Just a suggestion, but why not just post what ever you feel like? You seem to enjoy music and instruments. Just talk about some of the stuff you use for content creation. Just because you used to make one kind of content. Doesn't mean you can't branch out to other topics. Variety is the spice of life after all. Hell just do a vlog about a day in your life.
Nothing wrong with trying to find yourself and see where you fit in this youtube space. I'll be here watching and seeing what you come up with. Hell I'm down to hear about your music or music equipment and such. Just do you man and we will be here!
I'm on the MSRP or die train. It may be a small war but I'm kind of hoping if enough gamers get together and boycott this shit eventually the companies will take some notice and do more to prevent the cards being sold off by the hundreds to miners and scalpers.
I started my PC build journey on this Channel. I've learned so much here. I followed this Channel for over 8 years and I never want to see it go. I have such a soft spot for this Channel and I'm excited to see what it turns into.
Back during the 1080ti days I paid 1000 dollars for a reference card plus another 200 for a waterblock....my point being is that ky jelley should be packed in with every card.
In 2017, I got a SanDisk 32GB MicroSD and an MSI DUKE GTX 1080 for $462.97. The prices are still too high, I will use a GTX1080 until it dies or can't play games and then stop playing PC game unless the prices get right. Playing games on a PC is not required, I won't pay stupid prices for entertainment.
It's only a matter of time if you're patient enough. Just hold out a few more months and inventory will be a lot more abundant. Prices have been nosediving over the last couple of months forcing scalpers to liquidate their haul at lower prices.
I've always loved your videos. The pain cylinder "something to believe in" benchmark song is still the coolest set of benchmark videos in existence. Been watching your videos since around 2010. I'd love to hear you talk about the 90's and early 2000's pc experiences and Lan parties. What you were doing then. I think you have a pretty loyal community so we got your back no matter what
Elric great to see you still posting content buddy! I check in every few years to make sure you're still with us. Glad to see that you're still here and keeping up the good fight. I remember a few years back you had lost a foot. Appreciate you bringing awareness to diabetes. You've got a great channel and you do great work. Keep it up!
Thats why i love Indie games! but i get you Elric its all chewed up and spat out again! And im sticking to my old computer system its great at 1080p and i dont need the newest stuff all the time! maybe every 6 years or so! Stay Safe bro!
I believe prices in India will never be as affordable as american prices. Already we were paying more than necessary, and now it's just an absurd amount. Anyways always good to see you Elric ! Nice tune in the beginning :)
A big part will be that Etherium goes to Proof of Stake. Most Videocards were used to hash ETH, but since that is not worth it anymore/ will be gone, the graphics card mining will decline further. Bitcoin is usually mined with special hardware, not graphics cards since its very inefficient on those
Yep, and the "some other mining" worry mentioned in the video won't be factor for the foreseeable future, once ETH finally does go PoS. ETH has a massive market cap compared to all other GPU minable coins combined. All of those coins would need to 50x just to sustain the current level of GPU mining.
I just bought a 3060 KO OC for $599 Canadian I still feel sick to my stomach and it hasn't even arrived yet the prices are high and the dollar can't be worth shit and 30 minutes later it was out of stock this crazy i have an old radeon 290x i have been waiting for 2 years to buy a gpu i will remember it all my life ...im french sorry for my english
I'm kind of with you on this one Elric, nowadays I really only play games for story. I think that improving gameplay is a lot more about refinement nowadays, so it really comes down to the story. If the story isn't compelling or driving, I'm not going to pay more than $15 - $30 for a game. Sadly it feels like the game industry has moved significantly faster into what the movie industry is currently.... repeats with better visuals.
Well they have been showing up here in Canada at "decent " prices. Still high though but because I was able to use my old parts to build a 4770k, 1080 ti and 16gb 1866 DDR3 PC and sell it for 800 dollars I was able to get a rtx 3080 12gb for a acceptable price with that money.
