"If we ignore it, the problem will either go away or fix itself!" Now that we're all done lying to ourselves, maybe we should start talking about it? Even here in the boonies it's slowly becoming an issue. Everyone hears about it, sees it, but pretends it's not there. I'm not sure what to do, but what is being done right now is obviously not the answer.

History always repeats itself in time of need 😂 and we definitely need Harley-Davidson definitely has had a few times of trial and error since 1903 lol , it's definitely "race on Sunday and sell on Monday" Nascar and moon shining had a big play in that saying way back in the day 😎 yes I'm old and yes the Pan America is my favorite bike to date and yes I believe in this motor helping save Harley-Davidson's ass just like the Knuckle did then the Evo and I'm skipping over the m8 and saying that the Revolution max is going to do the same if they can get the buyers to believe in it 🤔 Had me with the horsepower and rpm band of this motor and I believe with different cubic inches and different applications that it would be a awesome motor for any platform they put it in ❤
I think motorcycle racing is rising in popularity because other sports made everything very political, this includes NASCAR. When that happened and people began to migrate, they couldn't help but spend money on what they enjoy. Instead of the football jersey of their fav player, it's now motorcycles and the accompanying gear to ride. It'd be very shortsighted for H-D not to jump on the opportunity to lessen the economic hit that all manufacturers are taking. Oh, and using the RevMax engine that they spent so much R&D money on would be a very smart play too. Thank you for watching!
They need to get rid of the CEO and recommit to ICE engines. They had been leaning towards getting out of ICE vehicles which is simply madness - it's what they do, for cryin' out loud! They need to develop a new line of bikes for a younger generation that doesn't (yet) want a bagger - the PA was a step in the right direction IMO. Still think they should market our PAS as a Sport Tourer but WTH do I know? LOL
Yeah, the CEO needs to go. It's his decision that they don't have "entry level priced bikes". Unfortunately, they need an entry level bike very badly, under $10K. Just throw the minimum abs and tc on there and leave the other electronics off. Something for people to get experience and get them into the brand. H-D might be the only manufacturer that doesn't have that, even Ducati has a Scrambler at $9995. But hey, he's a genius, Puma is the biggest, most sought after... hey, wait, I haven't seen anyone wearing Pumas in over a decade. There sure are a lot of them on sale at discount shoe stores/outlets though...but hey, what do I know. Thank you for watching!
Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Sportster s CVO
That would be very strange, but if H-D thinks it would sell bikes they'd try it I'm sure. Thank you for watching!
I've gotten a 138 score and the stock half worn tires didn't like anything after a 125 score lol
The rev limiter cut in at 140. My tires are the stock scorchers too, about 8K miles on the rear and 11K miles on the front at that point (I replaced the rear at 3300 because of a puncture). It didn't feel too off to me, but the adrenaline was pumping, I'm not sure what anything felt like. 138 is a better score than I got until I swapped my spark plugs out. Before that it was 136 for me. Thank you for watching!
Oohhfff! 😡 I'd love to get 45. Last time I filled up, it was 39.9. 😭 I've started filling up with BP to see how much difference that makes. This was one tank. We'll see after a few tankfuls. I'm more and more convinced I'm just rough on the throttle...
@@ThePolishDad Good luck with the BP fuel! My MPGs have been dropping recently, but Winter gas is here so I knew it was coming. Thank you for watching!
Been hitting 140 on bald tires for a while now and the bike feels totally fine. I’m surprised you couldn’t hit it before. I’m at 9k miles on original plugs. Glad you got a new high score.
@@Robert509Marquez Bald tires means you have more traction, like race slicks😏 I'm not sure why, but it just kept running out of steam at 135/136. New plugs and it went right to 140 and hit the rev limiter. Just quirky weirdness I guess. Thank you for watching!
Chase, the quickshifter alone is worth the upgrade. I have a 22 Pan Am and if you ask me what single part was the best upgrade I did on mine, it has to be the quickshifter.
