The Rex Zero 1 is a fine firearm, extremely reliable and very well made. The Rex is as capable as any of the auto-loader handguns I own, including Glocks, SIG's, and Springfield Armory. Wish I hadn't seen your video on this Eric, it doesn't change my opinion on the Rex, but it does change what I thought about your channel.
I’ve been watching your channel for years and this vid seemed so off. I’ve never cared for this gun nor the Sig, but you guys are seriously on a good one. I don’t know who’s paying your channel to say what but this vid was clearly bias. Saying the most asinine things about the gun like “it is what it is”and “your mileage may vary”. What a weird Opinion and Vid on this gun.
This is the reason: it is copy of Zastava CS99, CZ999 and EZ9, but much more expencive pistol, for no reason. Who want's cosmetic shit on his gun he should buy this overpriced gun.
You're not a fan, Eric? You've shot that better than the last 5 Glocks you've reviewed. Other than it hitting "slightly right" and the large grip, you haven't said one legitimate reason why you're not a fan.
This is exactly my problem with this video. He’s complaining the whole time about “accuracy” but he’s hitting pretty much everything he shoots at first shot. Worst part is when he goes for the long range shots and hits most all of them on target and says “mhm not bad” in a disappointed tone.
Guess Arex didn’t pay the “positive review premium”. The gun is accurate and reliable. The slide stop doesn’t work well? It’s locked back on the last round every time. I’m no fan boy, I don’t own one nor do I plan on getting one, but I don’t see a subpar gun at all. Looks like the guys are bitter about something and don’t see they’re shooting better with this than they do their beloved Glocks.
Says the guy who's name calling. Sorry I offended you. I'll try to be more aware of how sensitive you are in my future thoughts. I'm sure Eric and Chad are so glad you're here to defend their honor. It takes a hero, champ.
Aiming 3/4 of upper plate to hit at 75 .... He is hitting to hit not From the guns inherited accuracy... With that being said when the SIG gets warm brand new it throws for a bit sold mine than got a police trade In broken in hard and that kids shoots really nice lol personally that Rex needs the spring sat and another 300+ through it or its going to be a SIG clone that shoots crap until break in ..
Love you guys. Enough to patreon $20 a month, but I am a bit confused by the negative bias you seam to have before even firing the first shot. The gun shot awesome for Eric dispite not liking the ergos. You guys almost seemed annoyed by just doing the video. Just didn't feel like a normal objective review from you guys. Regardless, keep up the good content. Look forward to the next video.
Or they were feeling like they needed to prove they are "objective" with all the talk and rumor that they're paid to give good reviews... And went a little overboard trying to compensate.
MAC themselves say not to take their tests as the be all end all. I'm sure anyone of us can think of a time where we bought something that worked flawlessly while others had their exact same item fail completely (and vise versa). While by no means invalade, I would not make any blanket statements about the quality of a product based on a sample size of 1.
+Dragonslayer2014 links? Every video I have seen they have been pretty flawless. The Ginger Gun Hobbit over at TFB pissed a bit, but mostly just couldn't manipulate the slide drop with his hobbit thumbs.
Great video and good shooting. In my life I’ve shot over 50,000 rds, with an array of weapons as I was in the Marine Corps for over 26 years. I have an Arex compact in my stable and let me tell you this is a great weapon for me and one if not one of best shooters for me. Keep up the good work.
agreed his whole body language, tone of voice is like he was pissed off about something, and for whatever reason it got taken out of on the poor pistol... or that he just has some built up bias he doesn't want to shake?
Haha I've never seen you guys so negative about a gun before I don't think. Certainly a negative vibe through the whole video which is a little strange for you fellers. I would also like to point out you seemed to shoot this pistol a lot better than some of the others you seem to really like, I mean neither of you missed much at all with that thing...just saying
At 8:26 he mentioned if it’s have the price of a Sig…and it is. He was shooting the pistol fine, I’m wondering if he is extending his dislike of his 226 to this pistol.
I got that too, maybe they wanted to show that they can do a negative review and tried too hard? Either way, I’m sure they were being honest. Patrick from the fire arm rack said some not so great things about it too.
+fakecubed It's not trolling if it's based on evidence. IV888 does or at least did take money for reviews. Maybe AREX just didn't offer him any money, so the review had a negative bias.
Fired 7 different Rex Zero pistols. 4 Zero 1's and 3 compacts. All fired great, no issues, no aim drift after heating up on any of them. Weirdest review ever from IV8888.
To each their own, but when I see a Sig 226 take the abuse these dang Arex one's have, and keep ticking? And sell for half the price? Sorry Eric, IDK what it did to offend you, but this is one of the best metal frame pistols on the market today.
No CZ has beaten the Arex in reliability tests. CZ is good because they have lots of aftermarket parts, in fact, I would buy a CZ (p10c) after this. But this is definitely one of the best if not the best on the market IMO.
