I still imagine what it could have been like if Ash fought against Giovanni in Kanto and faced against Mewtwo himself. Would have been awesome if Charizard saw Ash suffering and decided to fight extra hard for him, leading to him destroying Mewtwo's armor and revealing his true form. Maybe it couldn't have worked out but it would have been a great feat for Ash to at least weaken Mewtwo. Might have increased the stakes of the Mewtwo Strikes Back a lot stronger.

Same thing for Kirby Right back at ya! The Japanese version had Songs lifted from Air ride!
Actually most of the music was replaced in mid Johto. The only ones that were really kept were battle themes and Team Rocket’s theme
