I felt your warning about the cinnamon... a while ago, we had a problem with mosquitos in the house, I couldn't go out to get proper stuff, so I had to use what I had on-hand, and a google search told me that they can be repelled by the scents of lavender, peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus, and I forget what else. I had bottles of oils I had gotten for making candles, and thought "a little in a cup by my bed should work." and it did, to a degree. they would still bite my feet though. I had nowhere to stick a cup by the foot of the bed where it wouldn't either spill or be ineffective, so I had an idea. Putting a drop or two on the backs of my hands, neck, and the tops of my feet. First night: lavender oil. seemed to work well. used that for a few days... then I decided to try it with *peppermint oil.* it hurt and burned _quite a bit._ *ESPECIALLY so* on delicate areas like the back of the neck. I'm glad I didn't try cinnamon oil, because it's listed too as a scent mosquitos hate.

They also tried to say that you could make spun sugar by spinning melted caramel using a mixer. Which btw, don't do this. You will end up with hospital room grade burns.

Fun story: as a kid, my sister bought a few bars of this really nice smelling cinnamon soap from a friend's mom. I wound up in a pediatric hospital because, after using the soap, I had burns in places that required ointment because my skin was sensitive. It was not pleasant.

This was the video that started my journey of watching Royalty soaps for the past year. Thank you your content brightens my day every time I see a new video
CreoleFaerie It’s honestly better not to risk it. Worst case scenario is that it will _literally_ burn your skin, leaving what could potentially be permanent marks
@@raerohan4241 that is only if your skin is EXTREMELY sensitive. If it isn't, cinnamon increases blood circulation, exfoliates the skin, and shrinks pores which is good for your skin. Just exercise proper precaution and test it out on your hands first and look for any reactions. There is no one size fits all to skin care. Everyone is different so what is important is figuring out what works for you. I use cinnamon soap on my face regularly and I don't have any problems. It makes my mom break out. She uses charcoal cleanser which if i use makes my face scaley like a shedding snake. I know ppl that use sugar scrubs and that makes me break out. Projecting your skins preferences on others is not good because we need to acknowledge allergies, skin textures, oil secretions, skin conditions, etc.
Like many of you, I have no earthly idea how I got here.....I don't care about creating soap at all, I don't even use bar soap, but I sat here and watched this whole video beginning to end
Last year I made melt and pour soaps for Christmas gifts. You’re right some things work and many DON’T!! I am so excited to get started after Christmas to start making my own soap from your tutorials. Thank you so much!
Aloe vera gel comes from the inside of the leaf only, and the outside of the leaf contains an irritant chemical (the yellow color when they blended). what a lovely soap they made...
“Who do they think they’re fooling?!” 😂 that’s the worst part, they know they’re fooling kids. I saw one the other day that showed if your bra is falling down, HOT GLUE IT TO YOURSELF
What I learned from this: • Don't add bio ingredients (as in real flowers, food, plants, spices ...), use artificial scents, dyes, and decorations instead. • Patience is key to nice homemade soap • Ask/seek professional guidance first before even trying. • Don't try soap hacks without researching it first. • This is a cool channel, I'm gonna hang out here for a while.
Why is the dislike ratio so high? She's right. Don't lie to yourselves, we all know deep down that 5 minute crafts is just arts and craft scams but just as a video.
@fae mostly the subs from the 5 min craft and blossem are disliking prob because the person is telling everyine how its fake/wont work. Also the youtube algorithms uses dislike bots (and like bots but only for vids with alot of dislikes) for vids with alot of likes are dislikes to keep it more or less balanced

One problem with the cinnamon is that usually it's not even cinnamon, it's cassia. Casia can be even worse as far as allergic reactions and irritation.
I remember doing this like 4 years ago, it puffed up but it certainly didn’t look like a fluffy cloud haha. It also smells HORRIBLE! I do not recommend. I used whatever soap bar I had so it was probably bad chemical stuff lol...
Maybe try them following the video's steps, then contrast that with another batch where you use the steps you know will work to get the final product they're claiming.
in addition on that jar you can literally see small splashes of unmixed green colouring... that is just sad. Besides the point how did such bland green turn into juicy green colour afterwards :V
As a former child care worker, I'd be worried about small children trying to eat the cinnamon bun soap, an 18 month old doesn't know the difference between soap and a cinnamon bun. Just as there were small children eating Tide pods at first because they didn't put them into the proper container. Some parents might not think to keep them hidden from children. A glass jar is great for company, but not for small children.
As a teacher, mother, grandmother & great grandmother, you are another voice of sanity. Kid's put EVERYTHING in their mouths. I can even see my 9 y/o trying to reason that if I eat cinnamon in French toast, cookie's recipe etc. How can it be harmful in my soap

Cinnamon can burn your skin

It’s the same with Ann Readon (a food scientist) from how to cook that
This was the video that started my journey of watching Royalty soaps for the past year.
Thank you your content brightens my day every time I see a new video
The biggest thing I learned from this video:
*NO CINNAMON*
It honestly depends on how sensitive your skin is
CreoleFaerie It’s honestly better not to risk it.

5 minutes crafts sucks
yeah, one thing I do from that channel is just crafting like recycling cardboard and others, not this kind of things
What I learned from this:
• Don't add bio ingredients (as in real flowers, food, plants, spices ...), use artificial scents, dyes, and decorations instead.
• Patience is key to nice homemade soap
• Ask/seek professional guidance first before even trying.
• Don't try soap hacks without researching it first.

@CatsmamaThe problem with eating the tide pods were idiot teenagers, it just didn't translate will in the commercials when they advised their new 'child safety zip' parents don't tend to like it when you talk then their teenagers are idiots
Okay, but not everything has to be child safe.