Seemed like Eric had an opinion set in stone before the first shots. Sort of disappointing when you expect to watch a review and instead hear someone bashing a gun before they've ever shot it.
My 226 is my main side arm. I almost pulled "trigger" few weeks ago on this Rex Zero1 had I not picked up Agency Arms G17. Let's put it this way. If you are 6' + and average size and 226 feels great in your hands, this Rex Zero 1 is DEFINITE Upgrade from 226.. This is on my next purchase list.
Seems pretty biased, especially with how they have had other pistols out in other videos that they called "great guns" after having issues with malfunctions.
I just picked up a Rex Zero 1T because I found one for a steal, and I’m here to tell you guys, it’s EASILY the most accurate handgun I’ve ever owned. Quality wise, it’s on par with the Sigs I’ve shot, and as we’ve all seen, the Arex is proven to be more reliable. I absolutely love it! Fits my hand great, and it’s nice to have the Ambidextrous features that a 226 doesn’t have.
MAC has probably covered this gun more than any other reviewer and gun channel on TH-cam. No I don't think Arex paid him to review it but he loves the crap outta that thing. I believe he even carried it for some time. But you seem to be very negative about it because....it seems like a Sig copy? That's really the only thing I got from this review Eric. You don't like it because it's too similar to another gun that you don't like. A bit unfair honestly. Not everyone is going to like the same thing but you had the wrong attitude right out of the gate with it.
I was dead set on buying a legion 226 as my next gun so like everything else I jumped on here to do some research and I’m glad I did cheapest 226 I could find out the door was right around $1200 enter the Rex zero 1t which I purchased brand new for $630 out the door. It’s got a threaded barrel raised sights for suppressors or co witness it’s got a 20 rd magazine ambi safety and mag release and it comes optic ready with all the plates you need and multiple different color options and that’s basically Everything a sig can’t do out of the box. Not to mention torched it in a couple torture tests I’ve seen. The grips and trigger can be remedied with aftermarket parts. I’m not a sig loyalist so it was a pretty easy decision to make especially with all the features I felt like the only reasons I could find to buy the brand name recognition the trigger and the look not extremely important to me when buying a firearm. If you watch the tours of the arex facility they are modern and top notch I think these are here to stay
I get the feeling that we saw all the positive reviews out there for this pistol and somebody said "I guess we need to make a negative video!" haha I actually agree with most of what was said, but I feel like the negativity was a little too strong here.
Or they were feeling like they needed to prove they are "objective" with all the talk and rumor that they're paid to give good reviews... And went a little overboard trying to compensate.
I own a Arex Rex Zero 1 and absolutely love it. It performs just as good as my SIGs. This seems like they can shoot pretty good groups but blame the gun when they miss lol
You have to be the only ones that hate this gun. I'v seen a lot of reviews on this gun, but nothing like this. You could hear from the start that nothing was going to be good about it. For you two this gun shoots all over the place, high low right left but never around the last shot. It has to be that all the others testing this gun don't shoot near as great as you two , or something to do with not being paid enough .
Veran Kapaun Believe it or not TheYankeeMarshal also dislikes the gun. While many compare it to a Sig P226 there are differences. For one is why have a manual safety on a gun when it has a decocker. The double action trigger is more than heavy enough to engage and fire the weapon incidentally or accidentally. Must be on there because of importation reasons. FYI I do not own this or a Sig P226 so I don’t have a dog in this fight but if it was my money I would go for a used Sig before this because of the manual safety on the Arex. The gun doesn’t need it.
Not sure about this one guys. Absolutely love all your videos, but def a different attitude from the start of this one? But it's all good still my favorite channel. Look forward to the next. And if you hate the gun your entitled to that opinion lol just didn't seem like yourselves. Take care guys
Upon reading the comments I must say that I agree with the majority. I feel as you guys made this video just to please the fans due to the popularity or demand that the gun had. Specially when other guns channels made this gun popular. Basically, “Let’s just make this video and get it over with” kind of attitude.
i could see you didnt like the gun even before you began to shoot, i hope you put the same effort and and motivation that you put on your paid reviews than on this one that is obviously not a paid one.
You can tell when it's a paid review because Eric will mention they're just "having some fun here" a million times and will excuse any issue on account of they're "just having fun". Did I mention they're just having a little bit of fun here? Before I forget, they're just having fun, or was it that they were just having a bit of fun here? I can't remember, but what I do remember is they're just having a little fun.
Wasn't it you who said the 226 should've been the gun that won the army contract over the beretta? Or was that military arms? Also, this gun passed the gauntlet testing flawlessly over at MAC and surpassed the p226 mark 25 and the legion p226. So...
The sig p226 has earned it's stellar reputation by actual real world success in war, LE, and self defense situations since 1983.. The Rex is a half cocked slovanian copy that's not even close to a real Sig.. Putting the two side by side makes you wonder how anyone would waste their money when Real Sigs are available at nearly the same price..
