The cross bar of the H in the aiming circle bisects (is aligned with) the obstacle-free flight corridor. Which as you might expect is typically abeam the ship. See for instance the requirements in the PYC 5th ed A2, s4.11. Some yachts do not follow this rule, the examples I've seen e.g. M/Y Samar have been built to the MCA LYC. For this vessel that’s the rule. You are talking about something completely different. This vessel is governed by the flag state, and wherever it has the same rules.
That's a fast boat for she size and what a range. Would you consider doing a video to give us some insight in the culture of the super yachts in the big marinas such as Monaco, Cannes, Genoa etc. as to why they sandwich into such tight berths where there are fender to fender. No privacy, on top of each other looking at the hulls for the yachts to either sides. I don't know what the daily fee is but it's a small fortune if the €15,000 for securing the bow lines you told us about..... Why do such wealthy people want to be stuck in such cramped conditions for so long.... Many of the yachts never seem to move (30-60m kind of sizes). Many rarely have the "Boss" on. The part I's love to understand is, why don't the keep the yachts in a smaller marina near buy or in a quite part of the marina with not in use. But also why the owner wants to be on the yacht for a week or so with his neighbors looking into every part of his boat. If to were me, I'd anchor just outside the marina and come and go on a my own tender or if it was too small for comfort, use the services a local tender. But what would I know! I know you will understand all the dynamic around the above. I'm sure prestige is a part of it but it would be great if you could give us some insight in a future. Regards and thanks.
You kind of answered your own question when you mentioned 30-60 meter yachts. Yachts over 100 meters have 60(+) feet beams so it would be really tight fit so typically the largest yachts sometimes go to the cruise ports if they're available. Some super yacht marinas have berths over 200 meters and there's nothing is next to them.
