Just a quick tip for you when driving those 90s and older cars. When going to 1st, always doubleclutch. Many of older cars does not have syncros or very weak ones compared to older. Second tip, if you cant ingage first gear while stationary, put to 2nd and then 1st.

That second tip works for me. When I can't get in reverse, I first go to 5th gear.

450hp is a very safe tune for a 26. My brother's rb25det powered s13 track car made 350hp. I love these engines 😁

Atleast just don’t make fun of them and appreciate if they trying to see these kind of videos and this beautiful car coz not everybody have autobahn like Germans

It's all about torque m8, most cars with 400 hp have 400 torque, I guess
@@rafaelcarmo5562 no offense but I think you’re a bit off the mark. Torque is a measure of twisting force, power is a measure of twisting force over time. Some cars with lower displacement have little torque but are very fast because they have high HP, due to a higher redline. The best example are NA formula one engines. They have little torque but could rev out to 20000 RPM (and made 800-1000 HP). I get what you’re saying but it’s not about torque...that’s a common myth. Diesel engines have a lot of torque but can’t spin quickly, which is why they’re usually slow and don’t have much horsepower. HP encompasses torque and rpm is the most accurate measure of how fast a car is, because it measures the amount of work an engine can do.
@@mikemoggerson6651 thanks for the clearance m8! I love cars along time ago but never studied it so I think I understand a few things yet. I get what you're saying, but let me ask... The 1st gear has the highest torque and assuming the car has turbos and such torque for a 'lightweight' car, is it bold to assume that it helps alot launching the car so fast?

Bro that Mishimoto is the radiator, not the intercooler 🤣 Also 500-600hp on stock internals is pretty doable, you don't need forged internals or anything different for that. Even rb25's can do 500hp reliably on stock internals if the setup is proper and it's mapped correctly.
*One thing is sure, people that can afford this car, don't care about it, and people that care about this car ,can't afford it*
and also is sad that still goes high in values, that people who will really enjoy a car like this cannot afford it anymore

I have borrowed my mates 260RS Autech Version (R33 GTR in a family station wagon) for the next couple of weeks and his clutch is the same ( Dual clutch) 500HP in a 1996-7 car. Once on boost it is ready to bite you if you dont respect it. Great video.

Friend of my has a R33 GT-R VSPEC with about 750 HP, first time after the upgrades he stalled the engine about 6 times trying to get away because of the clutch 😅😅
My own hobby car has a Helix paddle clutch (200mm) if you stall it you'll notice 😂😂
Point is with clutches like those, there is no slip, it's like a on/off switch 😉

amazing car with huge history with many popular movies and very fast!
2 mistakes i spot to this video so far:
1: it's brian o conner, brian uses spilner last name in fast 1 when he is an undercover cop to capture dom torreto but in the end brian still releases dom. 2: RB26 actually make 330hp if they weren't in japan version, japan limited all japan sports car at the maximum of 280hp to reduce street racing cases and accidents
Japan models were advertised as 276hp but in real life all of them produced 320-330hp.
I know its been like 2 years from this video buuuut, the GTR real horsepower (depending on the spec) was from 300hp to 400 so yeah, in the registration it doesn't say that because of the laws from back in the day where you could NOT make a production car that had more than 230hp (in japan)

The stock bottom end of the RB26 can take around 600 hp, anything higher you really need to get the internal,s forged, my R33 GTR has 700 hp with a Fully Forged 2.8 LT Tomei engine with a V Cam System built by RB Motorsport in the UK along with a Nismo 6 speed Getrag gearbox and I love it, there great cars, drive safe guys.

@@szymonzalewski4241 I always explain people that you can think of Skylines as japanise bmw 3 series. There were normal versions for daily comute, and M3 wich is same thing for e46 as gt-r for r34.

Great review! RB25 Neo in R34 GTT have 280hp stock, same as GTR, on paper at least. A little less torque than the GTR though.
