You can pronounce the Chinese Spring rolls as Pop-Pia. In Malaysia, there are various varieties of this particular street food. The original Chinese ones are usually stewed turnip slices and other condiments like eggs, lard and bean sprouts wrapped in a fresh and soft spring roll skin and served with some sweet sauce and chilli sauce on the inside. Whereas the Malay version, they tend to deep fry them and coat them in sweet chilli sauce. 😊

Hope that you guys have had a wonderful time with the street food exploration at the longest open night market near KL. What was your favorite food from the market.

@@Yasin_Affandi Thank you, we had such a great time! And our favourite food? I think it would have to be the soufflé pancake because it was so unexpectedly good! Some of the dumplings were also really delicious! 😋

nice but strange to not deseed that battered jackfruit although the seeds are edible (we boil and peel that outer shell) and cook that as a vegetable dish with coconut milk chillies..now this is my kind of eating experience streer food! by the end or 2km you must have burned the calories you ate along the way...interesting though my idea of Malaysian style was " Makan" or food court like in SG..these ones very " Thailand" style nowI I am missing Thailand again just like you guys miss it.. Malaysian-Chinese food is very familiar with me being a Hokkien-Filipino ..though I think some are cantonese style and some are Hokkien Style... enjoy your KL adventure!

@@allancristophe6810 Right! I’ve eaten jackfruit seeds roasted, so I wondered if it could have been eaten? We didn’t try! 😅
We learnt so much about Malaysian food on this trip, too! And there’s so much more to discover, we’re sure.
Thank you for watching as always and for your comment! 🤗

That's not a fried jackfruit, it's cempedak. Same genus though. Jack fruit got firmer flesh, less odor. Cempedak have very distinguished smell.
In Malaysia, most of the time jackfruit are eaten raw, while cempedak are best fried.