ShitFromShinola is right. This does not compare to a Sig and the real world resume it holds. The torture test done by MAC is not scientific and not even practical. It is just fun. There was also a sample set of 1. The rex is a small fad that will quickly fade. The P226 is here forever and will always be considered one of the best duty/war 9mm pistols. That being said, the Rex does look cool, but it should since its a complete copy off of the 226. (other than a few small changes)
I own one and I found myself really disagreeing with your (Eric) cons. However, most of those come down to personal preference and you (Eric) made it clear that you aren't a fan of the Sig P series style of handguns. I'm not mad that you're not a fan of it. Not everyone is going to like the same things. Chad calling it "less than subpar" was dumb though.
Lex, I agree. The grip is a little Big for my taste. We are going to give it a second look I think just for the heck of it. The reason I make videos like this is so people can see how things go. Sometimes when we check something out we might have already had several hundred rounds through it (we normally say we’ve shot it a good bit before) but in this case we wanted to grab it out the box and just have at it. The gun is well made. It’s priced reasonably. It’s certainly accurate enough for defensive work. That being said I’m not a fan. Me personally...being one person.
This gun was the only gun to pass the Gauntlet on The Military Arms Channel. In my opinion thats highly impressive. Glock, Sig, all of them didn’t make it completely through. And the price is really nice. Now some people think the gauntlet test is stupid and not super consistent but you still cant deny this pistol did make it.
I think its more of the feud between them and channels like Military Arms Channel now... Tim loves this thing... So they hate it... It is what it is today I guess
JettyDeke - I hadn’t considered that. BTW, I just have a surface knowledge of this feud. I’m aware of Tim’s position on the NRA. I am also quite aware of how Tim can be vindictive to people who still support the NRA. I know less about the feud between the gun channels. Who started it?
Its kinda being fueled by TheYankieMarshall more or less but he keeps pointing out that these guys support the NRA and do "paid reviews" Where Tim buys his own stuff. Well I've heard Tim complain about money before while buying 2000 and 3000 dollar guns so how is that explained... They're all in the business of entertaining and making money. As for their advocacy Tim has a no give stance. Me idc about bump fire stocks but I care about fostech echo tirggers. I care about sbrs and suppressors not full auto rifles so I agree with parts of everyone. I just wish these guys would realize there are differences in personalities and just get over it.
Just like my views on .50 cal. I like them and have shot them but I'll probably personally never get to own one.. Just like a full auto firearm but who am I or who is the Govt to say someone else cant own one but if I can get SBR's and Suppressors deregulated at the cost of giving up full auto weapons then I am personally okay with that where others wouldn't be. I'd rather it all be deregulated but I'll chip away and take by the rights I can get just like they chipped away and took away the rights we once had.
This is the first video I disliked of yours. Sorry but you came to the table with a lot of unfounded presuppositions based off of the Sig. though the quality of the review was good the review alone was not due to the inherent bias you projected on the gun. If you don't like how the gun shoots that's fine but next time maybe don't be too quick to think a Hudson will shoot the same as a 1911 just because they look similar.
The manufacturing of this gun is given more TLC the sig in my opinion. Check out the factory tour of it. Will give you alot more appreciation for what it is. Some could argue it's better than the sig.
This gun is actually Slovenian version (made under some sort of licence) of Serbian Zastava CZ99 (CZ999 and EZ9) handgun. And yes, Serbian (Zastava) CZ 99 gun is some sort of combination of Sig 226 and Walther P88, but has some own unique features. Design is from 1989, well proved in the service, very reliable handgun. Cons: bulky and heavy.
100% agree. I would only add that it served on all sides during the numerous Balkan Wars of the 90s and early 2000s. Given the duration and intensity of these conflicts, it has probably seen more combat, then the P226.
MrLongboarder87 Sig has never had a gun go off after some one dropped it. All the videos show someone hitting the back of the slide like ten times to just get the striker to finally release.
Let’s think about this a little. If the gun was fine Sig wouldn’t have fixed it. The trigger shoe was way to heavy and the drop safety didn’t work right. When you are trying to get a military contract and time is short you cut corners and don’t spend as much time on r&d. It’s cheaper to pay off lawsuits and fix guns then to miss the biggest contract Sig has ever gotten.
This is the first of your videos I hated enough to give a thumbs down. Stop talking about the fucking 226. I get that you don't like the 226. You're not shooting a Sig. If you're going to complain about a gun that's stacking rounds on top of eachother and functions perfectly but won't elaborate on what the problem is, it's pretty hard to take you seriously. Why even make the video?
thing is.. it didn't need a break in, and no one else reviewing them "broke them in". The gun was hitting what they shot and was 100% reliable. Yet they basically treated it WORSE then they did the Hi Point.
+Andrew Krolikowsky Um...no, because that has no relevance to the quality of the weapon? So... what... does that have to do with... anything of import? So is it because it's made in a "new country" so they can't possibly make anything good? Is it cuz they were commies? Please explain.
