and seems decent but I don't know now.
I'm not trying to troll, but I wonder if it really is worth discussing hole-in-hole at 40m from from a benchrest? I don't think I've ever really fired an air rifle or rimfire that couldn't do that (if in decent shape), even a couple of decades old springers on a good day. Maybe the accuracy section would benefit from free hand shooting, as it would show from a practical perspective how a given gun's balance and weight affects a particular shooter (which would be the control element of the experiment/review) when compared to another gun? Just my thoughts, and I always enjoy Andy's videos.
TBH yes it is at 50 meter;s with the right pellet it is very good ..regulater is very good ..do i get payed NO..Andy’s Airgun Reviews pay me NO ..I bought 1 and it is good for the price..JSB 18 grain 22 cal ..you never look back.

Here in the UK only criminals have unrestricted access to guns, the government think the rest of the population cannot be trusted to have them, take a look at what is happening in Canada.

Interesting looking rifle if you like tactical AND futuristic? I can just hear Hudson from Aliens shouting "Yo! Stop your grinnin and grab your linen!" as you take it out for some shots downrange. Couple of things that got me about it? 1 - Whilst I loved the idea of interchangeable cheek pieces, as you slid it on after you demo'd being able to remove it, it looked like it slid forwards slightly and encroached on the mag well? Maybe in hindsight a couple of little "stops", one either side of the stock would counteract this problem. 2 - That safety is a weird one in all honesty? Personally, for safety's sake, I'd prefer to have both hands on the rifle when disengaging the safety into fire. That way you won't have any accidental slips with the rifle, an accidental discharge and the potentiality for a pellet to get fired into a thigh, shin, foot etc. I feel that the placement of the safety just increases the possibility of that happening? Also, slight personal bugbear and cringe "eeeeep" factor.... WHEN ARE MANUFACTURERS GOING TO STOP PUTTING THE MANOMENTER AT THE BUSINESS END OF THE RIFLE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It is not safe at all, they have a whole slab side of a rifle to put it into, so WHY make you stare down the barrel?! Edit - I'm really curious as to your upcoming review of that Lee Enfield Sentry in the background? It's one of the rifles I'd got earmarked for my entry back into the world of airgunning.

Hi Ralph, I have both the PX-5 Sport with the GRS type stock & a Dreamline, the Effecto is definitely as good as the Dreamline in my opinion 👍

The stock looks similar to the Stoeger XM1 bullpup.
Some really interesting features, not least the replaceable cheek rests, so you could pad one to your exact preference.
