Great video...but where is the lady from mic check? :/
Really nice video, I'm looking at all your reviews... I have to buy some PC gaming headphones that don't cost too much and that necessarily connect via USB and not 3.5 mm jack. Should I buy 'BlackShark V2 x' or 'corsair hs65' ?
for anyone who wants to buy this, there is a problem with this headset where screen captures have a static tick. Whatever I did, it would not fix the static tick until I plugged in another headset. I looked it up online and saw that there are more people with the blackshark v2 with the same problem. No solutions as of yet, so if you are in the streaming business or want to screen capture on medal, even screensharing on discord, people will hear a very annoying audible sound
Can i change the airpads?
I was thinking of buying them lately and you saved me🙏🙏🙏
i bought them and its all good
what did you buy instead and is it better?
What why?
@@fatcj9298 do they have noise cancellation? im looking for decent budget gaming (noise cancellation) headphones and im not sure if this is the one to get
does this headset works on windows 11? coz the surround sound 7.1 said only works in windows 10 x64 in the website description
it works, but software is buggy..
Are the oval earpieces large enough (front to rear) to comfortably encompass ones ears without sitting on the ears?
Yeah the headphones are designed to completely be around your ears to create a seal so no noise can get in. It won’t be on your ear at all it’s gonna be around/over, like cupping them.
@@kenobi52 that's good. Quite a few over-the-ear headphones I have tried, often the cup size is small and they end up sitting on the ear. Even some that claim to be noise canceling.
I HVE POINTY EARS so when i heard you say that i was sold THX bro
Did you get it and how's the mic sound is it decent?
On console there is alot of distortion on sounding Like a robot when talking to friends..any clue
refferal link in the beginning itself shows the video will be positive. so the suspence tittle is cleared
Good gaming headphones.
Playing Apex Legends with this headphones on Xbox One I could listen better to the sound of footsteps direction vs PS4 and PS5 on same game.
Is the microphone detachable?
No
No it’s not sadly, but it’s still good for such a cheap headset
non-detachable cable means it's going to stop working after 4 months
I have this headset. 11/10 for me. I can hear footsteps like from far away with windows sonic spatial sound on. When i put this on, my first impression is it feels tight. It completely muffled any noise around you.
Just don't use razer 7.1. most of the games like valorant, r6s, etc have their own 7.1 surround sound.
My friend also told me my mic was so good and i told them I am using this headset.
What do you recommend for general use, razer 7.1 surround sound or window spatial sound? I have one arrive next week
@@datnld I recommend the spatial sound. It sound much better and seems like using almost the full potential of the headset.
You don't buy this because of 7.1. what makes this unique headset is that it makes surround sound much more immersive and enjoyable compared to others.
Only use 7.1 if the game has their own like valorant. Just don't use the razer 7.1. Also i recommend to buy the usb if you are a pc gamer, you won't regret it unlike 3.5mm which encounter problems.
@@Franz0804 thank you so much my man. I bought the usb cable version. Seems like I chose the right one 🤣 Definitely gonna test on your recs.
Have a good week ahead!
Did you already have it? Speaking of build quality, it feels expensive in the head. You can feel the difference of this gaming headphones compared to generic or $20 Headsets.
@@Franz0804 It will arrive in the mailbox on Tuesday, I think. Ye I do trust Razer about the build quality because I did own Razer mid-end products before. They didn't disappoint me xD Look forward to trying the headset too.
Thank you my man!
Yall on here saying it’s trash… it’s fr $40… I bought this for my fiancé bc they have it in pink
gaymer
@Dr😂
PepperCooled4090
why are the wires so long omg? 😭
If your want to compare sound quality, go grab the industry standard Sony MDR-7506s for the most balanced and neutral sounding headphones. Then compare those to these.
To me, this headset is missing so many frequencies and the audio is muffled.
You're comparing a gaming headset to a studio headset. Your judgement is a little bit redundant no?
And just to add more, if you want real quality but not to the point you're wasting too much money, I'd recommend the HD560's instead. For people who enjoy much peakier and bassier stuff I'd recommend you the DT770 Pros (80 ohms)
Keep in mind these are only for music, his recommendation of the 7506's is pretty useless mainly cause the pair only sounds great on MUSIC not games
I still stand by my first comment. The audio quality is horrible. I play World of Tanks. Everything was muffled as if someone put a pillow between the headset and my ears. There wasn't any clarity to the sound.
Andrew Scheps exclusively uses the MDR-7506s for mixing music in his studio because of he can hear the mistakes in the audio much better using these headphones.
You won't find any studio without them as they are industry standard for audio quality.
@GTSongwriter are you using razer 7.1 because it is terrible
i have ben asking no one said does the usb one have more option then the 3.5mm
thats what im wondering too
yeah there’s a usb one
7.1 surround sound works better with usb
i don't know if take this or the Logitech G432... the price is similar, i read on some comparison that logitech has a better sound but the design of this razer is 10 - 0 compared to Logitech for me... Im very undecided
holy shit the g432 looks bad...
I'd recommend the MSI DS502. The mic is horrible on the Blackshark. I was very disapointed after buying them.
hello ple i just bought this headset and i figured out that the right hear dont work plz if you can help me thank you
return it
return it
i wondered why black shark sounded fimilier, also ka-50 better than apache
rocket rushing without tail goes hard lol
is it on ear or over ear?
over ear
@@big_jill7541 its listed as on ear on amazon so in confused and nothing is mentioned on razer website
i'm acually just order it, it's even cheaper in vietnam, it's less than 50$ , very nice
1:11 yes
V2x or cloud stinger 2
v2x trust
V2x
What about the black shark v2?
both are similar if ur on budget get v2x
Is it compatible with Xbox’s?
only the 3.5 version
The mic is horrible on pc with the splitter cable. I am not sure if it's good using a sound card but I'm sure many reviewers use a sound card and will end up plugging it into the sound card and probably not noticing this issue.
does it capture in-game sounds?
It works better with a sound card
@@NSA_01 pls tell me its worth it to buy cuz i dont have a lot of money and i just want to make sure
@@glennsalvane9172 if you don't have a sound card, don't buy, I yad to use this one