Yes I bought Zero 1 compact & I love it & I'm a Fort Bragg veteran but like everyone else wonder why the reviewer comes off like a hater but hits every shot just about!
Mrgunsngear Channel Why did you have to say that? I have 229’s and a Legion 226 SAO, but I’m considering buying the Compact Rex. You’re an enabler...lol
"THeenragedone: You sir are an idiot.." No I am not. Normally I would pick your whole post apart, but since you were kind enough to invalidate your entire argument by by insulting me, I do not have to. Thank you for wasting your own time, and making me laugh while doing it. Cheers. :)
I thought I’d hate it because all the TH-cam warriors love glocks and other striker fired guns. Then I fired it. I love DA/SA in metal frames. I’ll take the extra weight. I just don’t enjoy striker/ plastic guns. I always felt weird because I really tried to like glocks-and can’t
Been a fan and subscriber forever, that being said, you guys should listen to the feedback you're getting on this review. It's a pretty clear concensus that this review was unduly biased. Inherent inaccuracy doesn't present as horizontal stringing for one shooter and vertical for another, you both clearly know that so why theatrics? If you both dislike a gun but it performs well, just say it performed well. Also a mention that you're feeding it the worst possible ammo and it ate it all without so much as a hiccup would have been nice.
I had to stop watching your video. In contrast with other pistols you have reviewed it’s clear and obvious that you were not there with an open mind. Biased A.F. In other videos you would shoot faster and say you will shoot for fun. Well, be the same and give the pistol a fair review. And yes it’s you with the problem.
Noticed it too very different video seemed to shit talk the gun instead of actually saying it outperforms many guns in. Certain tests. Oh it strung some may be the ammo wHich is the usual suspect
The butthurt is really strong in the comments section. Seriously grow up. We don’t have to say good things about every gun we get a hold of. I didn’t like it. Not crazy about the SIG 226 or 220. I get crucified for saying something bad, I get crucified for saying something good. I don’t even own my own opinion anymore.
Well John I care because I work for my viewers. So if I’m somehow missing the mark I want to make it right. But at what cost? Me being dishonest? I can’t win. People can’t handle the truth...lol. This is a gun I thought would merit a look because all the people giving it rave reviews. So one guy doesn’t like it. OMG it’s the END of the WORLD
Iraqveteran8888 like a majority of the comments on here...i have to agree that the 2 of you seemed to have your mind made up before you even pulled the trigger. Then proceeded to shoot only to confirm your negativity. Have whatever opinion you want...but it came through on video to most of us that you were lookin down on it from the get go. And with the bein paid to do reviews stuff...makes it seem a little suspect. I have to admit youve lost a bit of credibility in my mind...probably others as well, which also influences the comments.
I love how when he was in the saddle it hit in the same spot every time but the moment he came off he started having issues. Sounds like someone is a shit shot.
There was a lot of predisposed hate towards this gun. All I saw was flawless reliability and excellent (better than your normal videos) accuracy. Serious tinge of hate over this video. The gun was even described as sub-par. I'd take this over a plastic glock any day of the week. Ever see those frames flex? Beats the reliability too....the gun performs perfectly and yet it is probably the only gun you guys have disliked for no real reason. I have no vested interest in the gun (I don't even own one) but the strange attitude towards the gun is odd
had Sig 226, it failed every second mag of shooting, traded for Glock 34, less failures, but still no good, traded for CZ P-09, no failures so far, and this Rex may be similar to Sig, but looks reliable way more then Sig, for me Sig is good looking but not reliable, Sig simply socks...I would definitely buy Rex to get my personal experience with its reliability, this review shows no failures - it speaks for itself...
I'm just gonna go ahead and say that I'm almost 100% certain that those flyers were not the gun's fault and that it was either shooter error or the ammo. The fact that Eric didn't have any vertical flyers like Chad did shows us that there was a difference in shooting between the two people, not a consistent issue with the gun. Eric was printing to the right most of the time and Chad was able to hold his groups to the center (both shooters had flyers) the fact that Eric's groups were printing right makes sense that he would have flyers off to the right. Chad's groups were more center so his flyers were either going to go up or down. Seems like you guys just had to get a little more used to the gun. Maybe the grips were too big for YOU to shoot it more accurately. So I'm sticking with that your issues were from shooter error (more likely since Chad holds a better center on his groups than Eric) or it was inconsistent ammo.
It's absolutely a copy. they are at least 95% the same. You cant deny that Arex got their inspiration from Sig. You also cant deny that there's P226 schematics all over Arex's manufacturing plant
Never saw you swab a barrel on a new gun before. 4130 chromemolly steel is different than other steels. You must use a lube to mate with the internal oils within the barrel by shooting some to cause an equal distribution of the inherent internal oils within the barrel itself or dry or oily areas develop causing uneven temps. I'm no doubt of you boys having much more knowledge of firearms than myself but Mac,Soouth, & 4 or 5 other notable marksmen totally don't agree with you except about safety's. The majority of shooters aren't experts. I like safety's, because I'm not an expert. if I was of your two's caliber I wouldn't like safety's either. One other thing I'll add is about being different, one shoots right of target & the other shoots center is not a reasonable test of a pistols accuracy. AS you two shoot together, hunt, & hang out together you'll either shoot alike or trade off on habits. Not all guns are coated in storage grease. I'm retired but saving for an Arex right now. I'm glad I saw your' video last, I'm no longer subscribed.
