      Yep, a tool kit came with my Pan Am. My usb-c port/plug certainly charges my phone, your port doesn't? I've never plugged anything in under the seat.

      @@Chase_N ok Ya not meant for phone charging maybe double check when bike is running... I didn't get that tool kit damm there are 2 leads under the seat for accessories. Terrible design with everyone looking to have charging ports up front :(

    • @Chase_N
      @Chase_N  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kmern6979 It does work as a charging port for sure but only when the bike is on or running, or at least it should. I've heard of others having issues too though. I did myself after a being caught in a heavy rain. Some contact cleaner sprayed into the port and the usb-c cable ends (I waited for 2 days for it all to dry out before I reconnected everything) got it up and running again.
      I also use contact cleaner on my handlebar switches every so often to keep them functional. I wait a few days for everything to dry out of course before using my PA.
      I never looked under the seat at the connectors, I'd only use them for a heated seat or clothing anyway. You're right about nobody wanting charging ports under the seat. Near the display/TFT and or handlebars has been the preferred placement for quite some time.
      Again, thank you for watching!

    This is a nice set of little known features presented in a short and sweet style. NICE JOB. The reviews that take you through all the possible feature selections can be lengthy and " mind boggling." Have you experienced any unexplained or unresolved code indications since you initially got everything settled with your dealer? This is the one issue that deters me from making a play for a PAS....

    • @Chase_N
      @Chase_N  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had a loose battery cable a few weeks back that threw a code but the dealer fixed it. They also loaded a new ECM & a new BCM updates just because they were available. Really, since my initial problems, the PAS has been relatively trouble free, but mine is a 2021. I've heard the late 2022 & newer Pan Ams have almost all the bugs worked out from the get go.
      I don't know if I've said it before but you'll mostly only hear about bad experiences when it comes to any bike. I remember when the Milwaukee-Eights came out & all you heard about was engine failures due to faulty oil pumps. My previous bike, a 2017 (1st year M8) Road King, never had an engine problem. It ran great & was approaching 20K miles when I traded it in. It's just the way things are, the squeaky wheels get the grease. I just document everything because I'm weird but if you haven't noticed, I really like the Pan Am. More than any bike I've ever owned.
      I mean there's a YTber that's had oil leak issues on his 21 Honda Rebel 1100 (an established, well documented to be reliable engine that came out of the Africa Twin), it doesn't mean it's a bad bike or engine though. It just comes down to the luck of the draw. Some guys have all the luck, good and bad. Stay stubborn and thank you for watching & commenting!

      They fixed all the issues with updates in the 21-23 models, the 2024 models got a huge upgrade with higher output stators and batteries with more CCAs (225 is up to 315) and Amp hours (12 is up to 17). The 2024 models are great but even the used 21-23 models are worth it if you can find a deal and get the extended warranty. If anything breaks they replace it. Sold my lowrider st an looking for more power for wheelies an hooning on the roads

    • @Chase_N
      @Chase_N  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Turn the traction control off and the Pan Am will wheelie all day. 140 is as fast as I've had it, and there are forum guys who've had it faster with a tuner. The Pan Am corners and does twisties better than any other H-D too. The fact that you can do dirt & gravel adds another level of fun too.
      Still, the LRST would be hard for me to get rid of. I've ridden the LRS, a fairing + bags would only make it better. Kind of a hero bike, but if I had to pick, it's still my Pan Am. It just does everything I need really well. Just remember when you take a Pan Am for a test ride, the power really comes on around 4K RPM, and then it's a rush to 9K. Thank you for watching and good luck on your search!

    • @donnellans
      @donnellans ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not headlight aiming. There’s a bank of lights that illuminate based on your lean angle as you enter corners.
      Different set of lights than the headlight.

    are you sure that this USB outlet works to charge the phone?

    • @Chase_N
      @Chase_N  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's requires a USB-C to USB-C wire for my phone & charges my Samsung Galaxy S21 while I ride. It has worked every time I've used it. I'd assume it will charge anything as long as it has the proper USB-C male plug on one end to fit into the port/outlet.

    Hear is the latest Pan America news.
    From a very reliable source at my hometown dealership.
    Coming sometime in 2024
    A CVO Pan America.
    Stay tuned

    • @Chase_N
      @Chase_N  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      CVO Pan Am? I thought for sure a 975 "middleweight" was H-D's next move. If they upped the displacement (CIs/CCs) to something around 1500cc/91CI it'd be quite interesting. Yeah, CVOs have beautiful paint, but it's the bigger engine that's always the main draw. On the other hand, the PA is crazy fast already. I'm not sure an extra 30Hp & 20Tq would make much of a difference? You can only put so much down to the ground, and off-road it's even less helpful sometimes.
      Still, if they do go the CVO route, I'll certainly be checking it out. But sheesh, a CVO PA will likely run at least $30K or more. I'd be terrified of scratching that beautiful paint by running it through gravel & dirt.

    • @paulwojnar2291
      @paulwojnar2291 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Chase_N
      You are probably very close to what the CVO PA would be .
      I think that 975 is a dead horse for now.
      HD sells far more PA Specials over the Standard model PA.
      That may be why they havent gone ahead with the 975.
      As far top speed goes the current 1250 engine stops at 141MPH by the software program.
      There is more engine there so perhaps it may not need more displacement but just a less restrictive program for a CVO model.
      That being said they usually offer more displacement on CVO models.
      Will be interesting.
      I for one am very satified with my Special.
      Will probably be in for an upgrade to a 2025 model .
      Depends on many miles are on the 2022 by then. Anyway thats what I hear from a senior manager.

      I'm almost a year in and the Villian2Hero side cases have been great. No leaks (though I did use rubber washers to ensure that very thing couldn't happen) and enough storage for a day or 2 trip. Drop tested too (they got a scuff but didn't move or bend) and they actually made the Pan Am easier to pic up due to a slightly better angle. I have to say if given a choice, I'd buy them again.

    Hidden features on a Harley.
    Oil leak catch pan
    Tow hooks
    Free dealership parking
    Free 5 gallon bucket, for parts that fall off
    One large bottle of anti depressants, these come in play when the engine blows up and a replacement is a year out and it only has 600 miles on it.
    Lawyers fees for one’s attempt to strangle the dealer are not covered.
    What a POs. I wanted one them,did just a little research,,,,absolutely no way.
    Harley could do a better job but they just don’t care.
    A 1290 will smoke it and last forever.

      Strange, I've never needed any of those things after owning 5 Harleys? You're talking KTM's 1290 ADV? With a bigger engine, it should be faster. lol, let's be honest though, KTM isn't known for reliability either. In fact, they may have an even worse reputation.
      I'm not a guy who hates any manufacturer. But hey, since we're on KTM, forums seem to suggest their not known for being oil tight either. Let's not forget $550-$1000+ valve service intervals every 18K miles because they can't figure out hydraulically adjusted valves like "dumb ol' Harley" can. Or maybe we should talk about the oil and coolant leaks leaks on the Africa Twin? Or oil leaks out of improperly sealed cases on Multistradas? Oh, I did research too before I settled on a Pan Am. There's a reason I suggest everyone purchase an extended warranty on ANY bike they buy. Thank you for watching!