I'd forgotten about that. I'm glad I haven't ridden a Pan Am with one then, otherwise I'd be poorer this week than I was last week. Because like the electronic suspension and heated grips, once you have that little convenience, you're less likely to want to give it up! Thank you for adding to the temptation and for watching!
I know for me approaching 60 with heart failure and vertigo and Diabetes and several other aches and pains from my past the Pan America Special is my "GOAT" Motorcycle to date and with having 30+ Harleys and 20+ Honda's and a bakers dozen of others in the past that is impressive to me , I did race motocross from 1982-1995ish and I think it's kinda like a Big powerful Enduro bike to me is why I love it so much. The way you "Have" to sit on it is life changing to me, got me off the Triglide and back on 2 wheels without the pain even the Tricycle gave me after a few hundred miles in a day 😊 , there may be others in the stable but a Pan America will always be my prize horse🐎 😎
The Pan Am really is a special bike to get a Trike rider back out on 2 wheels! People are more worried about Hp and Tq but they miss how great the suspension is. The suspension and a seat are the biggest deal when it comes to crushing miles and I always try to play that idea up. I was talking to a guy this weekend at the dealership and mentioned that there was no bike on the showroom floor with a better suspension. Before I left, I saw them roll out a Pan Am for him to test ride so maybe we had another convert! Stay safe out there and thank you for watching!
Feels like they are going to pull the plug on the pan am.
I don't think they'll pull the plug on it, they have too much R&D wrapped up in it. The only reason there were 2 2023 PA's sitting on the floor was the same reason they had a particular new 2023 Street Glide still sitting on the floor, it was also yellow. It's just a color not many people enjoy on a bike. They sold a CVO PA months ago, at MSRP, while those 2 BananAmerica's sat right next to it at a then fairly healthy discount. Plus they sold all of the 2024 red and green PAs they got long ago. Color makes a difference. PAs sell here just fine, even the CVO PAs. H-D doesn't often do yellow bikes, something I've noticed since I was a kid. I've seen videos and even articles in old biker magazines mention this very thing. I don't see other manufacturers doing mostly yellow bikes either, so maybe it boils down to a natural motorcyclists aversion to it? Thank you for watching!
BMW doing the same. Just picked up a ‘24 1250 GSA for $9,000 off plus veterans and first responder discount. They gave me over book on my ‘21 trade. I see comments here about fools and don’t buy new blah blah. Have you seen how people ride their bikes…drive their cars? Abuse and missed maintenance I’ll never buy a used vehicle again. I’ll always buy new
$9K off is a screaming deal on the 1250 GSA! Oh, I've seen terrible stuff working on cars. I remember when it was a point of pride to take care of your machine, now it's as if people don't care. A shop I worked at had a girl come in with a seized engine, she'd never done an oil change in 60K miles! Nothing came out when the drain plug was pulled. The oil pan was essentially filled with grease. She thought maintenance was optional. I buy used, but I also always get an extended warranty to mitigate the possibility of getting shafted. If they would've offered me a 2024 for $8K off, I wouldn't have walked away. If I didn't luck into deals, I'd just buy new. Problem is, I walk into deals far too often. For example, I have a friend with a 2007 Sportster with 2K miles on the clock who's offering it to me for $1K. I don't need it, or really want it, but... Thank you for watching!
@ That’s a great deal on that Sportster! I’d consider just for resale potential but understand it’s a friend giving the deal. I really like your Pan Am, I demo’d one last year it was a nice bike, very quick. I published a quick TH-cam video on my new bike if you’re interested it’s on my channel. Take care!
Harley Davidson has not made motorcycle for quite some time. They are now in the computer business.
Are you sure, I thought H-D was a clothing company who happens to sell motorcycles🤔 Unfortunately, it's every manufacturer now. Even Yamaha is swapping the Tenere' over to electronic throttle. It's just the way things are going. Thank you for watching!
