@@MrPeardog Well that person may use that isp account to go on things like facebook in their name etc..... maybe that might flag up that the person using it is most likely them idk? But then again it could be anyone downloading the nasty stuff online and need to find out who else is in the house
@@bennybenny7382 There are so many reasons for this. If your neighbor grabs your WPA handshake, cracks it and uses your WIFI for this stuff, do you want to go to jail for CSAM? Another reason is that they use the amount of data in these cases to determine the extend. They also build more cases with the content itself. They process the videos and try to identify victims as well as the abusers. There might be more evidence on the computer itself that links offenders to some of the content. The devices ABSOLUTELY need to be seized.

Why do you need to seize devices from these people? cant you just find out by the ISP and convict them from their activity?
"Who's activity?" The ISP only can say who the subscriber is... Who, behind the door, is the bad guy (or girl....but probably guy)?
