    It's great he forgave his captors, but the US should have never drop those charges. As a US military veteran I feel justice for all those that died due to the "Bird" treatment were slapped in the face by its own government

    It’s poetic how on one side you have Zamperini who embraced peace love and forgiveness and on the other you have Watanabe who continued to embrace evil and hate

    Watanabe was unrepentant and died with a hate filled heart. Watanabe was nothing more than a murderous thug

    God is fair, Watanabe's name will always be seen badly because of his war crimes and there was no apology from the coward before he died.
