    My favorite fight scene is Johnny fighting the cobra Kai sensei group and realising he can’t win with karate so he just starts throwing people around like it’s a bar fight powered by whiskey and white claws

    I'm still wondering how Terry Silver is as dangerous as he is, able to hire instructors that are probably assassins, and still ends up running a discount mcdojo for troubled teens. This guys tunnel vision is his on another level.

    One thing that kinda bothers me in those fight scenes,especially in setups like the first one on this video is the fact that they always just go at full intensity from the first blow. They don't try to find the distance,they don't work the jab,nor the angles and kinda take turns,instead of being more active while being on the defensive side. It'd be nice to see a check hook or a pivot here and there

      @@ruslanshavkatov466 To be fair, his a bit dense and more focused on being “cool” than even being a slightly decent fighter, he does it more to be social with strong people. His got potential but it’s gonna take a miracle to get him to learn.

    • @Colinlingle
      @Colinlingle 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ruslanshavkatov466 If I had to guess it's one of two things. A) Tunnel vision. He wrestles as a sport, so since he's not actively competing in a wrestling match, he doesn't think to use it or doesn't think it will work (happened to a friend of mine I used to spar with in high school. He was a wrestler but wouldn't use wrestling in sparring we pointed out to him that wrestling is okay). Or 2) he got his ass beat by Johnny, then Miguel, so he might have some kind of mental block that if he tries to bust out wrestling he will lose again, even though he now has the striking training to back it up.

      I'm 38 and took up Tang Soo Do recently. It was hard for me at first, but my sensei took that into account with the strength training. Took it easy on me...at first. Once he saw I was improving, he started to ramp it up and expected a lot more from me. Now, I feel a lot stronger and am getting better at the push ups (my greatest weakness) and improving at executing the forms and one steps.
      I'd say find a legit martial arts studio and keep at it. Just as long as you're not expecting to be as flexible as the younger students (and a legit sensei will know that), but you'll still see an improvement overall for your body.

    I have a conspiracy theory about this show, but I have nobody in my life that's nerdy enough to care about it. A few seasons ago, Robbie attacks Jonny in a fit of rage. Jonny barely even acknowledges he's being attacked. Hardly needs to block or dodge. Yet, Robbie is one of the strongest of the teenage fighters. Also, it's not unusual for one of these otherwise unathletic teenagers to take karate classes for like a month and somehow become amazing, even making it to the finals in the All Valley.
    Here's my theory. The audience isn't watching the fights as they actually happen. We're watching what the fighters envision is going on in their mind. In their mind, these teenage white belts think they are amazing, but in real life, they're just spazzing out on each other. We've all been there. We thought we were pulling off some crazy move and then watched a video clip and it looked lame. I think this also explains why these fighters are able to take legit kicks to the face and shake it off like nothing happened.
    Now, I can't help but watch this show thinking that it's all just the day dream of some Minecraft and D&D dorks, so in reality, the epic dojo storm was a bunch of white belts spazzing out for 30 minutes until the grown-ups stopped them.
    Thanks for letting me share my conspiracy theory!
