I cannot see how you connect the power supply cables, or whatever, and the USB meter to see the voltages and currents. Thanks for your answer.

good evening sir,i have a samsung tab 3 model SM-T2105 ,the tablet is completely dead ,no charging and no power .i have tested the voltage at the battery connector on the motherboard after disconnecting the battery and connectinng usb cable .and the meter is jumping between 3.6 v and 2.4 v ,its constantly jumping non stop .i think there is a short between the usb port and the battery connector on the motherboard .can you please help me with some advice .thanks.

    Hi Sorin,
First of all thank's for the incredible work you've done through all those videos.
That's gold! We learn a lot from you, so big thank's for sharing your knowledge.
    I'm stuck with a P5200 samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1.
I' ve been checking charging port: OK.
Tried to charge the battery directly with an adjustable power supply just like you do in the video (5V / 3A).
Battery is 4.3V (fully charged) but still nothing.
I can't make it recognized by windows via USB.
The only strange thing is if I hold power up button and plug USB cable, windows tries to recognize it (hear the good connection sound), but then it tells USB device is not working properly.
If I do the same thing with power supply, it charges at about 1.3A, then it decreases indefinitely.
But still nothing happens. Still black screen.
I've looked at the board, there's a resistor (R010) which seems to be dead. Could this be the issue ?
How can I be sure ?
    I'm a big beginner into this !
    Thank you!
    Regards.

    Hi Siron,
I just got the 10.1 version (P5120) from the tablet you got in the Video. A Family member gave it to me as they weren't using it for nearly 2 years as it got rly slow towards the end. When i tested it directly at their place it was completely dead but after leaving it for 30min at the charger (no charging symbol etc) I decided to turn it on with the Odin mode combination, it flashed brightly in a violet-white colour for 2 times, after that it went into download mode, after 30sek I decided to try and boot it up but during the splash screen it just turned off and never turned back on ever since. I already changed out the charging port as the old one seemed to be demaged but still nothing. I also tried dis and reconnecting the battery but even that didn't help nor did any button combo I tried. I came to the conclusion that probabrly my battery is completely discharged and that the violet flashing was probabrly the SOC doing weird things as it didn't have enough power when I managed to start it. I dont have any measuring device to measure how much current if any is going into the tablet but judging by your video there is a little bit going in there, is it eventually going to charge the battery after maybe 2-3days to a point were u can turn it on or will this just be wasted time? I might also add that the tablet was never dropped nor did any intensive programs run on it like 3d games and the water indicators on the backpanal also weren't triggered and as the original charger always was used I rly doubt that the screen or board are demaged, also all ribbon cables are fine, no tears or similar visible damages and I re inserted them all.

Now, sry for the long comment but my 2 main questions are: is there any way that I could charge the battery with an external source? I have a PC PSU here but I think it will supply to many amps even at 3,3v. Alternatively I saw that a guy with the same tablet and probably same problem fixed his by charging it with a cheap power bank without safety mechanism, does this actually work?
Also if I just keep the original psu connected will it eventually have charged enough with the little current that was going through in your video so that the tablet can start up or does that amount of energy not do anything?
Well, as an last option I can always buy a new battery but if i can fix it without spending any extra money that would be awsome.

no..it wasnt charging and was below rated charging voltage...needed to apply some current directly to the battery in order to bring it to charging level..
