Dropping Brannstrom down could be a way of accruing salary cap. Also Brannstrom has cleared waivers already, and hasnt played 10 games so he wont have to clear them again i believe.
I thought Brannstrom made had a stabilizing influence on the 3rd pairing and it showed up with possession time. I know they have Forbert $ to justify but having a reliable 3rd line can yield more productive results both ends. Forbert will have to produce if he can answer the bell
Need to see a lot more Brannstrom for sure. If he can solve some of the concerns of the Defense and contribute offensively, this is a big deal for the Canucks. And if he won't work out, then let's find out for sure after 20 games
Peterson really needs to step up from last year. He was vacant. But this year Miller has not really stepped up to complete passes or plays. They all need to step up and create plays.
In theory it sounds good but petey doesn't seem to move as much anymore. Guy needs to get himself set for one timers or quick passing plays but he just tries to battle on the boards and not play to his strength. I wish we could have the rookie version again but I doubt it he will ever get back to that level of confidence and creativity.
Hearing the Brannstrom and Bains moves are just on paper as a way to accrue salary cap. Smart move. But also heard that Forbort might be ready to come back. Brannstrom is waiver exempt until he plays 10 games or until he's with the team for 30 days, so they'll have to manage him a bit, and it'll be interesting to see what they plan to do with him moving forward.
Garland and Joshua got into it at training camp last year and look what the end result! Top line in the game.

Canucks just putting the carrot in front of the young guns, to see how they react professionally, and if they will up their game in Abbotford.
They did it to save salary cap. They will recall Saturday before the game.

I’m not a big fan of Forbort
Things like this happen all the time in practice. Haven't you guys ever played a contact sport before? Don't exaggerate its significance.
