I have shelf stable packets of mayo and mustard which i got a few months ago and also if i go thru a drive thru orr get take out I get extra condiments which I add to my stockpile and use my current ones for that meal. They are good for road trips or summer picnics. When you want to be able to add them right before eating. In case of a power outage they can be used instead of having to open the fridge

We do the same thing we keep those extra little packets in Ziploc’s in the refrigerator so when we go on a picnic server trips we have them to take a long.

Hi Lynn. When I cook brown rice, I cook a good quantity. I freeze it in medium Ziploc bags. With just my husband and I, I take out a bag when needed. We don't eat a lot of rice, but recently I used the cooked rice and made rice pudding. It was so good!! Thanks for a good video! God Bless!

Remember bacon bits, grated parmesan cheese, concentrated lemon juice, and concentrated lime juice. Also some small jars of coconut oil such as Dollar Tree carries and shredded coconut. Plus various pickle relishes, chow- chow, and chutneys are great additions on the side for dishes from pinto beans to meats. A dried Italian herb seasoning mix is also great for many dishes. Don"t forget cloves and nutmeg also.

Our moms are special to us and now that you have such a short time with her I will pray for clear guidance as you have to make some tough choices and decisions.

My husband loves spice so we have to have these 5 in the cupboard at all times or there will be grumbling 🤣 - jalapeño ketchup, spicy brown mustard, chipotle mayo, Louisiana hot sauce, & Taco Bell mild sauce. We also get a few knock off fast food sauces like arbys horsey sauce & sir kensington Big Mac sauce & Amish apple butter when we can hit the specialty market (that stuff is so good spread on toast. We prefer it to jam or preserves). Only other odd ball condiments I can think of that might be different than other families are stuff due to my legume allergy. Can’t do peanut butter so we keep oat haus granola butter (it’s so good - highly recommend the cookie dough granola butter with marshmallow fluff or their strawberry granola butter with jelly)..Can’t do clover or alfalfa honey (most people don’t know they are legumes) so we have bougie honey like buckwheat, avocado, or orange blossom 👍 Thanks for another great video & sorry for the long winded comment blush ❤️ Appreciate you.

Loved this video, Lynn. I have quite a few of the same items, maybe different brands. I also use dill relish (for tuna, salmon and potato salads, and also for making tartar sauce ) and sweet relish on hot dogs. Another is pure horseradish which I use in most beef recipes and on roast beef sandwiches. I also keep a bottle of grenadine syrup which I use in fruit salad made with with bananas and oranges as it help keep the bananas fresh longer (it's what they use in Shoney's where I live). Thanks for doing this video because you have some things I will try also....the Knorr products and the cheese sauce you mentioned. Have a Blessed day.

@@rharvey2124 you are most welcome. The reason I used the orange juice & grenadine is this salad is the fruit in a sauce of of the juice & grenadine. It is not just a splash so to speak. I do use lemon when I make banana pudding. Hope that clears it up a bit.

Some of the pantry condiments that I keep are Worcestershire sauce, low sodium soy sauce, mojo sauce, powdered ranch dressing mix, Dijon mustard, and balsamic vinegar- just to name a few. @@deborahjones6066 Mojo sauce is used primarily in Spanish, Cuban & Mexican cooking. I’m sure there’s a recipe or two online somewhere. But since I live near Tampa, Florida, our grocery store, Publix sells it by the bottle. The key is to marinate your pork or chicken in it for a day or two and cook it in the sauce.

I'm so happy you did a video on your condiments. I've thoroughly enjoyed your coffee station & spices videos and now, this one! I'm all in when it comes to spices, rubs, marinades, herbs, sauces and condiments...they make all the difference in our foods and drinks. They rock!! I've never heard of the Bistro or the Marmite, so I'm going to get some to try. The ham flavoring you have is super good in beans & bean dishes and any of the green vegetables.
Besides for the condiments you have, I like to have a variety of the Hispanic, Asian, Italian, Mediterranean, Chinese, Filipino & South American etc styles of condiments & sauces. I love variety. I get bored eating the same things over & over and the fastest way to change that up is with spices & condiments, IMO. Perfect example would be Cincinnati chili. It's called a chili, but it's served like a spaghetti sauce BUT with a Greek/ Mederterain twist & it's all because of the spices.
Condiments I keep on hand are, sweet & sour, sweet chili, teriyaki, sweet soy, regular soy, sesame oil, oyster, Worcester, Browning & seasoning, fish sauce, several different vinegars, sherry, pesto, Speedie dressing/marinade, Yoshida's marinade & cooking sauce (one of my favs), horseradish, various mustards, Red & white wines, various mustards, green chili verde, enchilada, various hot sauces, sweet peppers, green chilies, various olives, relishes, a variety of dry soup & spice packets ..etc etc...I keep an extensive spice & condiment cabinet always.
I've been using rice cookers probably since the early '80s and I love them. I learned to cook rice on the stove originally but when my late husband went into the Navy, I was priviledge to make new friends from all over the globe and my Asian friends taught me about the rice cooker...I also learn how to cook dishes that I never had before. So, I'm very thankful & grateful to have had those friendships and experiences. I currently have 2 rice cookers, a small 6 cup and a larger 12 cup. Love my Instant pot too. Had a small 4qt & a large one. One of my grandchildren accidentally knocked my small one off the counter and it broke, so I just have my large one now, but I use it all the time. The small one was good for a side dish, a batch of oatmeal or a few eggs...I miss it but not enough to replace it.
Loved this video Lynn!!! Thanks for posting. :-)

Many international dishes are fast & easy, so I think may work well for you. Chicken Adobo is super fast & easy and you probably have everything you need right in your pantry and fridge/freezer. Chicken, water, white vinegar, sugar, onion, garlic & soy sauce .. over rice. One pot meal. !!