Enjoyed your "stream of consciousness" angst, and good advice, about the opportunities that are presenting themselves on motorcycle showrooms across the country. If one would like to get a great new bike, you are certainly correct: NOW is the time if you can at all swing it. Good luck with your (obvious) dilemma as well...... 🙂
The temptation is real. I'm not buying a new leftover 2023 though. It would be completely illogical after all my own upgrades and the 2023 models being essentially unchanged except bold new graphics/colors. If it was a 2024, with the larger battery, higher output stator, and the red rock or alpine green paint, I'd be more tempted. But, If I were bike-less or Pan Am-less, I'd snap up a BananAmerica right now. Or any bike from any manufacturer, they're all making deals right now. I'm glad you enjoyed the vid and thank you for watching!
I've been riding over 40 years and only one time bought new. Wasn't worth it - let someone else take the hit. A fool and his money are easily parted.
I've never bought a new bike myself. When they're offering $5K-$8K off on a brand new bike, well, it sure is tempting. Plus, it's just the time of year I usually look for a bike. They caught me at the wrong time, I'm content with my Pan Am and there was nothing they could really offer me except 2 years newer on a color I find less alluring. Prices come down because riding season is at its end, less clientele come through the door, new models are getting ready to be shipped, and there's still leftovers on the sales floor which have to go. This year is like I've never seen it, at every dealership (H-D, Japanese, Euro) it's deals they never make. I think it's the economy being rough that's contributing it. All in all, this might be one of the best years to be a buyer if you're someone who just has to have a new bike though. Thank you for watching!
Yeah, I went in for a part and the sales guy said they have year end specials. The catch is you have to finance through HD. Some of the touring model specials already had stage kits on them and other upgrades. I'm happy with my bike, its paid for, and I have it all outfitted. I'll run this another couple of years and see how the economy is in 2026. That is, if Harley is still in business.
I think a ton of people are in wait and see mode right now. Sales on vehicles across the board have dropped so it's not just motorcycle dealers who're making deals. Some H-D dealers must be handling it differently, they were willing to make a deal on an out right purchase or with financing. I passed just because a 2023 really isn't an upgrade for me, I might have jumped on a 2024 (bigger battery, higher output stator) but they didn't have any on stock. If I was just looking to buy one though and didn't have a bike, I'd be a BananAmerica owner actively looking for a decent local paint shop today. Thank you for watching!
How do you get an extended warrantee with an aftermarket muffler? My HD dealer in Melbourne Australia, tells me if voids the warrantee. Nope, I can't make to Adventure HD, wrong country, lol. Besides I love my 2022 Pan Am, in the army green colour.
They allow it here in the US, there's a right to repair law which forced H-D to allow aftermarket parts. They sell aftermarket exhausts (like Bassani slip-ons) in the dealerships along with parts out of the Drag Specialties catalog here. You aren't allowed to alter the fuel tune though, for example, with a Dynojet Power Vision. That will void your ESP/extended warranty. I couldn't tell you how it is in Australia though, but it might be a dealer or countrywide mandate due to a difference in laws. Thank you for watching and stay safe down there!
As a bananamerica owner, it’s not too bad
I know, some people like the yellow, it's just not as appealing to me as orange😉 Thank you for watching!
The Baja Orange has always been my favorite!
Same for me, but the new alpine green and the CVO colorway are great too. Thank you for watching!
You only live once. You can pull your addons off of Witchita and put them on the new one and you can transfer your warranty as well. If you do decide to pull the trigger fet a 2024. It has all of the upgrades to date kn the series. You know you want it. Just do it. I traded my 2022 for a 2024 in Alpine Green.
New, they only had the 2023 BananAmericas and used, a grey 2022 or 2023 Pan Am. While tempted, I just didn't see the point especially with all the hassle of swapping everything over in addition to killing the 5 year extended ESP I just bought in June. It was tempting and a good deal, but not good enough to do all the work. If Wichita was stolen or wrecked, I'd buy a new one. If the stator goes out, engine explodes, etc, with the ESP I get a new one. It wouldn't have been a smart way to spend money on my part unless it was a deal on a 2024 model. For someone looking for a new Pan Am that doesn't have one though, it would be a smokin' deal. That's why I hurried and got the vid out. I do a vid about this subject every year it seems, but it ends up running in late March/April due to the backlog of vids I keep for content. Not this year though, I wanted to help someone take advantage of the deals. Thank you for watching!
