Fan Bingbing mania: Melaka assembly told Chinese tourists are coming with six daily flights

- Melaka tourism, heritage, art and culture committee chairman Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman told the state legislative assembly on Tuesday (July 9) that the returns for the state government for its appointment of Chinese actress Fan Bingbing as its tourism ambassador would be tabled after the Visit Melaka Year 2024 campaign ends on Dec 31.
He said Melaka will be getting six international flights daily from China in September and October following the campaign, not to mention the millions of followers on Fan's social media accounts.

Hahaha exactly. I mean the criticism we get for not wanting to pay Taylor Swift to come here was so overblown. It's like Taylor Swift not coming here was like armageddon. I mean I would love it if many celebrities could come here a lot but if they don't its not the end of the world. It's a one night thing, with temporary economic benefits. This is what we should do. We should market our country at limited cost and long term planning.

why so many complains? You go to Terengganu (specifically into the Terengganu tourism office) you can se Mat Dan the Mat Salleh kecek Ganu who is a total stranger 5 years ago, a guy who overstayed in Malaysia and that guy is now the ambassador of Terenganu.
