    What do you guys think? I actually really like the "personal color" thing...a bit more accurate than just guessing out of a magazine when I was 13 😂

      i would say you would suit blues and autumn colours. but as stupid as those glasses look, you do look quite nice in them.

    Break the shoes in the material should stretch the more you were them! I wish I could have used the colour match thing when I was younger. I was part of the orange team. The concealer look good though x

    This was really fun to watch. I’ve never heard about that technology before. But I’d try it out. And I liked that color coding thing too. Although I’d describe those colors more as spring colors than summer colors because they seemed softer. But anyway really fun and interesting technology. Thanks for sharing that experiment with us 😄

    These products are pretty fascinating, but it's really cool to get such accurate measurements, especially on shoes. My size 9 feet with collapsed arches and high insteps are going to have to buy all my shoes in the States before I leave TT.TT It's already a nightmare to find shoes that fit here, I will absolutely never find shoes in Japan. There are whole styles, mostly of formal shoes, that I just don't bother with anymore because I Already Know. But it's good that you were able to find some products! Thanks for showing this.

    Okay but I love the mat 😳 So useful for foreigners in Japan! I wear EU or US sizes 👟 so I have no clue how big my feet are in cm and I know it's gonna be a problem lol Thanks for the vid, I did not know about these products! 💗

    Welp, as a US Size 13 in Mens, I can now safely assume finding shoes in Japan may be a disaster in and of itself. 😅 But nonetheless, I loved this video! See you next time, Allison! 😁

    • @Chuck8541
      @Chuck8541 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely. I found it hard to find 12.5 over there. There’s lots of stores with massive selections, but they don’t have many in stock for uncommon sizes. Same with clothes. It was brutal, and my wardrobe was suffering. Lol

    • @AllisoninTokyo
      @AllisoninTokyo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have such small feet I usually have to buy kids shoes here in UK so I'm super excited to go to Japan next year and have relatively normal feet haha. I would likely try the app for the foot size as my feet have a wide ball and narrow heel and I struggle to find good fit with shoes

    I would say that not all fashion technologies in Japan are accurate, sometimes they give a false result or just for fun.

    Are you considered tall in Japan? (what is your height?)

    • @AllisoninTokyo
      @AllisoninTokyo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes! i’m 165cm or 5’5ish 👧 on the tall side but i dont stand out too much (well just regarding height) maybe because a lot of girls wear heels here 😂

    I'm a size 12 AU ladies extra wide. I have trouble buying shoes even in Australia, so I will not be buying any. My daughter is buying joggers/sneakers tonight in Tokyo she has been there 8 days now and every day her feet are killing her she is about your size in shoes and a little larger in clothes. She did manage to buy a cardigan. Next time she might take her mother's advice. I have been trying to get her to buy quality shoes for comfort for almost a decade now, the one pair of sneakers I said she should take she left at home. Please if you are reading this and are traveling to Japan invest in a pair of quality hiking boots and a pair of joggers with good arch support, Buy them at least a month before you go or sooner and wear them around the house to mold them to your feet also make sure you are wearing thick socks made of natural fibers eg; Cotton, Bamboo, or Wool, as these let your feet breathe you can wash them in the shower and hang in room to dry also carry spare pairs of socks with you so you can change during long days. If your feet swell, you can loosen the laces and wear a thinner pair of socks. Whether your walking around cities or shrines and parks or visiting Disney parks you will be on your feet. Choosing the right foot ware can make or break your holiday, as my daughter is finding out. Soaking your feet with epson salts every day will help with swelling and aches. Let me know if this was helpful.
