  • Watch me scratch build a ruined bridge from XPS foam for my Dungeons and Dragons tabletop game! I use foam, craft paint, hot glue, and flocking to make this two piece terrain. The broken bridge can be moved apart to make jumping across easy, difficult, or nearly impossible! Ravenstead is now on Patreon! Become a Hero of Ravenstead! / ravenstead

    Watching the clip and I just realized your voice is quite calming. You’re like the Bob Ross of terrain building. This is meant as a complement. Hope you take it that way.

    So I just recently found your channel and have watched a dozen or so of your videos in the last couple of days and not only is your work great, it's incredibly relaxing watching your content. Reminds me of Bob Ross, how relaxed he was and how he talked about mistakes was so similar. It's wild that you dont have more subscribers, hope more people catch on to your channel quickly

      Thank you for watching! I really love this hobby and the community. I feel anyone can get started building great terrain with a few simple materials and techniques. Once I started not trying to be perfect the craft really opened up to me. Bob Ross is my spirit animal!

    Love your work. keep it up! Just a quick question as I want to try and make some terrain myself pretty soon. What is exactly meant by dry brushing? just the fact you don't wet your brush before you grab some paint or?

    • @ravenstead
      @ravenstead  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching! Dry brushing is using a clean dry brush, dipping it in paint, then scrubbing most of the paint off on a paper towel. Then making very light brush strokes to apply what looks like a misty effect. You can always add more so sneak up on it! Check out some videos on "Slap-Chop" miniature painting techniques.

    I want to know about the little grey monster in the corner.

      Congratulations on being the first to comment on that! My wife crocheted that for me. Their name is Graylee, a Pathfinder RPG inspired goblin. Thanks for watching!
