We don't know the circumstances and the bible *does* allow for divorce. We're supposed to fix the marriage if we can, but infidelity, abuse, basically if your partner broke their vows in a serious way you can divorce. There's a huge problem in the church with shaming divorcees even though our job is to love each other.
