If you have the space and desire to dampen the echo in the room a bit you can add nice large area rug under your desk, around the floor of the room or add a few to your walls that could pass as art in your opinion. Thick curtains on each wall even if you don't have a window on a wall will help too without being intrusive like mattresses. If you keep the colors around the same as the walls then it will help to blend in with the room and not bother the visual aesthetic of your fish tanks as they are now. Of course if you find the room to be too plain and want color that is going to blend into the background plants of the tanks you can do either a dark green, black or even a rich dark red to pop out from the surrounding greens. I personally lean towards a modern blue/green or deep emerald green velvet material around my fish tanks visual area but that is just me.
🦎 I think that the sound is just find echoing or not echoing, so long as you are ok with it, which is all that matters at the end of the day since you have to live there and we don't. 🐟

Chris I’m surprised you didn’t mention one of the biggest benefits of what you’re doing - bucephalandra is over harvested in the wild and growing it locally is something we need to push for in the hobby so that our sources are sustainable! Personally I’d pay a premium for buce I could be guaranteed was grown in Canada.
Also, depending on the size of the plastic totes you got you can use them for budget grow out tubs for fry! All you need is an air pump, a sponge filter and a light (which in itself is optional). I’m using this set up now to breed white cloud minnows.

FTR on Tamagos tank: overall nice looks, you got real plants, nice looking substrate and wisely understocked. The planters don’t look that good, maybe consider replacing them with a more natural looking moss-covered coconut shell or something of the likes. You got Ohko stone which is always a plus, but need to work more on the hardscape. 4.3/5. Keep up the good work!

Judging by the size of your table where you want to put a new tank, tetras might be a bit of a no no, sword tails? Nah they also probably need a lot of space cause they like to move a LOT. How about a corydora or kuhli loach tank with a centerpiece fishes like a single moonlight or pearl or honey gourami or a paradise fish? A tiger lotus would also be nice as a centerpiece plant. Also another suggestion, a shrimp tank with a few fishes

Given time she will be eating out of your fingers and chasing your hand around the tank when you clean it. My first two took about two months before they started really coming out of hiding, now they rarely hide at all. I got some extra alternanthera reineckii roseafolia/scarlet temple so I just stuck it in an glass jar used for honey. All the leaves dried up and withered and I just left it be, expecting it to melt and die. A week or two later one of the stems grew some immersed leaves! A deep, dark red I’d never be able to get in my fish tank, because it has access to all the sun and CO2 it could need. No fertilizer either. I think it would look really good in a vase, I’ve always hated putting flowers in vases because I’d have to watch them slowly wither away. This has pretty colors you don’t get with pothos, can pretty much be neglected except to top up on water, and won’t wither away and die. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who has some extra AR cuttings.

I have some hygrophilla, ludwigia, and java fern growing in a leca only setup. Its leca only just to minimize unwanted pests and extra mess with dirt. Works great as well!

When I got the filter on I've got a sponge in the filter because I've got betas in there I don't know if I'm adding enough fertilizer I know the lights are on 6 to 8 hours a day but maybe my lights aren't powerful enough I've only have like a LED little clip on and it's small I like doesn't go across the whole Glass room tank
I haven't quite had a chance to switch out my lights and get some better ones it's just what I was able to purchase cuz I could afford it at the time.
My tanks aren't ghetto they just need better lights but I am raising my godson at the moment so the fish frames going to have to hold on for I've known maybe 13 years.
He's five so hopefully you know when that's done then I think I'll go back to my fish room / fish store

That algae means ur water is good. Amonia 0, nitrite 0 n low on nitrate as well. The light is fine too abit bright but due to the wood having its own nutrients in it so the algae grow like that.

Chirs, i have a heavily planted 2 gallon tank with nothing in it and no filter (never was going to put any live animals in it) and now I noticed tiny bladder snail hatchlings and mtr snail hatchlings in it. Do you think with all the plants they should be ok?
If you dont want to reply that is perfectly fine.

Specifically with the anubias, how long does it take to get growth? I want to do this with some of my more rare varients to sell off for profit, but timing makes a big difference for me. Essentially I want to grow it, split it, grow the 2, split those, repeat.

Im trying to grow algea for months but it just doesnt want to get on top of my rockscape. My dream would be if i could get the type you have on top of my rock scape.
Also yes emersed grow is cool. I emerse grow dwarf hair grass as i dont want to spend too much money just to fill that tank
