It was by huge huge huge coincidence that I a class 8 boy happened to pick up The English Teacher from my school library in the library period, we used to have once a week.
With tears reading the story, English teacher led to Bachelor of Arts, that lead to The Financial Expert to Mr Sampath Printer of Malgudi.
I am thankful to my school for having these amazing books in the library.
And no word is enough for R K Narayan sir. He is immortal. I wish he had a happy family.

I read The English Teacher and The Dark Room and had tears in my eyes .
The Dark Room was a true feminist book while The English Teacher cherished the simplicity and happiness of married life .
I have also read his novel The Guide and it is way more beautiful than the movie .
I have also read his other works like The Bachelor of Arts , Malgudi Days , etc.
R K Narayan Ji is my favourite author .

I am reading swami and friends and his choice of words, and art of storytelling is unique- also i think this is how English language should be written and each sentence is not common. you can experience swami there.

I don't think Narayan was simple; especially in the work he produced after his wife's death.
