Thank you so much for this video as I made a tea cosy and it went wrong before I had seen your perfect explanation. It turned out absolutely beautifully with your help and instruction.

Every time I make a new tea cosy I watch your excellent video again! Thank you very much. I’m fascinated by your Brother Innovis sewing machine that has an attached fabric support - I have never seen that before and it appears to be a feature that is not available on current machines.
Hi Debbie, I made this tea cosy a while ago and loved its simplicity and outcome! ( I am a novice sewer), just thought I would share with you that I have just applied the same principle to making a lovely tablet cover and again, made it in minutes and really pleased. I really appreciate your guidance, thank you!
I was struggling to buy a cosy for my new 17 x 12 inches large tea pot so decided to have a go at making one following your tutorial. I'm not very creative so expected the worst but your instructions are so clear I managed to do it and will be making more. Thank you so much.
Dang! Had my stuff to make my tea cosy on the table for weeks. Even had the template for the shape cut out. Then... I saw your video and 30 minutes later had a working cosy :) Thanks.

Perfect! Thanks 😊. I'm going to make this for my tea-drinking friend! She can bring it to the cafe when we meet up. She's always saying her tea has gotten cold while we talk.
Thank you! !! I went and looked for a pattern at joannes and they had nothing..I looked online and your video was fabulous easy to follow..I'm gonna make one in the morning per request from a friend. I'm really excited to get started thanks to you.

Thank you Debbie - I thought making a tea coy would be easy, i have been pfaffing around trying to make a tea cosy without a pattern ughh. I wish I'd seen your method earlier
Hi, I am from Missouri USA and I can understand you perfectly. I was looking for a Cozy for my Press Pot. I think if I lengthened this pattern to the size of the press pot it will work fine. Any suggestions? Thanks for your videos I am having a great time watching in the afternoon. With my TiVo I can get it on my TV in the living room. LOL
+Suzanne Perkins I think that's a great idea, you could make this cosy in any size to fit... you may need to make it a bit narrower as well... glad you're enjoying the videos!
Hi Debbie, a friend of mine has an 8 cup and a 10 cup "Brown Betty" teapot, and I want to surprise her w/ a tea cozy for Christmas. Here are the dimensions that I found on the Internet for the 8 cupper: 10.25 inches L x 7.5 inches H (with lid) x 6.5 inches W (mouth of teapot is approximately 3 inches). What would be your suggestion to cut the fabric to?
Thanks for this tutorial Debbie. I'm about to make one now - a Christmas present for a good friend. May I ask what the 'apron'-like piece is, fixed to the front of the machine. To me, it looks as if it's maybe designed to help slide the fabric upwards and feed better for sewing it. Thanks, I'd love to know! ;)
Great video. I want to make a tea cozy out of organic materials and, as a newbie, I think can easily follow your instructions. Thank you! (Now just to find my sewing machine in storage, lol!) But I'm wondering about laundering this. Mine tend to get a lot of use and a lot tea stains from a full pot. Would this repeatedly launder up just fine, as is? Or would you recommend stitching across the bottom of each open edge, or perhaps even add some stitches across each panel (like a quilt) - to hold the stuffing in place? Glue is not an option for an organic item. Thanks again!
Could have been great thanks but vague in showing which fabrics go where and attaching lining. I’ll find one to supplement ( outside to lining? Couple of close ups instead of watching needle move..thanks for try though
I loved this video and am ordering "Half Yard heaven" however i do think your audio is not as clear as it could be. Your ideas are clear but your audio is not clear.for Me. I am writing from Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA and their may be a language difference between American usage and British usage, but beyond that I recommend you upgrade your audio for more clarity.
This video does not have enough views. Great video. Easy instructions and you are a real lady. A great teacher. Thank you
