Hello! I am a sophomore in AP art class. First I want to let you know that your artworks are STUNNING. They helped and inspired me a lot! And I want to know what app/program you used for the digital paintings! Thank you :D
I'd say around 12 I started more seriously trying to improve, and at 15 decided to pursue it professionally. I think attending precollege courses(I went to VCU, RISD, and MICA) over the summer were notably significant moments of growth for me. All in all, good teachers and hard work are all you really need.
All of them were beneficial in different ways, to be honest... A lot of it had to do with my age/level of experience at the time during each respective Pre-College, as that differed a LOT year by year. It's hard for me to compare, but as long as you put in effort and heart, you will definitely grow as an artist! It mostly depends on the environment you personally feel you would work best in(rigor, city, etc.)
Sorry for the late response! The concentration was centered around being American born Chinese, and the split cultural identity that comes along with it. They are contortionist(esque) hybrids of the eastern and astral zodiacs.
It was mostly just how I wanted to spend my time and energy senior year, haha. It seemed like the most productive thing to do for myself at the time, and I don't regret it at all!
I know these videos are supposed to inspire people but I can't help but get stressed out about my AP portfolio D': *Also did you typically use reference photos for most of these*
Your art is sooo beautiful! I am honestly in love! I wish u would post more :(
Thank you!

at what age did you start drawing and do you have any resources that really helped you along your journey?

Which pre college would you say was the most beneficial?

That's so cool!!!! Thanks for sharing your work with us :D! Are you going to Art school or nah?
Thanks! I'm currently attending Rhode Island School of Design.
Why did you do two portfolios?
It was mostly just how I wanted to spend my time and energy senior year, haha. It seemed like the most productive thing to do for myself at the time, and I don't regret it at all!
How could you enter both a Drawing and a 2D Design portfolio in the same year? That is not allowed.
Apparently it is.
I submitting both this year as well. Maybe in your school its not

Hey! Sorry for the super late response. I notoriously rely on reference for pretty much everything I draw, ha!