It's an "improved" or updated 226 at a great deal less money than Sig. Honestly, this has become my second favorite DA/SA pistol that I own after the P30. Awesome little guns for the type and money.
I will agree that ambi-safeties are annoying and makes it that much wider than a 226, but thats preference, also i hear the double action is much heavier than SIG. but while the sig is stylistically prettier, that torture test on military arms channel broke my heart, the Rex blew it out of the water and thats all a guns job is: to work.
guitaoist the competition hammer spring will lighten the pull greatly and hopefully they come out with a medium spring that's in between the stock and hammer spring
I'm gonna start by saying I love the videos I watch them when they come out or say right when they come out and also I dnt even own one of these guns nor do I own a 226 but it kinda seems to me is your taking your bias thoughts towards the 226 of not being a fan of it and really pushing that against this gun and I really wasn't a fan of it and from everything I have seen on the guns it's a home run and it's really like you just portrayed your feelings towards the 226 upon this gun and made for a very negative feeling video and I'm just trying to put out there what I saw and it seemed to me so anyways thanks for what y'all do and I'm a fan just try and not be so bias sometimes please and I kno it's hard not to but anyways thanks
SportyGermanGuy yea I just feel even though you may be bias on something dnt let it bleed threw to effect how you look at something totally different , but everyone has there own opinion . That's what's great about this wonderful country , we can disagree and people should be ok with that but unfortunately this great country holds some absolute morons that hides behind the keyboard and think they can insult and cut down people for no reason . Anyways rant over sorry about that , if you have a opinion express it without trying to be a dick other wise you just loose that person your trying to get threw to because then there just gonna be frustrated .
Lmao i love how one person mentions punctuation and thats all anyone comments about..if u cant figure out what he was saying then thats your own problem. Unless you use an i phone very few people actually go out of their way to punctuate EVERYTHING..
The gun is also alot better made man, and a little simpler with the Decocker and Slide release being a combo unit. Versus the sig where it is two separate assemblies. It's not the gun for me either personally. But i can appreciate it's value in the market place objectively.
Close to a Sig 226 price point are you insane? I got my Rex Zero-1 from GunBroker for $550.00 bucks. I'll give you the bitch about the safety, that's fair... I too had the same bitch, I think it would have been better if they would have omitted the safety... it feels a bit soft and would like it to be a bit more positive in its resistance. That said, this is a solid firearm, especially given it's price point... You get a high quality, highly reliable handgun, that eats any ammo your feed it and it out performs the actual Sig 226 in the field, not just a range toy. This thing will take the elements and keep firing, the Sig... not so much... (check out the MAC gauntlet tests for the ARex Zero-1 vs. Sig 226 Legion). I normally agree with you, but with this one, since I have the gun and know what a great gun this is, I have to now second guess what you guys are saying... all I can say, is as a fan, I am disappointed and I now take your content with a grain of salt... :(
First guy bitches about groups to the right , sways side to side while shooting. The second guy bitches about groups high or low , sways front to back while shooting. Plus the trigger is much better than many Sig's I've owned ... Any actually.
You’s need to get a different one or its human error. This gun is excellent and only half the price of the SIG. but you can tell you’s are not SIG or SIG type fans. This gun is accurate as hell and you can do anything to this firearm and it just keeps running
Don’t compare this gun to the sig. just because the sig is made round and smooth doesn’t make it a good gun. This gun is one of the most reliable apart from a Glock maybe. Plus its almost half the price of a sig. and yes! I own one of these
Maybe he should've taken a look at the gauntlet test done by MAC (Military Arms Channel) before making this video. After watching the gauntlet I would by far trust this pistol over a sig.
As you consistently hit targets you two complain about a pistol with factory backed THIRTY THOUSAND ROUND, Lifetime Warranty ? Half price of P226, as accurate or better as reliable or better and Tim (MAC) ran 1k rounds through his Rex flawlessly in 15 minutes. Are you seriously such Glock fanboys, I am really shocked at the negative attitude right from the start of this video. I have to wonder same as others comments as to the validity of your reviews, or as if you are paid mouthpieces
Your right .the trigger guard it very large..just means when you run out of ammo you can beat someone to death with the trigger gaurd. I have a ww2 1911 that was passed down from family that was used in ww2 and I have never had a problem with it unless I oiled it way too much so I think I'll stick to my 1911. I would love to see a torture test of 1000 rounds on this gun and see how she does. You didn't say much about the trigger pull or maybe I missed that part of the video. In defense of the gun you were able to hit the far targets really consistanley. Honestly I think yall are judging this gun a little too quick. The gun hasn't even been broking in yet and your expecting it to run like a seasoned glock pistal or something. I don't think yall gave this handgun a fair review because you didn't do a break-in or fire it enough to get a fair review. I don't own one of these guns but that's just my observations of the video. As far as I'm concerned I would take reliability over accuracy any day of the week and this gun seems to go bang every time. What is the price of this gun. I don't think you said anything about it???
