Superb footage as always. Sir Archibald sounds crisp and sharp, and not a leaky valve or rivet anywhere to be seen! Indeed a credit to all of those involved in the restoration. Thank you for posting this video 😀
Remember seeing her way back in the eighties parked down the end at SP after rescue and again last August before final artwork. Now she looks absolutely stunning. Full marks to the dedicated team on a fantastic job. Thanks Matthew👍👍👍
Lovely to see history in motion, excellent videography and to finish on a true English icon the Majestic Oak brought a lump to my throat. I at 53yrs have done my bit, small as it is, by planting and tending for a Majestic Oak in my garden, whilst in my shed Lego trains do run. We are but custodians of this world and all we build so let it be said a persons worth is not measured in their lifetime but by the good legacy we leave on history.
Nice to see a Bulleid pulling a rake of Bulleid coaches, something sadly lacking at Swanage, which I hope they will rectify if a Strictly Bulleid 3 event ever takes place. As for the paint work on SAS that is very good but not as good the paintwork on recommissioned Clan Line, that has to be seen to be believed.
The first two coaches were Bulleids, the others in the rake were mkI's. Swanage's two require work so are out of traffic, a Bulleid and Maunsell rake would be really good.
Swanage has 4 bulleid coaches, Bulleid Semi-open Brake Third S4365S Bulleid Composite Corridor S5761S & Bulleid Semi-open Brake Third S4366S I'm guessing that they could build a restaurant kitchen third, as they could loan S1456S (Bulleid Restaurant Third Open) & an open third, then you'd have a Bournemouth line set.

Another excellent video. Another loco I have never seen. Another preserved line I have never been to.

Will 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair be mainline certified?
I’m more so surprised about the 7 carriages with the bullied than anything else.
