That’s awesome! So far it’s been handling everything I can throw at it! I even dropped it on accident the other day and so far still working good (fingers crossed!) 😟
Hey Dan. I think so. As long as it uses the same connector that the fridge has for solar power input. BougeRV does sell a solar connector to DC adapter here: www.bougerv.com/products/solar-dc-connectors
Thank you! Are you referring to the on-board battery that can be purchased from BougeRV separately? Or the battery in the power station that I featured in the video?
Unfortunately I do not. But I can tell you a little bit about it. I used a Smart Battery Box Power Center available at NAPA: www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_MTBA890 along with an AGM battery that I keep charged at home with a Noco Battery Charger.
@@mrs.c5471 I checked the manual and didn’t see any literature about a standby mode. I also just looked at the product page on Amazon and couldn’t find anything about it either. I can tell you that after owning and using this BougeRV CR45 Portable fridge, that I have not seen nor used any “standby mode”.
@@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAI thank you for looking into to this. I did look at the amazon page and didn't see that statement, but I know that it does refer to (in standby mode) in my BougeRV Dual Door Series User Manual, in the battery section (pg 12). I am just going to reach out to Bouge and hope I can get an answer.
I'm sorry. I guess our manual's are different. I hope that you can get an answer and if you don't mind chiming in on here when you do, that would be great as I am now curious. Lol
BougeRV guarantees you a 2-year warranty for the compressor and all other accessories. Not sure exactly who makes the compressor but it's similar to one I had in a previously owned Massimo E-Kooler, portable fridge.
13:55 3 navigation units to get groceries. 5 screens that's allot of distractions in your direct eyesight. You're blocking like a 1/3 of your vision, bet your insurance company would try to deny your claim if you ever had an accident..
I did not get to test this as I did not purchase the on-board battery (sold separately). But according to the Amazon listing, it's supposed to add about 10 hours of run time to the fridge/cooler. I'm sure that time is going to depend on factors like, environment, items stored, etc. amzn.to/4dz0dnD
@@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAI I bet. I'll use my power station more, car battery as a last resort. Knowing me, I'll run my car battery dead forgetting it was plugged in.
That's a good question. Although it can be used outdoors during fair weather, I don't think it was designed exactly to spend most of it's time outside.
Just bought this unit on the Black Friday price special...Thanks for your video!

13:00 Bent the basket outward just enough to be tight in the fridge.
I added a little foam insulation to the top lip and that seems to have worked. They don’t rattle when loaded. Only when empty.
Awesome review and awesome Jeep! 😊
Thank you! Glad you liked the review!
Great thanks. Also can I use any brand solar panel with that cooler.
Thanks
Dan

Great video. How long can the cooler run on just the battery?

Do you have a video of the portable power supply?

Awesome, thanks and just ordered my BougeRV CRD55, yesterday.@@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAI
does your batter from your old fridge fit in the new one? bRV batteries are crazy expensive compared to the clones.
I no longer had the old one to compare but I’m pretty sure it would have.
Can you set both sides to refrigerator?
Yes. You can set both side's temperatures independently of each other and to any temperature within the range of the unit.
can u review bodega car cooler?
I would be happy to if they would send me one. Perhaps I should reach out to them.
can someone tell my what exactly is the "standby mode" and how do you put your unit in this mode?
I'm not sure what you mean by "standby mode". Might you be referring to the "Battery Protection Mode"?
@@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAI I'm just repeating what the user manual says, and I believe in the information on Amazon.

bend the baskets out to stop the rattle
I should give that a try. I appreciate the advice! I also was thinking of maybe adding weather stripping or foam to some of the corners.
Whats the warranty and what tupe of compressors in it?

It actually doesn’t hardly block my vision at all. Just looks like it does from that angle. But thank you!
On board battery?

You didn't show if it froze the water bottle lol
By the time I got to it was after the fridge had shut off and it was starting to thaw. But it did freeze it.
I don't trust lithium batteries. They're powerful, but hazardous in that they can be a fire hazard.
I still haven’t bought their on board battery. Haven’t really seen the need to, plus it’s a little pricey.
