Why I love Metallica to this day. They are not just a metal band, no they are composers. Musical Geniuses. Not one of their iconic songs cannot be played by classical instruments.

One of my favorite songs of all time...I'm in my 60s and a Metallica fan, too. Made me cry when i was a pretty young girl, this version made me cry again.
I think that rock and classical music both have the same drama and passion. From another Metallica fan whi loves classical music.
And as someone in my 50s, I have come to appreciate metal even more. 😂 😂 😂 This is beautiful, though.

There are a lot of really great covers of this song - it's a damn good tune - but this one slowly becomes my number one.

The domestic bliss that comes to me when I close my eyes and listen to this is unmatched
I heard how Joe Manganiello had the cellist and violinist play this at his and Sofia Vergara’s. He’d been a fan of Metallica ever since he was a kid and his mom was not a fan of heavy metal rock. But when she heard this at his wedding, she said, “Oh, that music was beautiful. What was it?” and Joe said to her, “It was Metallica, Mom.” And she was shocked. And his brother nodded in approval cause he recognized it.
Probably why they're divorced. 🤣
Metal actually is the closest to orchestral music!! It also sounds great in a bluegrass cover!! I live by this song i want this played at my wake! Fight on brothers and sisters!