I know EVGA had a wait list. I was on it, my number finally got called but I got the email too late (found it in the spam folder) - they only give you 20 hours to complete the transaction. Anyway, as soon as the waitlist opens again, I'll jump back in line. Disappointed they won't even let me join a queue. Oh well, perhaps once 4000 or 5000 series comes out, I'll get a card. The pressure is off since I got a MBP M1 Max - I'm moving my video editing work to that and I have a decent card for the occasional gaming I do on my PC. I'm considering building a home lab server, and thankfully that only needs a basic video card that basically no one wants since it only needs to drive a 4k monitor (no gaming).
I'm perfectly happy to blast about Forza horizon 5 and project cars with my 3080 TI STRIX. The gaming is my diversion from the stress of the world. I managed to get said card for 1199 when the price dropped for a few hours at microcenter. I do worry that the 40 series is going to be a vicious cycle of mining hell again, and we're in a magic window.
I got lucky two weeks ago and got a 3080ti Founders Edition at Best Buy for MSRP. I got lucky and bought the card even though I was actually looking for the the regular 3080 Founders Edition. I don’t think that finding an AIB card new at MSRP is very realistic because the Nvidia card is stripped down by comparison. The AIB cards have Rgb, more fans, more over lockable, better memory and tolerances and standard power connectors and run cooler. I think if you can get a card for 50-150 over the MSRP and you need a card, buy the card. We are looking at a possible recession according to one Dutch bank. I think the GPU market will get somewhat flooded because, I don’t see the 4000 series or 7000 series, which in Nvidia case will require a new power supply (at the highend)coming out on time. Manufacturers want cards in the market so if it takes longer to solve problems with the 7000 and 4000 series and maybe work on power efficiency in the case of Nvidia with the 4000 series, they don’t loose money and people have cards until then. At present information with Nvidia you will with the 4000 series be buying a GPU and power supply, which will cost you more in the long run because most had proper power supplies for the 3000 and 6000 series. Nvidia also doesn’t come out with low end cards first, they release highend first. These new cards aren’t going to be cheap and Nvidia and Amd might not come out with a MSRP. With the Economy, Covid-19 and the uncertainty of Bitcoin until Proof of Stake comes, I say get a card if you need one and the price is right for you. If you can wait, wait, but don’t expect a new 3070ti, 3080ti or 3090 to be 500 dollars. My point is there are too many uncertainties coming to predict this market and with inflation, what you can afford today, might not be what you can afford tomorrow.
I built a wee entry level 12400f, 610 board and 6600XT. It's really great. I've been told that 610 dosnt support pci express 4 but it does for graphics card and told it dosnr support dual channel, well it does. I'm doing 3200 C14 and default cooler is working fine. Cheap, fast as heck.

I had some money saved up recently and needed a new video card to replace my R9 290X. And I said " screw it, now I have the cash so I'll try and get something ". So I bought an RTX 3070 non Ti. I know I've payed around 1000$ way more than it's original price. But I just had the chance and money to do that recently. And I just hope I've not made a bad choice. Because i just think that you can always wait for the next new hardware release. But at some point you just have draw the line and shoot for something. And I hope I've hit alright. Any opinions and criticisms are welcome :) haha
Nope now is not the time. The time is the week when Nvidia releases their new gen gpus with their ridiculous msrp which'll never happen. That week stupid people will start selling their rtx 3080s for 500-800 dollars because the Jacket man will announce that there's an rtx 4070 that outperforms 3080 for just 600 dollars and stupid people will go crazy, just buy any graphics card at that week...

I'll to go reading books and board games first!
My strategy is to put new releases on my wishlist and only buy them after a few years. If you only buy games that are a few years old, it's rare to pay more than €20 for a game
i waited for MSRP for years and now my life has changed and there is no spot for pc-gaming in it anymore. Now is a great time though to actually buy a new card without too much BS.. Check out the links I provided...
