I really rocked up to Sunshine City expecting to be devastated, but sometimes miracles do happen🤧 We are officially in summer here now...it's hot and I don't want to do anything!! So going to indoor malls like Sunshine City really is great (except for the crowds)

Okay sorry guys, long story short I got a cold that turned into a kind of bad ear infection and I still can't hear (about 50%) and my head is a bit whack still lol 🥲
Unforutnately I have no idea when I'll be able to hear correctly again...luckily I mostly had this vlog edited already but if there's any weird sound stuff don't @ me lol
But yeah I unfortunately won't really be able to edit or film until it's fixed again...since I...can't hear or think well and am always exhausted now 😪

Allison, your vlogs are always a pleasure to watch! My perfect escapism. I love that unlike other j-vloggers, you live the life of a normal person integrated into Japanese society, working a regular job. You show us a realistic perspective on life in Japan, and to me, that's so much more exciting than, say, Q&As about life in Japan answered by people whose only job is TH-cam in English. Don't get me wrong, I like and watch those other channels too, but nothing beats your vlogs.
As for kujis, I am absolutely mad about Black Butler and there's an ONLINE kuji for it going on right now. I HATE that because if it was a physical one, I'd send one of my friends in Japan to the next best konbini to act as my personal shopping service and buy all the tickets and give them the money for it, but with an online kuji, I don't even know if I might make them buy tickets from a bottomless pit and end up with 350 F tier prizes.
The light blue blouse you are wearing in the video is gorgeous on you. Color, model, everything. And the white dress with little flowers you bought suits you very well too.
I absolutely loved Sunshine City for shopping! Ikebukoro as a whole was a nice area to walk around
In North America, our version of Sylvanian Families is Calico Critters. They look pretty much the same, so not sure if it’s the same manufacturer just a different name here.
It is. I came here to say this after I double checked. I recognized them immediately. Michael’s Stores still carry them.

While visiting, I really appreciated how Ikebukuro has it's own very unique identity, but feels more relaxed than Shibuya, affordable and almost retro vibes in some areas. It isn't as crazy there, plus FYI Tonchin ramen has the best miso I have ever had. I just wish my hotel (Hotel Metropolitan) didn't smell so old and smoky inside my room, it bothered me so much I had to go back to my prior Ginza hotel. But got to explore Ikebukuro for 3 days while waiting for the new hotel room to open up. I could see Ikebukuro becoming more popular each yeah, it just doesn't have the fancy new skyscrapers of Shibuya but damn, there is a lot packed in there! The Muscle Girls bar is over there too, but I couldn't go or get a reservation.

Colds seem to be affecting us with full force cause the last time I had one it didn't go away completely and gave me a sinus infection. Couldn't hear well or taste for about a week and only got better after the antibiotics were almost done 🥲Feel you on that one.

Very lucky with the lottery, well done 🍀 Last time I bought a Sylvanian house at the outlet in Odaiba and had to haul it back to the hotel near Akihabara so I really understand the pain of having such a big item to carry on the metro 😅

Im currently in Japan (first time and by myself) and I just did a dragon ball ichibankuji and I had a mission - the A prize. I pulled five tickets each place I went (let's keep how many times a secret) but at the last place I GOT THE A PRIZE :D which was very lucky cause there was only one left. I clapped and kinda squealed but with a true Japanese like spirit. Just an FYI I'm from Denmark.

I think what you mean to say about Zelda merch and other "boy" oriented anime is that the illustrations of women are super "booby!" And also, the women's skirts are super short and are always on the verge of flying up and showing their underwear. That's why I don't enjoy so much of anime/manga. The drawings of women are kinda gross, and it skeeves me out. I get/understand that they are created as fantasy vehicles for guys, but I wish there was more where the women are not depicted in an oversexualized way.
