Mel Shot is S tier and probably the best PvP elite for ranger, the most well rounded. Partially low cooldown, cheap, fast shooting and strong effect (potentially applying two conditions and doing damage). You won't find a better elite for most PvP scenarios. Keep in mind how cheap it is, compared to Burning, Magebane or Crippling shots that make automatically your build heavier and two of those are easily rupted.
Damn you're right. In that case, I'd move it up to... C, more adrenaline for your team is awesome. Warriors are very common in pve, no point helping them out. Thanks for pointing this out
I'll comment (PvE use) on some select Ranger elites.... Expertise: Expert's Dexterity (C-Tier) - Solid vanilla elite when no other is needed. Recharge should sync with duration at ~12 pts. Glass Arrows (F-Tier) - Bleeding should be unconditional and adjacent. Basically, it needs to be more bar compression. Practiced Stance (C-Tier) - Mostly used for short duration preparations (e.g. Choling Gas), but it's also an energy management and slight DPS skill. Beast Mastery: Strike as One (B-Tier) - Likely my least used line in the game. This is the elite I slot when I do. Marksmanship: Barrage (S-Tier) - +Damage even solid vs. a single target. Too good really. Broad Head Arrow (D-Tier) - 15e, 15s recharge is expensive with a relatively high chance to miss. Burning Arrow (S-Tier) - High +damage, burning lasts recharge. Melandru's Shot (D-Tier) - "If moving" isn't reliable in PvE. Better if bleeding and crippled were unconditional with some moderate +damage for bar compression. Prepared Shot (A-Tier) - +Damage and energy management. Could use either a buff in recharge or +damage. Punishing Shot (A-Tier) - Rupts anything every 5s with some +damage. Wilderness Survival: Incendiary Arrows (D-Tier) - 3s burning should be at 10 (or 11) pts rather than 12. Could lower recharge from 5s instead. No +damage. Missed potential. Poison Arrow (E-Tier) - Better options for poison. No +damage.
@@NovaBushido At 12 pts, Glass Arrows offers +17 damage with perhaps unwanted bleeding and you will want to better counter blocking anyway. Non-elite +damage alternatives at 12 pts: Expert Focus gives +8 damage and reduces energy costs of attack sills by 2e Ignite Arrows gives +15 aoe fire damage Kindle Arrows gives +20 fire damage Read the Wind gives +9 damage and reduces misses
@@NovaBushido I'll comment on a few more Ranger elites.... Expertise: Archer's Signet (F-Tier) - Only dazed and burning tend to be shorter duration conditions. Just no strong synergies on a self-contained Ranger build. Escape (F-Tier) - ~50% uptime blocking not worth the elite. Add increased attack speed, change to miss, and missed attacks hit a nearby foe. Infuriating Heat (F-Tier) - Mostly only buffs warriors and paragons in the party, but it can be leveraged when foes use. Marksman's Wager (E-Tier) - Never use, wouldn't trust on a hero. Would consider to counter Quicksand. Oath Shor (E-Tier) - Never use but can envision some niche use. Trapper's Focus (E-Tier) - Should be a stance, am elite version of Trapper's Speed.
@@NovaBushido I was more thinking Just Eye Of North Norn, Dwarf, Asura Skills PVE. As these are not class resisted. Not Elite. Sorry My Comment could be interputed to a silly amount of work. I've seen such hour+ videos and can't keep focus.
Bro i appreciate your work , love the Game. Keep up the content!
Thanks for saying that man! I'll keep doing Guild wars content as long as there's people who are excited about the game!

Good point, for PvP that is super strong, it's only 5 energy and the cooldown is pretty low, so keeping that pressure up shouldn't be a problem.
Melandru's Resilience was famous for W/R Totem Axe farm :) Still works to this day!
Infuriating Heat doubles adrenaline. I think you may have misread that skill.

Assassin and Mesmer would be nice to see aswell even with less experience
Okay! I'll get on that and you'll probably see it in a week or two.

We seem to have a lot in common on this one apart from Glass Arrow, Good idea on the bleed, it isn't great, but the extra damage is a lot.

I'd like your opinion on all classes, Elite Skills. I have not seen a tier list on PVE skills, Maybe an idea for you to consider?..
Hmm all classes elite skills in one list? That's quite the task. I'll think about what I can do there.