Keep what you have, its still new. Save your money for the future!!!
That's why I walked away, but oh boy did they try to tempt me. Besides, I'd like a smaller CC 2nd bike next year, a new bike would've prevented that. Plus, it's yellow, which isn't for me. Thank you for watching!
Huge discounts (circa £5k) off certain tourers in the uk at the moment….unfortunately p/ex are pretty dire…if you are a cash/hp/pcp buyer I totally agree with your opinions….interestingly enough, new pan ams aren’t as heavily discounted.
That is interesting, everything here is being discounted. I wonder what the difference is? I always like to hear what's happening overseas, it can helpful when looking for trends. Thank you for watching!
Congrats on the weight loss. I bet you feel light on that bike. I dropped 60 pounds. So glad I didn't buy a bunch of gear when I was big. I have the small vendetta that is equal in size to the medium raider. Just ordered a medium sharpshooter vest to go over the small vendetta. Great review.
Thank you and congratulations on your weight loss too! Dropping the weight is tough, it takes a lot of dedication, I'm glad you found a way! Waiting would've saved me some money, but I'm never that smart. Unfortunately, I'd bought gear from XL down to my current size of small. Luckily, I had an opportunity to donate the stuff which was too big to friends and family who could use it so it doesn't feel like a total loss. Thank you for watching!
you are correct in every respect. I have a Street Bob and will be trading it on a Pan Am. The only reason for that is Honda won't import the NT1100 into the states.
The NT1100 is quite the bargain but I wonder if Honda thought it would take sales away from the AT here in the states? It likely would've. The lower seat height on the NT would've drawn those of shorter stature who wouldn't have bought an AT anyway. They're likely losing a few sales but who knows how many. There's a ton of cost analysis done, Honda must know something we don't. Let me know what you get, I'm always interested in what people decide on. Thank you for watching!
Aw man so many used ones pre 2010 are so good! Even though most of the bikes I own is 2023 and up, i do still have my r6 and my enduro r! Speaking of power to weight, if we talking metric, 1390 sdr evo is ridiculous as it’s almost 1:1, i miss my 1290 sdr, crashed the baby back in december last year, but i now got a z h2 se
Oh, the new 1390s are ridiculous for sure! Why KTM felt the need to go bigger is beyond me but extra Hp always attracts buyers. My friend had a dyno tuned Z H2 and ended getting trading it in (for a Dyna) because he admitted he wasn't responsible enough and believed he'd get hurt or worse, it was just too much speed. Stay safe out there and I'm glad you survived a crash! BMW just swapped from 1250 to 1300 on their GS models too, hmmm... I wonder if H-D is going to EICMA this year is because they're bringing out a bigger bore RevMax in the Pan Am and Sportsters? I considered they were making a smaller 975 Pan Am but not a bigger RevMax version... Thanks for making me think on this and thank you for watching!
As a motorcyclist, I'm totally with you on this... But I think the people that are into squeezing more performance out of their cars, aren't concerned about the money they're dumping into it... If so, they would have gotten a bike to begin with!
I don't know, I've seen a lot of cheap temu and wishdotcomturbos on crapboxes. Maybe not people who are building for the track, but the average person who's thinking of hopping up their daily driver (I recommend most people don't do it to their sole mode of transport) would be better served just getting a bike that'd smoke their car no matter what they did to it short of an engine swap. Most people I talk to have a mistaken belief they can wreck a car at any speed and survive, but any wreck on a bike will kill you. So they feel more comfortable hopping up a car. Except we both know that's not the case. I've seen people die in a 45mph car crash. My brother survived a 145mph crash on an R6, in a T-shirt & jeans, no helmet. Just a weird subject most people never consider when they're looking to go fast and spending hard earned (getting harder earned by the day) money. Thank you for watching!
