Just noticed two things: 1. Darkseid is doing the classic Capt. Kirk pose on his throne. 2. Joe Morton pulled this same move 30 years ago in Terminator 2 sacrificing himself in his lab to save the world

The scene where the newly resurrected Superman faces Bruce draws a parallel to the Martha scene from BvS. When Supes called out her mother's name, it humanised him in Bruce's eyes. Here Bruce appeals to his human nature by calling him Clark and not Kal or Superman. Amazing detail, Zack.

I didn’t like any of those 1st 3 movies, but recently saw B v S The Ultimate Edition, and that version won me over. I still have issues with Man of Steel, but when I recently rewatched it I was able to enjoy the final 3rd of the movie. This movie, though, is on another level. Close to perfect.
@@GalaxyNexus1 Yeah I see that a lot. Many people like those films a lot more after a repeat viewing. I liked Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Snyder's JL from the start. I really like Snyder's visual way of directing. Every scene is like a painting.
@@justtoolit6051 my biggest issues with those films is Henry Cavill’s Superman. He’s so depressed and depressing, and brooding and fragile and arrogant. Particularly, rewatching them, I really for the 1st time in my life, didn’t like Superman. And during B v S I was routing 100% for Batman to destroy him. If I’m routing for Superman to lose, there’s a problem with Superman. And I didn’t like the dark tone for Superman. I felt none of the hope and aspiration and inspiration from the character. And an overreaching issue I had vs the brilliance of Marvel films, is that everything felt rushed. I actually thought the character study of Superman was interesting, but I felt that should have come 3 movies in. And B v S should have been after like 3 Superman and 2 Batman flicks. We JUST were introduced to Superman, we never saw his joy, just him moping around, and then his 2nd film he has 2nd billing and he dies? Superman’s death is something that should have come way down the line. And then the next film we finally get Justice League and Superman wasn’t even there until the very end. This version of Justice League, though, was fantastic.
@@GalaxyNexus1 I never saw Henry like that TBH. What people were calling depressed and brooding, I was calling realistic. Not every Superman iteration is the same. Its just a different style Superman and I think it fits with modern films.

@Romanogers4ever Compared to Josstice League this is Citizen Cane, but it's still no Infinity War/Endgame, nor could it be. Those movies were a decade in the making and the satisfying payoffs of so many plotlines.
This movie is its own thing though and rightfully so. The first 4 hour rated R superhero movie to deliver on what it promised. It's a crime we might not get a follow up.

Well, I think you're right, since the ship kept saying "This action is irreversible." But I like to think that when Barry crossed the speed of light and reversed time, he changed the outcome to some extent. As that moment showed him manipulating time, he might have actually saved Earth, for now at least.
I know my explanation is a bit crude, I just hope this will be thoroughly explained in possible sequels.

If you look closely at the scene where Diana is dead, you'll see Darkseid walking out of his ship and just before he walks out you cloud actually see Darkseid doing the classic backhand pose.
Zack is the man, hope we see more of his vision.
Of course the best moment from the 2017 version (Superman looking at the Flash in the fight) was Snyder's. So that makes no redeeming moments from Whedon's version.
Because you watched this cut now, I can really recommend you to watch "Justice League Dark: Apokolips War". It's a good and crazy movie and I would really like to know your opinions on it. Many characters from this movie will return in it.

One thing to consider, any different version of a movie is actually a cheat. People online talk about how great the movie is now. However, it is obvious that some of this was improvised and not in Snyder's original vision. For example, this Steppanwolf villain, everyone knew how bad this villain looked and it was all over the internet as well. These days; Directors, Producers and other entertainment creators all review certain sites on what fans want. They use this to improve their product as well as original errors. ''YOU CAN DO THIS WITH ANY MOVIE OR ENTERTAINMENT.''. IMAGINE IF AGE OF ULTON WAS REDONE, IT WOULD BE ONE OF THE TOP MCU MOVIES OF ALL TIME. ULTON WOULD BE MORE SERIOUS LIKE HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THEY WOULD AND THEY WOULD UPDATE OTHER ERRORS.

I ❤ the details that's planted, even the smallest ones, like Clark noticing that Lois is pregnant. The setup with him scanning the others. When Lois arrives, you can clearly see the emotions on Clark's face as he scanned her (us not seeing that but he did). Plus, Zack confirmed in an interview. At the end, Bruce tells him congratulations. All in the details.

The vision and Batman's dream make sense! In Snyder's world Lois and her child die corrupting superman. I feel like Diana is the first one who dies because the anti-life equation is hidden in Themyscira. Darkseid then proceeds to kill Arthur as king of Atlantis, which explains them being absent in the future and Mera taking over.
