One thing I might add is that I believe that the unit uses ATT's EDGE network to retrieve data from Google, etc. I just purchased one of these units so I'm not entirely sure yet, but once I get it I will confirm if it's ATT (my assumption) or possibly T-Mobile providing the data.

it sucks newer garmin now ditch the audio out to connect to your car speaker. Speakers through the stand alone garmin speaker is never loud enough.
are map updates free? or only firmware updates are free?