Without spending a large amount of $$$. You can get much power out of any Japanese sport bike simply by removing the stock restrictive air intake and exhaust air flow then adjusting the fuel ratio accordingly. Same for any ICE. It is the least expensive increase in power output. The most powerful bikes Ive ever owned and ridden was my 05 ZX10R Kaw. Insane power to say the least. If someone wants a fast Harley the Sportster is the way to go. Its all up to how much you want and can afford. 100 hp is not a bank roll buster. Just stick to the 5 spd Sportsters.
The Sporty is a fine pick for cheap speed, and you can get over 100Hp now, Hammer Performance has a kit to hit stock Pan Am dyno numbers- www.hammerperf.com/883conversions.shtml#120hp Even now you can find Sportsters for $4K and under pretty easy. ZX10R's (any liter+ sport bike really) are scary fast even without any upgrades. Thank you for watching!
About 22k miles on my 22 and I will just scratch 7k miles this year. I was slacken. Bike are made to be be ridden.
Nice! Completely agree, but 7K is pretty good and doesn't seem like you were slacking too much. It's at least 1 oil change and service interval. Thank you for watching!
I avg 15k a year...sometines as much as 35k a year... 63,000 on my Road King now. No idea about the ADVs... but cruiser are made for many miles!
A 15K a year minimum is great! I've found miles much easier on an ADV than on my Road King, the suspension makes the difference. The extra suspension travel is so big and having the electronically adjustable suspension on the Pan Am is game changing. There's a setting called "comfort" that's better than any suspension I've ever ridden on, just magnificent for touring. Stay safe out there and thank you for watching!
@Chase_N that sounds like you found your perfect ride, congrats! My Army infantry days probably didn't help...but I can't ride mid controls for more than 20 minutes and that hurts...gotta have forwards for comfort on all day trips across the country like i like to do, lol. I did own some dirt bikes in the past... but just not a thing for me. I'll stay on the pavement and leave it to you. Enjoy the heck out your rides!!!
I think the Harley Dealers are just accustomed to the cruiser crowd style and miles. I mean riding between bars within your county does not put on a lot of miles. I have 18,000 miles on my BMW R1250 GS after 14 months. 12,000 miles on my BMW R1250 R after 17 months. And 4,100 miles on my BMW R nineT Scrambler after 11 months. And none have broken down. Of course, I am retired so I can ride more often than working folks.
Very possible, there aren't a lot of bars around here and I never drink and ride, even if I visit a bar with friends. Oh, to be retired and able to ride as much as you want... a dream come true if I ever heard it. Thank you for watching and stay safe on those BMWs!
Godere moorning...please information the bag of harley-davidson pan america....😂😂😂😂

Thank you...❤@@Chase_N
Curious to see how you make out with a new windshield. I will be looking for one after winter is over. I get zero buffeting with this one and like you the wind hits the top of my helmet. If I duck down about an inch and a half it goes quiet. Come summer I know I will get my faceshield plastered with bugs if I don't get one a bit taller.
Maybe that's my problem! Sheetz gas!😮
Sheetz is the one gas station I'll avoid if I can. It's consistently the poorest performer for me as far as MPGs, no matter what time of year it is. BP, Speedway, Duke & Duchess, Fuel Mart, and Exxon are my go to gas stations. I get the best at BP and thankfully it's very common. Sunoco was great too, but there aren't many around here. Maybe try a few new gas stations and see if something changes? Thank you for watching!
@Chase_N I don't have many BP stations near me, although it many be worth going out of my way a little to get the better gas... Part of my problem could also be looking for the cheapest gas! As always, thanks for sharing and replying! Have a great day.
Chase I didn't mention the one I bought up here in Canada was a new left over 23. They had them on sale for 5k off the listed price. I was out the door taxes included for under 26k cdn which is less than 18k usd for a bike with less than 5 miles on it. '23 Special with laced wheels and auto suspension etc.
That's a great deal on a Pan Am they were charging $5K-$8K over MSRP on not too long ago!
