I was an early adopter of the low kick sticks back in the S19 days all the way up through the warrior low kick sticks, and honestly, the new mid kick sticks actually feel better for stick handling and shooting all round than some of the low kick sticks on the market these days.
So many players at all levels that use mid/hybrid sticks and love them, but I keep preferring everything else to them, honestly. Hated the Nexus Geo, don’t like the FT6 Pro, and just went back to using my old Flylite, Trigger 8 or AS4 Pro instead.
does not really make sense. The Nexus Tracer is a midkickpoint stick and the Twitch is a lowkickpoint stick. It would make more sense to compare the Twitch to the Hyperlite and the Tracer to the Proto.
@@fk9120they already did that in the video and also he literally said that kickpoint does not matter because the tracer has a better release then low kickpoint sticks
Also, for me, kick point really matters. I had Ccm jetspeed team sticks and I absolutely despised that hybrid kick point compared to the nexus 2n mid kick. Typically I love a mid kick, to really load up my go to drag and pull wrist shot. And again, which blade out there is the softest on the market and which are close runner ups??
Great review..... Should follow up with a ranking video of these sticks.... And perhaps make a 2nd ranking for people who do take more slap and snap shots
Still like the QR6 pro as my top choice but like he said the tracer is extremely nice especially for Bauer , I usually hate their sticks and protective gear, but I still like the feel better on the warrior and the release is just as good if not slightly better to me then the tracer
I still think kick point really matters as a two way d /power forward and just a big guy i like the hybrid because i can get the power and the quickness
I’m trying to buy a new stick. What top end sticks out there has the softest blade??? Having such a hard time finding out what is what in terms of soft blades. And stick handling on plastic at the store just isnt the same as getting a stick on the ice to really see. Can you guys help out?

Is there such thing as a fake hockey stick market like knock off handbags. But hockey sticks. There’s a video on TH-cam of someone trying to show the differences between a retail and knocked Bauer Proto R Please help I’m starting to wonder if my sticks are fake
one day if it's possible can u make a vid about custom stick curves and which curves excel at what . Like the custom curves 'Prostockhockeysticks' make for example the Pro29-Laine pro curve or the Ovi pro curve.
People who don't care about kick points are lunatics, you have to find what works for you. If not, you're not using equipment efficiently to your advantage. I can't use anything other than a mid-kick stick
@@dennispick Switched to Sherwood sticks over a year ago and haven't looked back. I tried the new Code Encrypt 1, prefer the old Code TMP 1. Currently using the Rekker Legend 1. The shaft and release is awesome. It runs stiffer then offer brands so go down 5-10 flex and let the stick do the rest.
I’m going to throw in my thoughts on the new sticks they’ve all released. All of them are being manufactured with this new helicoid blade, it’s shit. It’s great for puck feel, it’s soft. But they go bad after a couple months and a few games. They are designed for pros who care about puck feel more than durability. Most manufacturers have switched to this blade because of how light it is, that’s all they care about, lightness over durability. If you aren’t a pro player and getting these sticks for free, don’t buy them lol. You’re just gonna end up getting a new one every few months. 😂

agreed, stick handeling with these low kick sticks almost feels like its flexing while your simply dribbling let alone catching passes and stuff
@@mike72ulyas Couldn't agree more
Completely agree, mid kicks are the best.

Great comparison. Can you please review the Bauer Twitch vs Tracer?

Didn't expect the trigger 9 pro to lose that badly
No point of listening to this guy, he has 0 technique and can barely skate. Try the sticks yourself, personal preference.
It sucks. I wish I broke mines in the 30 days of warranty I had.
and Sherwood Legend has a dual kick, It is not clear if it is low or medium, and Encrypt is medium-low, all is blurred
Can you do a full video on just the hyperlite 2 vs tracers pls
My tracer went soft man in in like 1,5months😢
What blade pattern do you use/prefer for the Tracer?

I definitely care about kick points. Ever since I've gone to mid kick I don't think I'll ever go back to low, just my two cents.
Looking forward to the Twitch vs Tracer review! 😊
mid and hybrid are the same now. but trigger vs ft is completely different shooting
New proto r vs new tracer? Which is Tommy taking?
Has the ft7 gone soft yet? Have a proto rn and i think it might break soon and i want a more durrable top line stick.
I have tried the ft7 pro and loved it but i held the tracer and i loved how whippy it is which one do you think i should get
going to buy either ft7 pro or tracer tomorrow; not sure which yet.
Now we need to see the new Twitch!

Nexus Tracer over the FT7 Pro!?
Kick point is very important!

No Sherwood Code Encrypt?
Was wondering the same. The Sherwood code encrypt is probably better than any stick on this list tbh. Haha
