I'm ready to embrace iDrive8 but I know there are things about iDrive7 I like, just like when I embraced iDrive7 even though there were things about iDrive6 I like too.
Modified B58? How many different versions are there? Is this a detuned B58 high output version? They have the mid power. 335 hp the high power 385 Hp the Toyota version of same output now this. I am so confused 😕
Thank you for watching! Since this utilizes the 48V Mild Hybrid and it is not the M Performance B58 found in M240i/M340i,M440i,X3/X4 M40i as it produces 375hp and 383 lb-ft or 398 lb-ft with the electric boost in SPRINT mode.
@@TheLazyCarrot That means you have the B58 with 335 hp 331 lb-ft, the 48V mild hybrid in your vehicle is there to mitigate the automatic engine start/stop function.

I didnt like the new exterior at first but it looks striking here especially in this color. On the other hand interior seems like a downgrade. Dual screen display looks like an afterthought slap on. New ambient lighting just looks bad
See the iDrive 8 display in person, its pretty impressive, the only difference in ambient lighting is the is really only the interaction light bar on the dash.
Having worked at a Bmw dealership and knowing fully well how expensive they are. I don’t agree with the low hp/ torque on most of the vehicles. Most of them are lacking more horsepower and torque. That x7 is over $100,000 so for that it should have at least 495 hp and at least 450 ft lbs of torque. Especially for those using the towing capabilities.

That is the beauty of BMW's product line up, you choose which series you want, then you have the option for less power, or more power, then you have the option to dress up your lower power BMW to look like a more powerful one, or you can have the look and the power. You're speaking from your own perspective where performance is important to you, if we had 495 hp in the base model and 523 in the M60i model, what's the point? We need a lower power offering to achieve the fuel economy that is not easily achieved in the V8. BMW knows exactly what they are doing, there are choices because not everyone has the same needs and wants as you or I do. Thank you for your comment!

Now there are unlimited "shortcut" buttons in a drop down menu in the iDrive8 screen

In the US you can’t get the carbon fiber trim on the i40. Boo!!! The i60 is too powerful for my needs but I love that trim.
What you know though is the trim exists, so for the right money you could swap lol
