As I watch you talk through your process and aesthetic, I am reminded of Mr. Rogers, a mainstay of public television in this country. His programming was aimed at young people, but he also connected with their parents in his patient and methodical way of observing, feeling and sensing the world. He modeled and taught generations to look at our world, examine and question, and appreciate life’s many journeys of discoveries. There! I am beginning to appreciate what I and others appreciate in your weekly vlogs. Love you lots! Even on Sundays filled with family and friends, I look forward to checking in wit you!
I hadn't heard of Mr Rogers until the Tom Hanks film and I loved him! I went back and watched all I could and what a wonderful man he was! It is an honour to be linked with him! Thank you so much! xxx

Your Liberty collection has kept me coming back for a good long time now. I was happy for months after seeing that there was not only a suitcase full of Liberty in existance, but that it was in the hands of a person who loved it as it should be loved.
It would be so pretty to find an old frame and mount it to the frame with no back on it. Then you could attach some pretty ribbon and hang it from the window! It could be like a sun catcher! Love the Liberty fabric! It’s hard to find here in the US and if I do find some, it’s super expensive! So, I live vicariously through you! Hope you have a wonderful week!
Many, many years ago (more than 2), I bought rolls of gridded iron on interfacing with this project in mind. I was much younger then and found it all too fittily, haha. But now I have everything I need, including the time, and I enjoy fittilly things that make our home a home. Bits of fabric that I love sitting in drawers waiting for inspiration. And there you are once again to provide that inspiration. It is over 100 degrees for the second day here in the Pacific Northwest. It will be again tomorrow. Way out of our comfort zone. No iron will be plugged in for a time now. But the possibilities are endless. Thank you, Kate. Please give Anna a hello also. You two make a sweet team.

Hi Kate ,this is Roxanna Fisher sure like you're projects , and Looking forward to seeing part two when do you get up to to do all your project's start I sure would Love to watch you work on everything you do ok
Just nothing prettier than Liberty. I think I might do that and frame it between two pieces of glass. The light coming through is magical.❤️ Thanks again for all the fun and inspiration!
Joy! I just got a package from Kate, her last homely house greeting cards. Now every time I look at my mantle, I get a wee escape to my happy place. Just beautiful.
There is something so charming about very small quilting squares; I think they’re called postage stamp quilts. And done in Liberty fabric makes them SO elegant! Thanks you so much Kate for all your teaching and sharing. ❤️
I love your project I love the quilt in this beautiful sorry I missed your video the other day when you had your store I'm a day behind Tom videos happy crafting and have fun and stay safe and stay warm thanks for sharing your wonderful videos
No apology required at least in my book. Since I found your channel which has been a couple of months, you have motivated me to pick up my quilting again and work on projects that haven't seen the sewing machine for 15 years. So for that Kate, I say Thank you xoxoxo
Thank you Kate. It is so satisfying to rediscover unfinished work and bring it to completion. You have renewed my love of quilt squares. For some reason they went out favor for me for many years. Part of what I really love about your work is the kaleidoscope of colors put together with a sense of glowing from the gradients of colors. ( does that make sense🙈) As you were holding up the first finished one, it occurred to me how nicely they would look as a Chinese lantern so you could feel the glow of the lovely homely 🌈colors. Thank you and I really did enjoy this. Marjorie from Georgia.US.. ( the volume was fine on my ear buds)
So nice spending a morning sewing with you, Kate. Those pillows are very charming!! Your postage stamp projects always make me happy. They remind me of how women used to take every piece of scrap fabric they could find and make beautiful postage stamp quilts so that nothing went to waste. I love them!

