“Stupid simple” needs to be on a shirt. I am also elated. “My son has a job, kid is probably already fast since he’s worked on rusty cars most of his youth. You know what, let me make a tool to make him twice as fast.” Paul you and your Mrs’ are examples to follow. God bless.
I'd buy that shirt. And also the "perfect enough" shirt. I actually stole that one for our company anti-manual manual (yea, that one I stole from Musk).
Kudos to Landon for mentioning this to his dad and showing him what he needed…smart kid…already working smarter and not harder, he’ll go places with his dad’s advise!
Love that old lathe!! I had a 1944 Navy Surplus lathe at my trucking company shop and I was amazed how many of these diesel school mechanics could NOT run it nor my old Napco mill machine!!
@RollinRat I got into hauling stuff out of warehouses at the Denver Arsenal. They were taking some of it up to an old Molybdenum mine up in the Rockies and dumping it and burying it.. some was going to an ole missle complex in Nevada for further dismantling.. would backhaul scrap metal out of there going to Plymouth Utah for smeltering.. quite a racket our govt had going there..
I help at a shop as a kid 13 or so they were building THE I.S.S. mockup, scale model. The one in Johnson Space Center. I was in big brother program. They had on simaler one scared the shit out of me. I mostly carried bolts an screws. An swept up. Thanks Michael P. Centinnie. McDonnell Douglas. Maybe. 89' or so SeaBrook T.X
It’s so cool you made a tool for your kid to make his job easier I know he pays attention because he says so in the video it’s just awesome God Bless the family
Great show !! Simple little tools can make jobs way safer for sure ..! I'm looking forward to the off road build and obviously your sons truck in it's finished product ... Michelle gets points for putting up with all the man cave adventures lol she's a good lady Paul ...
I love to see how you are willing to go out at night to help someone out who got stuck just because Matt made a call. You can tell that you are genuinely great people.
Showing someone how to invent a tool is the best kind of knowledge that anyone can pass down. My grandfather was a home / farm inventor in the late 20” and showed me how to design my own tools and now in 2021 I’m still cranking out new tools for my work shop. Mostly for electronics but now and then for my wood workshop. You did good my internet friend!
A true craftsman works smarter not harder. A simple tool to make a frequent repair easier and safer is ingenious. To do it for your son is outstanding. Hats off to you Paul.
I know you love the Taco and the trucks. What you need is a off road rock crawling camper. I suggest you think about a VW camper on a rock crawling truck frame.
Was that a Matt's recovery rope from Matt's offroad recovery? I was expecting to see a popup advertisement for it. I think it's awesome how you guys go out of your way to help each other and help the local community.
Such a simple tool that works so well! I think one of the key signs of a resourceful person is someone that can find easiest/simplest solutions for their problems.
That shock compressor tool is great. That’s teaching Landon to think outside the box. Think for yourself. That’s a great part time job for a young man. He’ll learn all about ATVs …. I thought that Little Jeep was older. 👍
To the son these are the type of interactions with your Dad that create great memories something in later life that you will cherish, just a reality reminder appreciate this because their not here forever , I am soooooooo impressed
Watching your kids help out in the shop and do their own projects reminds me of when I was growing up. My dad had a machine shop in our garage for building motorcycle drag race engines. I have so many great memories of helping my dad growing up. Thanks for sharing your life with the world for us to enjoy.
I really like that you're asking your son "why do you think it's the shocks". This type of teaching is really effective and will benefit him a lot later. To think why, before acting on assumptions.
Love the back yard tools and tricks you do! not gonna lie I've learned a lot from you and have used a few of your tricks! I'm learning to weld which is fun lol keep up the amazing work!!
Wow, another project vehicle coming soon. Make sure you supervise the rebuild Michelle, you're going to make the old Jeepster look good. Thanks for sharing.
Nice little simple but effective tool you made there Paul. I love making time saving jigs. You also used a pretty effective little tip by using a rag to pick up hot metal. Maybe you can share that tip with your buddy Matt.
I have to laugh, Landon gets a job doing maintenance on SxS's and he brings them home to the shop to work on them. That's one smart business owner 😉😁. He gets 2 for 1 & things get fixed right 👍👍 Landon has just learned one of life's best lessons, a little extra work in the beginning, will pay back huge dividends in the future. Great job 👍👍
Saving time and aggravation is truly the mother of invention. Good thinking. Been a fabricator for close to 50 years and still working. Visiting you shop is on my bucket list if I ever retire.
I had a 2014 Jeep Patriot 4x4. Somebody put a white Duck on the door handle. I sold the Jeep, but I kept the Duck. No mane on the Duck except Winter Park, Florida, and a Date. I didn't know about the Duck thing until I saw this video. Very Cool. I love this channel. I bought a 2021 Subaru Outback, and put a huge cargo rack on top. Looking for someone to fab me a bull bar. I can't afford the fancy one made for it. Living on a fixed income makes you scrape the bottom of the piggy jar.
As my father who was one of the America's greatest engineering minds used to say. "Nothing is greater, than an idea that's time, has come." Applies to each and every one of us as individuals in the things we plan to do. Innovation.
Had a '71 Jeepster for several years, all stock, loved that thing, needed a new work truck, too poor to own both. That was thirty plus years ago. I hope it's still running someone around. Orange with a bumblebee stripe. 225 V6.
Before the ad is even done playing I'm gonna go full shenanigan and just ask Paul if he wants a cookie or something. The only thing greater than a person that fix almost anything is a person that can make his own tools
Nice! If I can add it's not a bad idea to put some type of safety mechanism into play that prevents the spring from flying out and hitting someone in the face. I know it's a highly unlikely scenario, but when you bend down to take the keeper off or when putting it back on, you're in a vulnerable position. Something as simple as setting a small piece of plywood on the bed of the press between yourself and the spring would absorb most of the inertia from it's force and keep you safe. Love watching your channel, keep up the great work!
Love your ingenuity and your interaction with your kids you are a great dad and teacher
A great family yall have there. So cool to see father and son working together and Michelle's enthusiasm is genuine.
“Stupid simple” needs to be on a shirt.
I am also elated.

