  • Hey guys, so some people ask me what line of work I’m in. And ask if I’m a personal trainer since I post workout videos a lot. But I’m not a CPT. I am a branch 2 field representative for general pest control. Check out my day to day grind! Haha enjoy!

I work in pest control and it's the best job I've worked at so far, on the road alot of the day, not stuck in one building for 8 to 12 hours and just generally a fun job but can have weeks that are very slow and some that overwhelming but you can adapt and figure out time management. People who need work really need to look at getting into pest control.

Yeah I love the industry because we get to help people, work with great clients, we are in a different location every day. And you have to be able to think on your feet and solve problems.

I was a field tech for Pirtek for 5 years (hydraulic hoses) and an equipment mechanic for one. Got laid off a couple weeks ago and been applying to different jobs like mechanic, apprentice electrician, apprentice plumber, etc. just got a Glassdoor notice about Aptive hiring. I never considered pest control and don’t know much about it. What is it you like? Dislike? What kind of pay do they typically start at and what do the average ones make after a few years? Like I said, never even considered this field until 2 hours ago.

razberryclownsac hey what’s going on, thanks for leaving a comment and watching. I like pest control because I get to help solve people’s problems...pest problems. I get to make connections with clients. I get to see a different scene each day. I like talking pest control stories with coworkers. I like thinking of new ways to serve and putting them into action. Just like any industry you have to work your way up. Your salary is always in direct correlation with the value you bring.

    • @JakeNaughtFromStateFarm

Austin Clevenger that does sound frustrating. What can you do to improve the work environment?
I just recommend keeping a positive outlook on work and life. Control what you can. We can’t control what happens but we can control ourselves and how we react to what happens.
As far as pest control, I enjoy my work. Been doing it for 11 years.
