    What I found refreshing about this is that you stressed the importance of work/life balance. Too many barber influencers talk about how you have to be up a 4am and cut hair until 10pm, otherwise you're going to fail. They call it "hustle"but it's really just bad for your mental health, bad for your relationships, and bad for your haircuts.

    Great words of advice. I graduated barber school last October, lockdown here has made it real difficult to work in the UK. But as a mobile barber I put effort in to make the clients life easier. I've even turned up at 11pm purely because the guy worked shifts and couldn't get to a shop. Gotta put the effort in. Great vid as always

    I understand this 💯 I work the front desk at my barbershop and there are barbers that tell me they don’t want to take a walk-in.., when they are sitting on there ass in the break room acting like they have anxiety!!!! This drives me up the wall….I’m about to finish school as a barber in 14 days… and I have learned a lot from being behind the desk first 😆💜 I don’t want to be like what I have seen! Gives me motivation to be better 😍

    Man it’s different for me. I don’t even have the chance to go sit in a shop and wait for walk ins or have a list of appts. WISH I DID! I work a “9-5” 40hrs a week; pays well, but I’m getting fed up with this gig, I wana be my own boss. Started barber school in Aug last year .. So it’s different and difficult for me. Work Am to early afternoon , then straight to barber college where we barley getting any cuts. I’m tryna get cuts in under my belt as much as I can but wit my schedule... man

    • @ItsMarvyMarv
      @ItsMarvyMarv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s what’s holding you back. We like to act like being overly critical of our work is something we should be proud of. It’s not. It stops us from doing the things we know we need to do. It holds us back
