I just found this product prior to seeing your video - ordered one for run / gun real estate work. I have a suspicion it's more than adequate - which makes me wonder why there are so few reviews or videos in general mentioning this compact, travel friendly little design...The fact that it's in its third iteration would make you think that it found some success within the company line to justify further R&D into its design and production...thanks for posting
Thanks. Everything iFootage makes is outstanding. By far, this is the best of three different steadycams I own 👊. Heck, I even like using it more than my Zhiyun gimbal
I bought this unit but I have one concern. The unit is high quality except the handle and the gimbal are attached by a small 2mm thick plastic piece. It seems strange that the entire unit is high quality yet, at the most vulnerable point it is held together by 2mm of plastic. In my opinion this is a break waiting to happen. Perhaps not on day one, but I can easily see within a year that piece snapping and my FX3 crashing to the ground. I checked out Glidecams and they have a much more robost construction.
No problems on my end with either the Laing H5 or the Wildcat III and I've used them for years during field shoots. I even put extra weights on my Wildcat III and use it with my BMPCC4K rigged out. I don't see any plastic parts. My FlyCam had plastic parts, I got rid of it
FYI the plastic piece on the Wildcat I am referring to is the handle...if you take a look you will see that it is connect to the gimbal by a thin 2mm piece of plastic...
The Laing H5 is more compact but needs a lighter setup. I topped it out with a GH4 and GH5 with 16mm cine lens. The Wildcat, with some added weights, works really well with my BMPCC4K and up to Olympus Pro 12-100
It's always a pleasure to watch one of your videos Gregg. You're so genuine and not at all gimmicky, it's refreshing.
Aww, thanks for that kind and uplifting comment. So nice. I really appreciate that you took the time to share that ❤️☺️

@@GreggMcLachlan Thanks...I am sure it will hold up...but as you can imagine that little connection does not inspire a lot of confidence...

@@GreggMcLachlan which do you prefer the Wildcat or the Laing...I wanted the Laing but it seems like it is discontinued