Sorry, couldn't hear the complaints over the steel ringing.
Joseph Waddell 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Eric also gets lippy at Chad for not loading mags in quite rude fashion.
This thing got a worse review than the Robar customized, malfunctioning Browning Hi-Power...weird. Seriously, worst review yet.
This is not a fair review....it sounds more like: don’t buy this. For no reason.
Not true. He said "Dont buy this, because it looks similar to a sig 226"
@@weird5967 it only looks like a sig. It lacks what the sig has" decocker".
@@Aznmf I own one, and I can assure you that it absolutely does have a decocker.
Nunya Fkn-Bzniss do ya like it mate? I’m considering to buy the compact model
Didn't realise everybody has to like what you like.
There is someone pissed off because he wasnt invited to slovenia...
Herr Novak comment winner ^^
I'd say, you're right on the money !
Or they were feeling like they needed to prove they are "objective" with all the talk and rumor that they're paid to give good reviews... And went a little overboard trying to compensate.
Wish I could get one here in California. Just have to settle for my potica and krajnska klobasa
Agree
Calls Arex blocky in the hand . . . Likes Glock . . .
lol damn these legos
Facts lol
Saarn1823 🤣
Yep...
$10 says it goes back on the shelf as brand new
Robert Reynolds it definitely will.
At moss, yes. I'm sure it did.
MAC (military arms channel) has an extensive review of this firearm, and side by side P226 comparison!
rjonzen34 ... and the gauntlet test showed this pistol to be pretty unstoppable. Nothing’s beaten it yet.
The long track record of the Sig speaks loudly over this knock off.....
+Dragonslayer2014 links? Every video I have seen they have been pretty flawless. The Ginger Gun Hobbit over at TFB pissed a bit, but mostly just couldn't manipulate the slide drop with his hobbit thumbs.
+Harley Sig and Sig USA have not proven to be one and the same in that, sorry. As a big fan and owner of a swiss made p220.
Is it just me or is Eric pissed off?
Trenton Goering I thought so too
agreed his whole body language, tone of voice is like he was pissed off about something, and for whatever reason it got taken out of on the poor pistol... or that he just has some built up bias he doesn't want to shake?
yup. been noticing that for awhile.
killerpeaches7 What are you talking about?
watch the video. If it ain't obvious to you, well, can't help you. Tons of people in the comments are picking up on it and commenting on it.
Must not have been a paid review
He really wanted to hate this gun haha
Cory Pope he was trying so hard while contradicting himself that he wasnt. 😂🤣😂🤣
Best qoute was, "i hate the 226 but i have one."
this gun is inaccurate *dong dong dong* and unreliable *feeds 100%* it's garbage! Yup.. n bias, lol...
True stuff hahahahahah you just can't hate Slovenian guns hahahhaha
@@anzehribernik4592 its a really good gun.sloveni made the first gun very solid
Haha I've never seen you guys so negative about a gun before I don't think. Certainly a negative vibe through the whole video which is a little strange for you fellers. I would also like to point out you seemed to shoot this pistol a lot better than some of the others you seem to really like, I mean neither of you missed much at all with that thing...just saying
It's way cheaper than a 226 and much more reliable.
May be cheaper Not more reliable they both are reliable Pistol
@@RabbiTosmiser in a test by the military arms channel side by side of the sig 226 the arex zero 1 was more reliable.
At 8:26 he mentioned if it’s have the price of a Sig…and it is. He was shooting the pistol fine, I’m wondering if he is extending his dislike of his 226 to this pistol.
I personally own an arex and love it. I haven’t found a single problem with it. It shoots great and haven’t had a malfunction in the year I’ve had it.
Funny when you blame the misses on the gun.
Seemed like a pretty biased review. Had a negative stigma from it from the get go.
Guitar Shredder agreed. Every other gun channel has good things to say. Seems like he wanted to hate it immediately
And yet the same trolls are here accusing Eric of taking money to give it a great review.
Guitar Shredder I agree 💯%!!!!!!!!
Go to the Military Arms Channel and watch Tim's torture test of the Rex 01 and the 226 it may sway your opinion on the quality of this firearm
Sorry Eric, IDK what it did to offend you, but this is one of the best metal frame pistols on the market today.
cool story. Totally unsubstantiated bullshit, but hey, cool story. Stay ignorant my friend!
No CZ has beaten the Arex in reliability tests. CZ is good because they have lots of aftermarket parts, in fact, I would buy a CZ (p10c) after this. But this is definitely one of the best if not the best on the market IMO.
