My wife and I went to Antigua for our 10 year Anniversary in April which happened to be during Antigua Sailing Week. We stayed at the Pineapple House on Falmouth Harbour but we regularly went to English Harbour. It just so happened we were eating at this little Italian place called Incanto for lunch when S/Y Adix came into dock. It's the largest sailing yacht we've ever seen by a long shot and absolutely gorgeous. Definitely made for some great pictures!
Being a little younger and not from the USA, you probably don't know the name KAOS was used in the TV show Get Smart. CONTROL was the good guys KAOS was the bad guys. She would be the age where she knows about the TV show, and if so, she is one of the bad guys!
Kaos is my favourite looking super yacht she is Stunning. Regarding vandalism. With her Finances all she would have to do is put put 2 Security Guards by the palisade. Really enjoy looking at my Dreams in your videos.

Friendly crew, magnificent boat, their plans changing from week-to-week, but never heard a hint who she belonged to (crew generally don’t ask). The stateside story was that trading up to Chaos was her husbands thing though. What I do remember was wondering about Secret’s range - must be impressive since, once they departed, the plan was to maintain the latitude of roughly Auckland and then run north up the west coast of South America. I’m guessing the plan was to see Patagonia before heading north, but that southern leg, say to Valparaiso, is a damn long way. Just my opinion, but I think she was better off with Secret and that program. Certainly there was more discretion.

Then sold to the Australian media tycoon Alan Bond who also owned the Castle main brewery and he changed the name to Schooner XXXX, after the piss awful beer he brewed. For the last 25 years or so she has sailed under the name of Adix, apparently it is pronounced 'Addeesh'.
I was led to believe, although unconfirmed, that there used to be a famous Pablo Picasso painting on board 'Adix'. This work of art, being a Spanish national treasure and described as an “historical heritage asset of exceptional importance”, caused the owner to face legal difficulties with the authorities because the yacht was sailing all over the world with the painting apparently on board. Given a choice, I understand that the owner retained the yacht, presumably because it is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye compared to the Picasso painting.
You deffo need to learn about sailing Yachts ..The lines of some sailing yachts are stunning . With the costs of fuel and the way power yachts guzzel fuel ...They are not seen as eco frienfly... it might be worth trying to set a new trend with the very rich.

The problem with the engine powered only Superyachts they all basically look the same with loads of windows and like floating yogurt pots that use enormous amount of dirty fuel! unlike a proper sailing yacht. I am going to go out on a limb here and say no. The Captain, first mate and bosun need to have some experience, but the other crew members, apart from the chef/cook and engineer, don’t. Most of the crews on sailing yachts as opposed to motor/super yachts that I have met, are in the industry just because they love sailing and most have grown up sailing from small dinghies upwards. They are a breed apart from your typical (if there is one) super yacht crew member, who is basically in it for the money.
People like a heiress to a giant fortune have no idea about the real world; they're living in their own cloud of beautiful. FYI, that sailing yacht is called a "ketch".

That is what insurance is for. The protesters made their mark and you are remaking it for them. This is a great place to protest. The damage is inconsequential for the protesters. Being arrested is a badge of honor. I don't think I could find a group I could care less about than the Walmart family. The damage the company has done is immeasurable and this generation of the family have lived off the wealth built by Sam. The wealth of having a yacht for a few years, extending it, them buying this massive unit and having it refit is such a tough place to be. How much money has she spent on these two vessels? Oh, then think of how few days in a year she actually is on board.
What would it matter and why would it hurt your feelings? It's going as a business expense for the owner or will be covered by insurance (depending on coverage) and then hopefully the scumbags who actually did it will have to pay.
As beautiful these yachts are and as good one feels being in contact with people so rich and powerful, the owners of these big ships consume too much of our earth. They need to live more modest.

I do not approve of or support vandalism. Attacking a super yacht is a cheap stunt, like attacking someone wearing a fur coat. Because the yacht and the fur are read as ostentatious symbols of wealth, they are easy targets and seem to attract minimal sympathy. I don't feel sympathetic to a walmart heir either, I must admit. Is it difficult for a sailing yacht of that magnitude to find experienced crew members?
I am going to go out on a limb here and say no. The Captain, first mate and bosun need to have some experience, but the other crew members, apart from the chef/cook and engineer, don’t. Most of the crews on sailing yachts as opposed to motor/super yachts that I have met, are in the industry just because they love sailing and most have grown up sailing from small dinghies upwards. They are a breed apart from your typical (if there is one) super yacht crew member, who is basically in it for the money.

That is what insurance is for. The protesters made their mark and you are remaking it for them. This is a great place to protest. The damage is inconsequential for the protesters. Being arrested is a badge of honor. I don't think I could find a group I could care less about than the Walmart family. The damage the company has done is immeasurable and this generation of the family have lived off the wealth built by Sam. The wealth of having a yacht for a few years, extending it, them buying this massive unit and having it refit is such a tough place to be. How much money has she spent on these two vessels? Oh, then think of how few days in a year she actually is on board.

What would it matter and why would it hurt your feelings? It's going as a business expense for the owner or will be covered by insurance (depending on coverage) and then hopefully the scumbags who actually did it will have to pay.
As beautiful these yachts are and as good one feels being in contact with people so rich and powerful, the owners of these big ships consume too much of our earth. They need to live more modest.