I’d love to see little squares in your treehouse window and some pillows on the bed. Imagine enjoying all the fabrics as you’re lying down for a little nap! You’re so lucky to have a treehouse! I was going to buy a stained glass piece to hang in one of my high sunroom windows that gets too much sun when watching TV in the Winter but since I have lots of floral fabrics have decided to make squares like you did. I’ve used this technique to make pictures (Christmas wreath, etc) but never thought of hanging one in my window. Thanks for the idea Kate! 🥰
Your creative genius in it’s homespun reality is amazing & wonderful to watch! Another Sunday of watching and wishing I was there….enjoy your mindfulness so much 😎
Hi Kate. I actually enjoyed your video of the wonderfully placed Liberty fabric squares. I did wonder when we'd see part 2, and here it is. So exciting to see it. I love these beautiful "stained glass" panels you've made for the curtains, and the pillow coverings. Gives me hope to do things with color... different fabrics by the same mfg. Not really into some of the geometry of quilting, and am new to it, anyway, so keeping it simple is good. Thanks for all your terrific chat. Feels like a friend just sat and sewed with me for a few minutes.

When I do pillows, I don't do zips either! There are a few ways to close them, but I always use the lined overlapping back flaps. The cushions are lovely 😍 Zippers used to be very annoying to sew in for me ... The pins made everything so bumpy ... But one day I found out about double sided self advesive tape (a special one for fabric) to fix zippers before i sew them in: it‘s so much easier 😃
The pixel squares are stunning! I have been catching up on all your fabulous videos and don’t seem able to stop! I am going to start a scrap quilt soon, the one that Terry Rowland design. I almost always handpick my zippers in and tell myself it's a fancy couture finish! well, it gets the job done, and neatly without having to mess with trying to machine sew them in.
Hello Kate, I have been binge watching your vlogs. Absolutely love them all. Always amazes me to see one person who is capable of doing so many various things. Is there anything that you cannot do? You inspire me to try new things. Thank you!
Oh Kate…. I’m giggling to myself because I will often do the same thing with a project - I eventually get back to them, but sometimes a bit of time passes. What made me laugh is that I happened across the first video about a month ago and searched high and low through your videos for ‘part 2’!! At least now I know I didn’t miss it! I loved watching you place the pieces and could hear myself (and others) saying ‘no, don’t move that piece….’ followed by ‘ooooh, that was an amazing choice!’… LOL! I adore squares too! Just ordered all your books in your shop - I’m so excited, but I did miss the tea towel…. :( Thank you for always bringing sunshine into my day. xx
These are called watercolor quilts here in the USA, I love making them. I usually make them into a finished wallhanging. Love your idea for a window hanging! Lovely work💕
Hi Kate .. FINALLY.. Thank The Almighty.. I've been waiting for part 2 very patiently with NO complaints.. I just love how you finished the pink cushion with no fuss and they look lovely together as a couple ❤ Mr Blue waited very silent and patiently for Kate to create his Mate .. Miss "Pinky" I am so inspired to make my very own cushions with my stack of liberty fabrics .. Thank you Kate .. oh and I had 1 ad in the beginning and 2 of them at the end .. hugs from a very cold Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦
Wow you do beautiful work with that fabric. I am not a sewer but I love watching you sew. I also love the crochet blanket that was on the chair where you put the pillows. Love your channel.
That is really pretty. I think I would sew lace around the outer edges. That would hide the rough edge and enhance the stained glass window effect. Or, bind it like a quilt would be pretty too. Whatever, you're so creative I'm sure you'll come up with something pretty.
Well worth the wait, Kate! I do remember Part One vividly because I posed you a number of questions then because the pixel process absolutely fascinates me. I do love what you've done in Part Two -- a brilliant inspiration to 'let the fabric do the talking'. All your projects speak volumes! xx
Kate....you "winging it" is amazing! You have a beautiful mind and create such beautiful, stunning items. You are an artist! I'm in awe over everything you've created!!!
Hello there, little sewing wizard! That is the coolest trick I have ever seen, no pins, no slipping fabric. It looks great in the window. The frame can be hung using a fishing wire this way it looks as if it is floating. xoxo's Sandie
Lovely to watch ….. always get good ideas and inspiration from you Kate. I love it that you don’t always get projects completed straight away but go back after some while …. I do just the same ! As already mentioned by another follower, I always do envelope backs on mY cushions. It’s easy and cheaper as no buying of zips! So like the two cushions together on the. Hair. Thanks Kate, your videos are always very watchable and easy to follow if I want to copy anything. (Di Webb)
Hi Kate, I feel such a kinship with you, especially after seeing this latest video! I can't remember how or exactly when I found you and Arne & Carlos, both about the same time, Nov 2020 I think. I love how you tackle all sorts of craft projects! Back in Feb 2019, we had just moved into a new house and I actually was able to set up my own sewing/crafting room, always used the dining table before. The first project I did was just like this, cut 1 1/2" squares from all my batik scraps, drew a 12x12 grid on iron-on interfacing and ironed all the squares down. Then set it aside, as we had lots to do, fix up the old house to sell, finish getting settled into the new house, then baby blankets for friends & family had to be made, and other items came to the top of the to-do list. I didn't forget about this pixel project, I have a drawer for my UFOs! So seeing your vid has made me get mine back out and I'm going to get it finished! Plan on doing a pillow, don't like zippers a lot either, but will do an envelope back, that way the cover can easily be washed! I'll try to post a photo on my Instagram when it's done. I recently received the tea towel and the other 2 of the 7 little books in the mail, LOVE them! mind how you go, Yvonne J-H
I love love your little square projects. My health is bad..heart operation ahead. So I've been making "Dotee Dolls"...like a mad woman....im sure I've made 50-60 of them...it keeps my mind off of upcoming events...and they're so cute! I have a friend who's into makeup. I made her one with eyeshadow n rosie cheeks!...cant wait to give it to her!
Really pretty. There are some really good tutorials for zippers on TH-cam. Made Everyday has a good one. If you aren't making the pillow reversible, I prefer to use an envelope pocket on the back (no zipper). I make standard and king size pillowcases with them close to one end so you don't have that unattractive open end of the pillow. I just buy an extra flat sheet that matches my bedding and I cut it up to make them. A lot of time it's less expensive than buying the pillow cases or shams. Cheers!