This is exactly how your supposed to raise your kids!! We need more of this!!
That’s awesome ! Giving the kid the tools to make it happen! He’s going to thank you big time one day !!
Kudos to Landon for mentioning this to his dad and showing him what he needed…smart kid…already working smarter and not harder, he’ll go places with his dad’s advise!
More importantly, letting the kid watch him make the tool and explaining why. Custom tools are the difference between making rent and getting evicted.
Love that old lathe!! I had a 1944 Navy Surplus lathe at my trucking company shop and I was amazed how many of these diesel school mechanics could NOT run it nor my old Napco mill machine!!

Easier, and not to mention SAFER!!
Great show !! Simple little tools can make jobs way safer for sure ..! I'm looking forward to the off road build and obviously your sons truck in it's finished product ... Michelle gets points for putting up with all the man cave adventures lol she's a good lady Paul ...
The kid already has more skill and work ethic than most adults I work with!
Thank you for another day in the life of. Your work with Landon is invaluable.
"The oil is supposed to be on the inside." I love the Fab Rats one-liners.
I love to see how you are willing to go out at night to help someone out who got stuck just because Matt made a call. You can tell that you are genuinely great people.

Love the great work ethic everyone in your family shows!
Congrats to land on the new job , cool to see him out turning wrench s like his dad ,
Wow, you brought tears to an old man's eyes. You made my day. Thank you for the wonderful update.
I love that you are having Landon helping you in the shop. I was always out with my dad in the garage when I was a kid.
It is more the other way around in this video, Paul helping out Landon. :-)
Paul at his best as a father and tool builder, man of many talents!!!!!!!!
What a great dad! Helping and teaching your boy! Well done, Sir!
A true craftsman works smarter not harder. A simple tool to make a frequent repair easier and safer is ingenious. To do it for your son is outstanding. Hats off to you Paul.
What a blessing to be able to help people out the way you do, great video. Play through!
Love the old lathe
Good job dad helping your son out. Good job for Lan brushing up on mechanical skills and interacting with the general public.
It's the little things that are the most rewarding! Now tell him you get 5 percent of every shock change!!! 🤣🤣🤣JK
I know you love the Taco and the trucks. What you need is a off road rock crawling camper. I suggest you think about a VW camper on a rock crawling truck frame.
You guys (you and matt) have the coolest relationship yall get to do my dreams and get paid for it! Very happy for you
Paul, I don't think Hobart intended it's welder case to be used as a welding table! Haha
Was that a Matt's recovery rope from Matt's offroad recovery? I was expecting to see a popup advertisement for it. I think it's awesome how you guys go out of your way to help each other and help the local community.
Really cool tool to make the job quicker, easier and most importantly SAFER! Great idea
Great thinking there, Paul. Thanks for the hard work, Michelle.
I changed a Atv shock in ATV park once using the trailer ramp as a pry tool 😁 yeah your tool definitely keep someone from getting killed 🇺🇸
Awesome video guys, thanks for sharing.
To the son these are the type of interactions with your Dad that create great memories something in later life that you will cherish, just a reality reminder appreciate this because their not here forever , I am soooooooo impressed
Way to go dad, keepin' the boy safe - compressing springs = potential disaster!
Thanks for making my Sunday better 🇨🇦
Loved visiting with y’all, see ya next Sunday.😉
Very clever tool design. Well done .
I can't wait till you start fixing that Old Toyota 😁

