Basic cuts are our bread and butter. Period. The vast majority of consumers get some variation of a basic cut. Skin fades and artistic cuts are cool and all, but if you ONLY service those clients, you’re pigeon holing yourself.

@@alexandereasley6078I’d highly recommend Sport Clips. They almost exclusively cater to men and boys. You won’t get stuck with long women’s cuts there. It’s a great place to get repetition and volume to practice on. And a lot of locations hire barbers and cosmetologists (it depends on the managers’ license types and state laws). After that, spread your wings and see about renting a chair or going to a commission barber shop.

this could have been a 10 min max video if you didn't explain yourself over and over so many times. love the vibe and the work put into it but just remember that you could cut loads of stuff out that really wasn't necessary. Basically you lost me half way through the intro and I had to really power through to get into the video just because of the constant repeating that was happening. like 10 seconds into the intro. "Barbers, you're looking to get into creating a business, this is the video for you. I'll start by cutting a customers hair and then talk you step by step on how i bring this into time management and pricing"
I'm no expert but I really dont care if your client has been coming to you since the beginning. I clicked on the link on how to grow as a business.
Appreciate the feedback! This is an older video, and since then, I’ve learned to eliminate a lot of the fluff. Nowadays, I do my best to get right to the point. And to keep my videos under 10 minutes, so I completely understand where you’re coming from. Thank you again 🙏