The mic is way better than the blackshark V2 X without a sound card too
@@glennsalvane9172 its pretty worth it to buy but you should probably test it out for yourself first in case you are gonna return it
The dude clearly doesn't have any idea about helicopters. Ka-52 is better in most categories.
what do i need to connect them to PS4 pro???
Isn’t it the controller? And there is a connector it to disconnect the pc mode for laptop/console
Is the mic removable or at least can it be swung up and away from the face?
As for 7.1 surround, I have to image that this is only with the USB version, as the headphone jacks only handle stereo, UNLESS it's one of those jacks with several loops/connections. If it is, that could possibly cause a problem with what I need.
If anyone has these as well as Logitech G935 or even the cheaper, Logitech G430, is the sound on the Razer more or less equivalent to either of those?
Thanks in advance for any info.
You cannot remove the mic, but the mic is flexible and you can bend it upwards, the problem is when you do that too much, it begins to loosen, meaning if it's bent towards your mouth, it forms an angle and I'll fall , forcing you to keep the wire straight to avoid it falling
For 7.1 surround sound, I just use Sonar steelseries, it has a ton of adjustments like ai noise cancellation and it can even auto record your games , it comes with pre configs for many games and you can make yours, each profile has option to turn on surround sound for that game
Not worth it! I bought it and it's absolutely garbage!
You get muffled sounds and no clarity.
I understand it's a gaming headset, but music absolutely tells you this headset is cutting out a lot of frequencies!
All your team players sound like they are talking thru a pillow!
Is it this USB ver or the analog jack one?
@@rodelpalmes4395 already gave it back to Bestbuy. It was the 3.5mm jack.
I don't want to get a headset that requires software to use. My current off brand Amazon headset sounds tons better and cost half the price!
@@rodelpalmes4395 Analog. I hooked it up to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface. Focusrite products are Studio Quality and way better than my laptop audio. I have a pair of Sony 7506s (The Audio Studio Industry Standard that everyone uses for reference).
The Razer Blackshark V2 X is definitely missing a lot of frequencies. I don't think the USB version could help this system! I've put it on a expensive studio quality Interface which is way better than any USB hooked into a computer. It's the headset speakers themselves that's messed up.
😂😂
@@rodelpalmes4395 I seriously don't think the USB will fix the speakers in the headset! It was analog hooked into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio Interface ( which has extreme audio quality ).
You forgot the mic test 😮
joke?

One thing you didn't the mention, and that is very important. And that is the mic quality. I just bought this and I cannot make the mic work. It's too quiet. I have tried everything. And you just need to google that to see how many people have the same issue and that it isn't an issue with me personally. I do NOT recommend. The sound is good. The comfort is good. The noise isolation is good. But the mic is absolute trash. If you don't need a mic. I guess it's okay to buy this. But any headset on that price range has all of the that AND a good mic to boot.

@@Meow-im7pu that's the first thing I tried. The mic is just the worst quality out there. Any other cheap headset can't be worse. But thanks anyway mate
Why does it sound so compressed
If you're talking about the mic some just sound like that. The mic on the Blackshark v2 Pro 2023 though is what I believe to be the best on the market at 200 USD
just bought them for 14 euros lol
i brought mine last week and it cost 159$
this one is the v2 x. You probably have a different one.
V2 X doesn't come with a USB, 😅
Hell no I'm returning mine as we speak
why??
@@WasiLovesAllah the bass is ass no good
@@Powerful26Beatss Damn, thank you for letting me know I was about to order one
@@WasiLovesAllah no problem bro like I said the bass are not good on them you just gonna have to get the expensive ones like I did 😭
@@Powerful26Beatss which ones you got??
1st!
The sound is very disappointing. Poor review.
i had for less than 24 hours and returned...they are so so trash. Audio quality so unbelievably bad....games sound bad, music sounds bad. Do not buy these
What should i buy instead of these then.
@@LassiBoy69 i swapped for the arctis nova 3....they were on sale for $60. night/day difference in overall quality. The razer has almost an under water sound quality to them, muddy, if you will. even with the EQ i couldnt get anything decent. Mic sound fairly bad too, plus not removable/retractable. so super annoying
I have 1 and I will disagree
@@olusegunbelcon yep i bought it anyways they are just good
sounds like a software or hardware issue because it works fine for me
