Yes you need to know how to solve a Rubik's cube puzzle but you don't have to for magic tricks but if you or spectators mixed up Rubik cube puzzle its good to get it back to solve state again Henry harrius and Steven BRUNDAGE cube 3 Rubik cube puzzle All says it's good to learn to solve a Rubik's cube puzzle in case something happens and you need to get it back to solved cube puzzle again

I personally don't have cube in bottle so I don't know but that is a good question. Let me know if you find out.