I almost always handpick my zippers in and tell myself it's a fancy couture finish! well, it gets the job done, and neatly without having to mess with trying to machine sew them in.
I so wish I'd found your channel earlier but never mind I'm just grateful I've found it now 😊 x
Hello Kate, I have been binge watching your vlogs. Absolutely love them all. Always amazes me to see one person who is capable of doing so many various things. Is there anything that you cannot do? You inspire me to try new things. Thank you!
She is truly an inspiration👏👏👏 ❤️😀
there are many things I can't do! very many! maybe I should make a video listing them all - it would be a long video! ha ha ha! but thank you xxx
I love your idea of using the small squares. I am thinking of what i can make, so many choices! Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you Kate .. oh and I had 1 ad in the beginning and 2 of them at the end .. hugs from a very cold Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦
everything comes to she who waits - thank you for being patient! xxx
It’s like stained glass absolutely gorgeous!
I'm in awe over everything you've created!!!
yes I loved it. those squares look fabulous. Well done on finishing.
Lovely ❣ thanks for finishing this beautiful project. I think it could look stunning on ax lampshade too
Hello there, little sewing wizard! That is the coolest trick I have ever seen, no pins, no slipping fabric.
It looks great in the window. The frame can be hung using a fishing wire this way it looks as if it is floating.

(Di Webb)
I adore that! I am all about stained glass window anything. I enjoy your video's so much. Thank you.
I love all the things! And because it seems to be a conversation... I had to turn my volume up to 100%.
sorry about the volume - I will investigate xxxx
This is lovely! how funny! get it finished and tag LHHLGS on insta! mind how YOU go too! xxxxx
I love love your little square projects. My health is bad..heart operation ahead. So I've been making "Dotee Dolls"...like a mad woman....im sure I've made 50-60 of them...it keeps my mind off of upcoming events...and they're so cute! I have a friend who's into makeup. I made her one with eyeshadow n rosie cheeks!...cant wait to give it to her!
take care and keep busy - it keeps you out of your head and puts the worry away for a while - but you know that - good luck with the surgery xxx
Cheers!