When I bought mine a few weeks ago they had 2 bikes in stock and I was going to buy the one without the active suspension with auto ride height until I test drove one with it. It is so seamless in operation and nice to know I never have to worry about my footing whatsoever even though I am 6'. Needless to say I changed my mind and got the one with the optional suspension.
Congratulations and welcome you to the club! Yeah, the ARH is really great and makes it so much better even if you're taller. Footing while off-road is where I find it most useful. Slick loose gravel is sketchy enough but having sure footing makes it easier to handle. Check out the custom modes, the suspension has a setting "comfort" that's unmatched. Congrats again and thank you for watching!
For every guy that rides his bike, Harley or other, and racks up mileage there are probably 1000 that only ride when the sun is shining and it’s above 75F outside. For the vast majority of riders it’s just a toy. And why would you want to ride in unpleasant conditions on a toy?
Yeah, I always thought it strange to see old bikes of any make with low miles. I've never looked at any vehicle as a toy. It's just another form of transport, some more fun or functional than others. If I'm going for a ride, I usually have a destination or errand to run. For example, I need a gallon of milk, take the car or truck? The bags on the Pan Am will carry a gallon of milk and I'm gonna have more fun along with saving money on fuel economy too. PA it is. Convincing huh😏 As far as unpleasant conditions? It depends on what you feel is unpleasant. A 50*F day on the back roads around my house is quite pleasant. I mean, there are guys who pay women to do things to them most people would find quite unpleasant. There was a guy who used to ride around here on an old 90s era Softail while wearing a top hat in 20*F weather, he always looked happy. I wish I wanted to ride that bad, but I cut it off when it snows or dips below 40*F (after a cold ride at 39*F taught me my limit on the Pan Am). Thank you for watching!
@ fair enough. I ride as much as I can for as long as I can, but in the northeast it’s difficult to get out sometimes. I work a half mile from home, and live within a mile or two of every store in town so my riding is mostly solo trips on weekends. I still manage about 5000 miles a year which is far above the average for this area.
@@elwood62 Oh no, I get it, it get's colder in the NE (more snow too) than it does here in OH by the WV border. I lived near Cleveland before I lived here, it's a different world in the Winter. My friends who still live there get a foot of snow, I get an inch. 5000 is quite a bit for the shorter riding season in the NE. Just be glad we don't live in Northern Canada, now that's a rough place to live for a motorcycle enthusiast!
How many miles on her n has she been pretty reliable this far?.. considering getting one myself..Ride Safe 😊
I'm between 12K and 13K miles in just over a year. Mine is a March 2021 Pan Am, a very early model which are supposed to be the problem children. Besides some initial teething issues in the 1st two weeks (a bad battery from sitting in a warehouse for 8 months untendered, a coolant hose by the front header that melted a little) that were remedied very quick by the dealer, my Pan Am has been great. Just maintenance (oil changes, spark plugs, checking bolts, etc) and getting the ECM/BCM updates is all I've done since. Anything after mid-2022 should be great as all the fixes were implemented at that point. Make sure it has all the ECM/BCM updates and I always suggest the ESP/extended warranty with every bike (I went for 5 years on mine in June). 2024 Pan Ams have an upgraded battery with more CCAs and Amp hours along with a more powerful stator if you're looking for the ultimate Pan Am. Watch for deals on older models, there are some to be had now that Winter is approaching. Good luck in your search no matter if you get a Pan Am or something else, and thank you for watching!
@Chase_N Thnks for all that info..👍😊
Bought mine in late January of this year and I've got 3k on it thus far. It does share time with another bike so there's that.
3K is pretty good for under 10 months when you're splitting time between 2 bikes. Also, it's a nice to have options! Thank you for watching and stay safe out there on both bikes!
22K miles on my KTM1290sas, which I bought because HD couldn't supply a PanAm.
It's great to hear from people who get out there and ride their bikes! The pandemic played a role in this quite often. Supply chain problems were rampant and until last year, were still an issue. Plus, it seems some dealers who didn't need Pan Ams got them in spades while the dealers who were constantly selling out of Pan Ams received very few. Thankfully you picked a 1290, which by all reports is very reliable. Plus, oof, the power, it's the major reason to go with the KTM! Thank you for watching and stay safe out there fellow ADV Bro!
