For those having trouble only getting 120hz even though your monitor is capable of 144hz. Change the settings IN your monitor using the monitor settings and make sure it will accept signals of 144hz. My refresh rate was determined by "response time" and I set to highest.

Kind of tangential thing I'm thinking about. The Magic Mouse polls at a lowly 90Hz, below a standard office mouse at 125 now, or 1000+ with higher end mice. Once they bring ProMotion to macs, they're going to have to update it at that point, surely? When screen refresh rates go above mouse polling rates is when you really can tell the sensor skips.

144 Hz is such a treat to use for general use too. I was having headache using 60 Hz after a very long time so I gave it to my brother and got back to windows gaming laptop. I will have to say Windows on a gaming laptop gives absolute best browsing experience no matter what the browserbench says. But I use linux as my daily driver because of my work and love for linux too... But that is little off for browsing compared to windows but I can deal with it. You dont get bouncy scrolling in browser on linux. @@snsnzjkt5661 That M1 chip didnt even touch 144 fps let alone can it be stabel on 120fps .... no offence but that REALLY crap
@@snsnzjkt5661 I recommend MSI, asus, lenovo ect .... do not buy macs for gameing you get terrible fps i mean crap... on Fortnite you should get easy 144 fps on high setting plus its stabel that means it doesn’t drop at all unlike this M1 chip this guy is felixing for some unknown reason
