    No excuse for crime; society may from time to time change laws. But at the same time we are contracted to obey the laws to which a majority have assented.

    Very helpful video thanks. They use Japan as an example against capitalism being Criminogenic but it's argued that japan's low crime rates are due to the policing and coercion by the yakuza. Maybe the yakuza was an attempt from the working class to overthrow capitalism? The corruption between politics and organised crime in Japan and marxist theories is fascinating

      Surely crime drops anywhere where there is an ageing population. crime is dropping in Britain and Japan both.