2023 Pan America S 12,000 miles and loving it
Great to hear, it sounds like you're putting down the miles! Thank you for watching!
We just had a Pan Am come across the shop with about 43k. It's insane!
That's impressive! I have a feeling the water cooling on the RevMax will enable it to last a very long time. Thank you for the comment and for watching!
@Chase_N I agree! I'm considering pan am for my next bike in all honesty
@@aidan285 All it took was a test ride on a Pan Am to take me from considering, to actively looking for a deal on one. Whether you get a Pan Am or not, I hope you find a bike you can really enjoy!
36k miles on my 21. You probably got a weird look because you were changing them yourself. I didn't put new ones in a 30k, just took the old ones out, cleaned them and put them back.
36K, that's some mileage! It's possible the look was because I was changing them myself. It sucks to pull the gas tank & airbox off, but it's not impossible. My OE copper plugs were cooked and had a notch burned out of the center electrode, there was no cleaning and reusing them. I switched to the SE spark plugs (I'm fairly sure they're Bosch's +2 platinum spark plugs of yesteryear) just because I wouldn't even use copper plugs in a lawnmower at this point. Thank you for the comment, it's great for people to see you can put mileage on bikes. Also, thank you for watching!
Trading my road glide today for the pa
Congratulations and welcome to the club! Enjoy yourself today and stay safe out there!
an email sent to your mail box, please have a kind check!🙏
Strange. That doesn’t look like Mexico.🤔
Wait, was this on my trip to the Autobahn😬
not exactly what you asked but I've got just over 5000 miles on my new sport bike in 4 months which I'd say is quite a lot
Outstanding, that'll do just fine. It's a lot for a sport bike in a hunched over position and I don't think I could come close to that now. Thank you for watching and stay safe out there fast-bro!
I live in HSV AL and i bought a 2022 1290 SDR EVO and plugged in 2.6k miles before someone decided to brake check me. I also had a 2023 Sportster S brand new before i traded her last month in for my new 2023 yellow Pan Am Special and she had 6.3k in a year! The pan am currently has 1.1k. I also have a 2023 z h2 se with 3.8k miles, a 2023 tnt135 with 2.7k and a 2006 r6 that i’ve out it roughly 500 miles before i decided to get it checked out for some weird kinks.
It sounds like you're going to pile on the miles and put that Bananamerica to the test. My brother had an 08 R6 he bought new and loved, but it kept having issues with overheating. You might be the only other person I've heard from to have issues with an R6, but it is 18 years old so some slack must be cut. A friend had the ZH2, with the tune, somewhere around 300Hp. He did so many heinous runs on it that he decided it might end his life and traded it for Dyna. Then he took my Pan Am for a rip and decided he wants one. There's always an itch to scratch, as evidenced by that mini-moto Benelli you have there. It looks like you have all the bases covered though. Stay safe out there and thank you for watching!
I have 19,860 miles on my 2021 Panamerica Special
A fellow 2021 owner! The way they make it sound, every 2021 blew up and disappeared into oblivion, yet here we are still riding them. It's good to see others are putting miles down on the Gravel Glide, and thank you for watching!
I have 15,358 miles on my 2023 Pan Am Special. They replaced my RHCM under warranty and my left rear turn signal because it had moisture in it. Aside from that it’s been very reliable and a hoot to ride!
Nice, it's good to see others putting miles on their Pan Ams. I've taken to cleaning the control modules with contact cleaner. I had codes come up concerning the RHCM a few times. I wanted them to look at it (I set an appointment) but decided to just try contact cleaner 1st. It worked, codes never came back, and I cancelled the appointment. I'm thinking the mistake was not sealing the buttons on the control modules from dirt and wet on a bike that's designed to shine in that sort of environment. I don't know if they remedied it with the new parts, but the contact cleaner fixed my issues. Thank you for watching!