Very creative on the tool, love watching your videos be blessed 🤗🥰🤗🥰🤗🥰
Love your new tool. That’s the best kind of tool, home made.
Michelle needs the jeepster built for her !!!!!!!!
Agreed!
When I saw that jeepster I got an adrenaline rush. Then you had dibs on it and I was like, oh, crap.
Pink and white would be sweet🤘🤘
I want a "stupid simple" Tee-SHIRT!... so neat to see kids working with family!... thanks 4 video. be kind.
That was really cool that you could create a tool that fast that worked that well. You are very talented.
Love the hood shocks on the Jeepster.
Good to see that some parents still let their kids learn by doing. Give’em a little nudge, let’em learn. Awesome!
Necessity is the mother of invention! Good job, guys!
That Jeepster was beautiful.. I've seen the duck thing.. It actually started in Canada.
Lubricant on drill bits makes them last longer and cuts quicker, lol
I really like that you're asking your son "why do you think it's the shocks". This type of teaching is really effective and will benefit him a lot later. To think why, before acting on assumptions.
Y'all are truly amazing people! Would absolutely love to meet y'all one day!
This is the America that the mainstream media will never feature. You guys are are a great example. Those Jeepsters are awesome..
Thank you soo much. Loved everything about this video. 👍👍👍👍👍
You have to be the coolest father ever🙏🙌🙏
What a lucky kid! Such a awesome Father!
Man I dont think I would want anyone else recovering me but you and your sons and matt and his team
Love the back yard tools and tricks you do! not gonna lie I've learned a lot from you and have used a few of your tricks! I'm learning to weld which is fun lol keep up the amazing work!!
Can't wait to see your son truck done you are great father helping him
You should build the Jeepster for Michelle.
Wow, another project vehicle coming soon. Make sure you supervise the rebuild Michelle, you're going to make the old Jeepster look good. Thanks for sharing.
It's the simple things that make life easier. Safety is always number one priority. Tool worked great.
Love watching how you work. It always makes sense to me
This is for sure my kind of video . All my stuff is ATV and side by side content . Come look 👀
Nice little simple but effective tool you made there Paul. I love making time saving jigs. You also used a pretty effective little tip by using a rag to pick up hot metal. Maybe you can share that tip with your buddy Matt.
i appreciate you sharing time working with sons. my own recollections. mahalo takumeze takumkea
Very clever tool design. 👍👍
Mine used a 1 ton hydraulic bottle jack on it. Made mostly from angle iron bed frame.
I like the Jeep but the guys shirt stole the show - great American! :)
T Rex, "I'm a Jeepster for your love".
Sure nice to see young guys getting the hang of wrenching.
cool tool for replacing shocks. Love what your doing with the Golden Nugget
Awesome sir!!!!
I have to laugh, Landon gets a job doing maintenance on SxS's and he brings them home to the shop to work on them. That's one smart business owner 😉😁. He gets 2 for 1 & things get fixed right 👍👍
Landon has just learned one of life's best lessons, a little extra work in the beginning, will pay back huge dividends in the future.
Great job 👍👍
It helps when the owner is Pauls brother in law and Landon’s uncle. I try to take advantage of Paul as much as I can!!!
Hope you get up and over the subscribers as good a matt ! Your work and family are great all the best!@
Saving time and aggravation is truly the mother of invention. Good thinking. Been a fabricator for close to 50 years and still working. Visiting you shop is on my bucket list if I ever retire.
Well Done
Father of the Year!!!
ingenuity is what built the whole world as we know it, Lego is the gateway to McGuyverism
As the old saying goes, “Necessity is the mother of invention”. Nice shock tool! 👍
I describe my own zeal for efficiency as "ambitiously lazy". 😁
Smart idea. Good thinking

Awesome, that you did find those valves oilers for the spindle bearings.
Maybe give us a short blip on how you came up with the design. The design ROCK!!!!
Looks like lathe got some upgrades?
The Beast is earning its keep!
As my father who was one of the America's greatest engineering minds used to say. "Nothing is greater, than an idea that's time, has come." Applies to each and every one of us as individuals in the things we plan to do. Innovation.
Nice tool you make. Safety First
1000% safe nice and saves time
That jeepster was cool can't find those in Ohio be cool to build one
Had a '71 Jeepster for several years, all stock, loved that thing, needed a new work truck, too poor to own both. That was thirty plus years ago. I hope it's still running someone around. Orange with a bumblebee stripe. 225 V6.
I was waiting for Paul and Land to give the van fella a "So I Made a Call..." T shirt!
That tool is amazing. I've always hated shocks for that very reason, lol.
My family and I was just there this summer at EZE with a group of friends…What an experience it was.
THIS CHANNEL REALLY ROCKS.
Great tool !
Now more time to travel to and from shop !
Matt would just grab the hot parts with his bare hands.....lol
Before the ad is even done playing I'm gonna go full shenanigan and just ask Paul if he wants a cookie or something. The only thing greater than a person that fix almost anything is a person that can make his own tools
that tool is genius! Of course helps knowing how to make it!
Better patent that tool! Nice looking Jeep!
Land landed a cool job…and enjoys it. Way cool!
Such a great idea! you have such a creative mind quite ingenious if I might say so myself! Keep up the great work🤩