E Rid...for a small country...it is A DAMN GOOD PISTOL.
MAC did a video n sent 1k rounds through this gun in 14 minutes and it's fine with NO malfunctioning
"not shooting terribly inaccurate" youre shooting it better than 90% of the other pistols you review on this channel
Way to go into it unbiasedly... or didn't get paid enough?
709Medicinal lol
Seemed like Eric had an opinion set in stone before the first shots. Sort of disappointing when you expect to watch a review and instead hear someone bashing a gun before they've ever shot it.
My 226 is my main side arm. I almost pulled "trigger" few weeks ago on this Rex Zero1 had I not picked up Agency Arms G17. Let's put it this way. If you are 6' + and average size and 226 feels great in your hands, this Rex Zero 1 is DEFINITE Upgrade from 226.. This is on my next purchase list.
P226 is not a bad gun it’s one of the best
Seems pretty biased, especially with how they have had other pistols out in other videos that they called "great guns" after having issues with malfunctions.
I just picked up a Rex Zero 1T because I found one for a steal, and I’m here to tell you guys, it’s EASILY the most accurate handgun I’ve ever owned. Quality wise, it’s on par with the Sigs I’ve shot, and as we’ve all seen, the Arex is proven to be more reliable. I absolutely love it! Fits my hand great, and it’s nice to have the Ambidextrous features that a 226 doesn’t have.
I miss Barry.
MAC got a free trip the factory and all of this gun that's getting paid but not getting paid lol
quite a bit AFTER his review and torture test. Oops.
@@shortymeller55 did the dirt sign a contract with the Arex and not Sig during his torture test..wonder how much the mud asked for from Arex..$$.. 😂🤔
I bought this gun after MAC's review... I LOVE IT!
This review came across strange.
Kevin Niven very weird 🤔
True...
Not one missed shot, not one malfunction, and half the price of a 226. Eric-"ya I just don't like it"
I was dead set on buying a legion 226 as my next gun so like everything else I jumped on here to do some research and I’m glad I did cheapest 226 I could find out the door was right around $1200 enter the Rex zero 1t which I purchased brand new for $630 out the door.
These guys are mad they weren't invited to the AREX factory tour.
Ikr getting so sick of hearing this p226 bandwagon
Veran Kapaun I think it suck too, and I ain't getting paid. What's your point?
Trigger Happy i own one and it s the best gun i own.
The gun doesn’t need it.
they are outstanding
"i don't like the trigger guard" sir, that's a military pistol, designed to be used with tactical gloves, just like h&k mk.23
So...
Juice Jay..... ODD how there is very little commentary on this subject..... ppl can be such cool aid drinking sheep at times.
ShitFromShinola ??? This gun is based on the 226. If the 226 was a success this one will be as well. MAC tested it. It smoked the Sigs.
There is nothing scientific about the gauntlet test.. too many variables..
Lex Harris Chad really didn’t have anything to say. Missed an opportunity to keep his
Mouth shout.
This review seems not very objective. Sort of like both reviewers were having their period at the same time and just having a darn bad day.
JettyDeke - Very well explained! I agree. Thnx!
Are you related to the Mccoy and hatfields? Noticed yur last name, and its not a common one.
I'm with you, this too is the first video I've disliked from these guys... sad. :/
@monsterman as far as I'm aware this side of my family is not
My wifes family is.
I would imagine all the Blankenships are some how related.
You can tell they were shooting that gun pissed off! Almost like they had to review it without getting any kickbacks lol
Predrag Miletic yep its a proven design not some new clone like everyone thinks. I have the full size with Hogue grips it's awesome
100% agree. I would only add that it served on all sides during the numerous Balkan Wars of the 90s and early 2000s. Given the duration and intensity of these conflicts, it has probably seen more combat, then the P226.
It’s definitely heavy but it shoots really well
H'mmm that 'review' didn't do Moss Pawn & Gun any favors, now did it ?
Reg Sparkes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
More reliable than a Sig for half the price? count me in.
More reliable than Sig??? Let’s see the long track record like the Sig has.
MrLongboarder87 Sig has never had a gun go off after some one dropped it. All the videos show someone hitting the back of the slide like ten times to just get the striker to finally release.
Yes, Sig has had one go off. The P320 issue became known when a cop got shot when his gun dropped.
Locutus494 No, that incident could not be confirmed. Sig investigated the incident and it could not be confirmed by Sig or the agency.
The slide stop being so hard to engage is so you don't run your thumb up and accidentally lock the slide back while firing
Kellen David Englert break in seems to be forgotten but that's their opinions every gun has quirks not every Gun is liked by all
thing is.. it didn't need a break in, and no one else reviewing them "broke them in".
Yes I bought Zero 1 compact & I love it & I'm a Fort Bragg veteran but like everyone else wonder why the reviewer comes off like a hater but hits every shot just about!
thanks for the report. Personally I'd probably take one over a P226 for use. For value/coolness the 226 wins
CZ P-01 FTW.