Bought my first new PAS a 2022 in July of 2022. Traded it in July 2024 with 24,000 miles . Took ownership of my current PAS that same day July 3 , 2024. Just had its 5000 mile service 2 weeks ago. Havent gone on any trips other than the Smoke Out in Salisbury, NC a 1000 mile round trip from NE Pennsylvania. So I'm slacking a little. Using it to commute to work instead of my Sportster as the PA is a warmer ride in the cold mornings.
I left a friend's house this morning at 48*F, something I'd have never done on any other bike. Th Pan Am makes it more bearable though. You'll rack up the miles commuting in no time. They'll pile on fast, it doesn't sound like slacking at all. Thank you for watching!
@Chase_N our morning low for Monday 28 Oct is going to be 32 deg F. Will be more like 28 here in the hills. Will be commuting the 40 miles to work at 4 am. Will let you know how it goes tomorrow.
@@paulwojnar2291 Oof, that's going to be rough. Stay warm and safe!
@Chase_N Welk not as cold as predicted . 37 deg F. Very comfortable. With the heated grips and the great wind coverage a nice ride believe it or not
Man, that's a hard, hard subject to bring up, but I'm glad you have found a way to support your brother. I also have absolute zero tolerance for anything that has to do with drugs and have been watching my father slowly drinking himself into oblivion, but I understand how strong the demons can be. I wish that you will find peace and reconstruct the relationship with your brother, I really hope so.
Thank you and I'm sorry you have to watch your father spiral, I hope he finds help and you find peace too. I don't know what happened, it's as if everyone decided to ignore the drug problem and pretend it doesn't exist. Because it's too painful or embarrassing (oh, this one I get), or because they fear offending someone? "Let's just ignore it and it magically goes away" is the idea now. If anyone speaks out it's "Where is your compassion?", but really what I see that boil down to is "How dare you speak out against something tearing society apart! There's money to be made and you're attempting to place yourself in the way of that." Thank you for watching and again, I hope your father pulls out of the spiral.
Love my Dirt Glide, I picked up my 22 special 2 months ago with 572 miles on it , it was a dealer demo with V&H pipe. £11k with the Harley Warranty. 4000 miles on love this bike, yes I had the starter clutch replaced and the right hand control unit, both of which I was aware of and caught them early. Now I traded in my BMW RT for this bike, would I go back, hell no! The BMW had better weather protection, but I just bought better gear for riding the HD problem solved. Comfort on standard seats the HD wins over the BMW and we are talking all day in the saddle not a couple of hours.
Congratulations and welcome to the club! Checking exchange rate... just a tick over $14K US for a Pan Am with only 572 miles on it, and I thought I got a steal! You traded in a BMW for it too? It must of been been one heck of a test ride (that's how they got me to buy a Pan Am)! I've cleaned my hand control module/units with contact cleaner once after having a code thrown and haven't had it happen again, I think the originals weren't sealed as well as the replacements. I'm still on the original starter clutch too, seems it's holding up better than others. Again, welcome to the Pan Am Club and thank you for watching!
Prayers for you and your brother my friend.
Thank you, and thank you for watching too.
Sad to say many families have had the tragedy of losing a loved one to an addiction. I lost my cousin and my niece to heroin. Ifs as you said it is very very difficult to be around them let alone converse when they are using. So sorry for you loss of your brother who was murdered. I will pray that your other brother wins his battle with his addiction. I agree with you 100 % . I feel that heroin and fentanyl dealers should reeive the death penalty for they are murderers. God bless you and your family Chase. May God help your brother overcome.
Thank you and I'm truly sorry for your loss too. It's all to common these days. I don't think I've met anyone who hasn't been affected by the more recent drug epidemic of heroin and fentanyl. I remember reading about heroin taking over for crack as the street drug of choice. Then reading about fentanyl being used to cut the heroin because it was cheaper. Then, they moved to selling the fentanyl itself. Talk about it with anyone, there's always a mention of a family member. An everyman problem but seemingly a taboo subject. If nobody talks about it, the problem will never be remedied. Thank you for watching and again, my condolences for your cousin and niece.
