  • Our previous portable refrigerator, the Massimo E-Kooler 62L finally bit the dust after nearly 2 years of solid use. So, I went searching for a suitable replacement and found this very similar but slightly better fridge that is made by BougeRV. This portable refrigerator has a capacity of 48 quarts (45 liters) shares a lot of the same components as the Massimo E-Kooler but also features a lot of enhancements, such as a dual zone fridge/freezer with baskets, a reversable lid with easier access, a slightly lower profile, and a small cutting board. In this video I go over the unique features of the BougeRV fridge and run a couple of tests to see how well it actually performs.

The fridge comes in various sizes and configurations. Be sure to choose yours carefully!

That’s awesome! So far it’s been handling everything I can throw at it! I even dropped it on accident the other day and so far still working good (fingers crossed!) 😟

does your batter from your old fridge fit in the new one? bRV batteries are crazy expensive compared to the clones.

I no longer had the old one to compare but I’m pretty sure it would have.

Whats the warranty and what tupe of compressors in it?

    • @TheNotSoOrdinaryCarGuy

BougeRV guarantees you a 2-year warranty for the compressor and all other accessories. Not sure exactly who makes the compressor but it's similar to one I had in a previously owned Massimo E-Kooler, portable fridge.

bend the baskets out to stop the rattle

I should give that a try. I appreciate the advice! I also was thinking of maybe adding weather stripping or foam to some of the corners.

You didn't show if it froze the water bottle lol

By the time I got to it was after the fridge had shut off and it was starting to thaw. But it did freeze it.

I don't trust lithium batteries. They're powerful, but hazardous in that they can be a fire hazard.

I still haven’t bought their on board battery. Haven’t really seen the need to, plus it’s a little pricey.

@@TheNotSoOrdinaryCarGuy I bet. I'll use my power station more, car battery as a last resort. Knowing me, I'll run my car battery dead forgetting it was plugged in.

Why are these things BLACK? Absorbs the sun's heat!

That's a good question. Although it can be used outdoors during fair weather, I don't think it was designed exactly to spend most of it's time outside.