Have you seen the Sig P365 yet? Any thoughts?
Mrgunsngear Channel
Why did you have to say that? I have 229’s and a Legion 226 SAO, but I’m considering buying the Compact Rex. You’re an enabler...lol
The SIG P226 is not a better gun, and does not have the level of reliability the Arex has.
"THeenragedone: You sir are an idiot.."
No I am not. Normally I would pick your whole post apart, but since you were kind enough to invalidate your entire argument by by insulting me, I do not have to. Thank you for wasting your own time, and making me laugh while doing it. Cheers. :)
Every other review I've seen with this gun is love at first sight!
"The gun is printing slightly to the right." ....And proceedes to take out all soda bottles. LOL! Seriously though, they're great guns.
I saw it on the Military Arms Channel and it beat the Sig in his Gauntlet test bad.
Some people don't know a good thing when they see it is the moral of this video! that gun shot better than they could ! Lol
*Biased*
This. Well said.
Maybe the "check" didn't come in the mail for a glowing review!
Noticed it too very different video seemed to shit talk the gun instead of actually saying it outperforms many guns in. Certain tests. Oh it strung some may be the ammo wHich is the usual suspect
Only video I have watch about this arex Rex zero 1 gun, that they are complaining about the accuracy but still hitting the target.
Seems like a bloody good gun to me.
Matt, people can believe what they want. I’m an honest person and I’ve never changed what I’m doing on here. It is what it is
I bought it, Shot it, but just hoping I'm not regretting it.
It's a vocal minority. The silent majority have liked your video.
Also check out the factory tour I got respect for them and the pride that goes into these pistols.
I love how when he was in the saddle it hit in the same spot every time but the moment he came off he started having issues. Sounds like someone is a shit shot.
I own the gun and it's built strong and accurate. Love it.
I just bought one and paid $588,thats half what a 226 costs.
had Sig 226, it failed every second mag of shooting, traded for Glock 34, less failures, but still no good, traded for CZ P-09, no failures so far, and this Rex may be similar to Sig, but looks reliable way more then Sig, for me Sig is good looking but not reliable, Sig simply socks...I would definitely buy Rex to get my personal experience with its reliability, this review shows no failures - it speaks for itself...
Too long for a first look, too uninformed and not enough experience for a review
Everyone always underestimates Slovenians 🇸🇮
Fuck no, its not a 226 copy
Own both and you are correct side by side big difference
They are pretty similar but it‘s far from a copy
It's absolutely a copy. they are at least 95% the same. You cant deny that Arex got their inspiration from Sig. You also cant deny that there's P226 schematics all over Arex's manufacturing plant
no they are not
Lol ok
Awesome little guns for the type and money.
y'all got baby hands. i have a sig p226, neck and neck but i kinda dig the arex controls more.
J. Rob. lol ok brother thanks 👌🏻
Dan and the Boys wow, now that's a sentence!
100% agree ... this video was just annoying. Gun shoot flawless and accurate, but this guys just whine all the time ...
Serious attitude problem.
“I mean if it was like half the price of a Sig...”
Homework is hard!
The gun is also alot better made man, and a little simpler with the Decocker and Slide release being a combo unit. Versus the sig where it is two separate assemblies. It's not the gun for me either personally. But i can appreciate it's value in the market place objectively.
MAC kinda showed in a couple videos why not to buy the 226 over the Rex Zero 1.. The Zero 1 blew the sig out of the water.
Mac had some issues with that winchester steal cased stuff
MAC loved this gun, the gun beat the gauntlet better than the Glock did, and it's roughly the same price too.
Glad to see the Skinny Medic hat! :-)
SkinnyMedic arent u sooch son?
Don’t compare this gun to the sig. just because the sig is made round and smooth doesn’t make it a good gun.
This gun is one of the most reliable apart from a Glock maybe. Plus its almost half the price of a sig. and yes! I own one of these
This gun is inaccurate… proceeds to hit each target and has no failures
Maybe he should've taken a look at the gauntlet test done by MAC (Military Arms Channel) before making this video. After watching the gauntlet I would by far trust this pistol over a sig.
This gun crushed MAC's torture test.
The Rex slaps sig with reliability tho
As you consistently hit targets you two complain about a pistol with factory backed THIRTY THOUSAND ROUND, Lifetime Warranty ? Half price of P226, as accurate or better as reliable or better and Tim (MAC) ran 1k rounds through his Rex flawlessly in 15 minutes. Are you seriously such Glock fanboys, I am really shocked at the negative attitude right from the start of this video. I have to wonder same as others comments as to the validity of your reviews, or as if you are paid mouthpieces
Dunhams has these on sale for 429.99 till end of the month here in Michigan thinking about picking one up
Watch the military arms channel side by side torture test this vs the 226 and you'll stop comparing Arex to sig trash.
