After a year and 2 months of waiting for a 2022 Fish Pro Trophy I ordered and not receiving one, I cancelled my order. A couple of weeks ago while just out spending the day together, my wife and I walked into a powersports business in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to check it out. Sitting on the showroom floor was a brand new, ready to ride 2022 Sea Doo Fish Pro Trophy. It was like a miracle lucky find. Long story short, we bought it. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I have been playing with the features and controls. One of the first things I did was to test out the pedestal fishing seat. It's pretty neat, except for one thing. I can only speak for my particular Fish Pro when I say this, but the fact is, after I sat on that seat I could not, for the life of me, get the seat off the post. The seat was so firmly on the post that it would not come off. When I attempted to remove the seat off the post like the guy in the video, the entire seat and post assembly pulled out of the mounting hole. The post quite easily pulls out of the deck, which is great, but the seat was not about to come off the post. Fortunately I wasn't on the water but was in my garage. I had to get my rubber hammer and repeatedly tap all around the bottom of the seat until it finally came loose from the post. I'm afraid to try to use it again, and I certainly can't imagine using it out on the water because of how firmly the seat becomes attached to the post after it's been sat on. It's IMPOSSIBLE to pull off the post. Also, the manual says "Insert the post into the mounting hole. Secure using the strap." Secure to what and with what strap? I have no strap, the manual has no illustration showing a strap or how to secure the seat with a strap, and the video shows no securing with any strap.
Don’t buy these things people. You’ll have to spend $2,500 every 200 hours having to buy a new supercharger. The old ones you could rebuild for cheap like $600-$700 now on the 2018 and up they make you buy a whole brand new one which will still fail at around 200 hours possibly even less!
What would be better is if they made the passenger seat removable so you can leave it home and have the space, then make the driver seat adjustable to slide back and fourth and make it telescopic to rise and lower. That way all you would have to do is pull a couple of levers like a car seat to adjust your position and height, no disassembly when you are out on the water. What you did was nice but what if you have bigger waves and you are bouncing up and down two to three feet and your trying to do this? it would be difficult. I want to buy one for fishing and to scuba dive from.
For the kind of money that you paid for these jet skis I think I would feel more comfortable spending $20,000. If it has a bigger motor in it I don’t like the 17 I like to get someplace real quick or outrun some weather for me at some point to have a larger motor.
Bit of a joke that this is not available in the international version of seadoo fish pro trophy, just ordered in Australia only to find out it has no swivel seat... such a dissapointment @sea-doo
I'm in the process of ordering one and I asked the dealer here in New Zealand and they said its an accessory you can order? Just not available when new. However no wiring so no way the gadgets would know if you're hooked up a swivel seat.
Great explanation, simple and direct to the point.

just saw someone with this today... I'd love to get one! hit up all the fishing grounds so easy!
Can't wait until next summer here in Canada!!
I love seadoo hope i could have one
As a bigger guy, I have to ask-
Is there a tested weight limit for the pedestal seat?
I really wish Sea Do had made that available to all Fish Pros and not just 2022 :(
That would be a nice feature on any ski. I’d love that on GTI 170
what a beast of thing
Wonder if there's a weight limit to use it...
Sea doo need to add a trolling motor and a power pole. It would be complete
After being out in the salt water what do you do to flush out the salt to minimize corrosion
i want this sea doo so bad!!!!!😭
So the seat and water pump to the cooler for the Trouphy adds about $3000 over the Sports?
I'm working it👍

That’s it? The seat?
What’s the weight limit of this seat?
Are seadoo engines reliable compared to yamaha engines?
Can you ride with the seat installed? This would save storage space in the front compartment.
The system recoknize that the swevel seat is installed and you can't ride over 18mph
That's inconvenient.
18 mph is still pretty good!!!
Will this fit older models?
No, it will not unfortunately.
👍👍👍
Needs a spot for a Minnkota Trolling motor
seaddos are the best can you have the seat up and be able to tow something behind it and im first yay

Oh dear, thanks for the heads up mate!

I love it, but 3 grand? That's out of control.
Why do a review on something nobody can get for a long time
